This instruction sheet contains information on how to Surface Mount an Uplift cabinet. These cabinets are available in di󰀨erent sizes.
Read the specic instruction for how your cabinet(s) will be mounted. Electrical options may be provided with your cabinet(s).
Save these instructions for future use and reference. An improper installation voids the warranty. Carefully inspect the cabinet for
damage prior to installation. Installed products cannot be returned.
If you experience any problems with your cabinet, contact your dealer or Robern directly.

Uplift Tech Cabinet
Unpack the mirror. Check the box thoroughly for all hardware and loose parts. Carefully inspect the mirror for damage. All wiring should
be done by a qualied licensed electrician.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock, shut o󰀨 power before wiring the cabinet.
CAUTION: Requires 120 VAC 20 Amp circuit.
CAUTION: This product must be connected to a grounded, metal permanent wiring system or an equipment-
grounding conductor must be run with the circuit conductors and connected to the equipment grounding terminal or lead on the product.
CAUTION: The cabinet must be wired to a 20 Amp GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter) circuit when used in bathrooms and
all other locations required by the National Electric Code.
CAUTION: Maximum shelf load 26.5 LBS
Accessories are available for the Uplift Cabinet. Please consult the accessory instruction guide for installation instructions.

Uplift Tech Cabinet
These instructions are for surface mounting your cabinet, supplied with surface side kit (USMK27D6P)
Note: Two Mounting Bars are supplied with your mounting kit. The chart below outlines the total mounting bar length required
for each cabinet.
Hint: The holes on the Mounting Bars are intentionally left undrilled for easier installation when aligning the Mounting Bars with the
structural supports. Depending on your mounting conguration, one or both mounting bars may need to be cut.

Cabinet Width Total Mounting Bar Width
1. Refer to the mounting bar requirements (below) making sure that all requirements are met when installing the mounting bars.
Total length of mounting bar(s) must equal that shown in chart above
At least one screw in each mounting bar MUST be installed in a structural member (stud, etc.)
At least two mounting screws must be used in each mounting bar.
If two mounting bars are used, then both must be aligned and up against one another
Minimum 4 screws must be used when installing a cabinet
2. Locate and drill four 3/16” holes through the indent line on the Mounting Bar, as required to mount the bar, meeting the above
requirements. Screws not mounted in a structural member (stud, etc.) should use the supplied plastic anchors.

Uplift Tech Cabinet
1. See below for location and dimension of specic model and electric rough-in.
2. Be sure the mounting bar is level and centered horizontally in the cabinet mounting location
3. STRUCTURAL MOUNTED SCREWS:
a. USE #10 x 2” screws (SS674) provided to attach the mounting bar strip to the wall.
b. You can pre-drill a 3/32” hole in the stud
4.PLASTIC WALL ANCHORS MOUNTING SCREWS:
a. Note all mounting requirements listed on previous page must be met for proper installation.
b. Drill a 5/16” (8mm) hole for wall anchor.
c. Insert wall anchor (203-1349) into hole until anchor ange is ush with the wall
d. Insert the #10 x 2” screw (SS674) and tighten until there is a strong resistance.
e. Do not overtighten.

Uplift Tech Cabinet
1. Lift the cabinet and place the cabinet onto the Mounting Bar.
2. Pull bottom of cabinet away from the wall by about 1/2" and attach four Lower Mount Clips (210-1653) onto the cabinet as shown
(some components have been hidden for clarity).
3. You can pre-drill 3/32” holes for the mounting clips at the predetermined location. If there is no support in the wall, use the supplied
plastic anchors with a 5/16” pre-drill hole. Secure with four 10 x 2" screws (SS674).

Uplift Tech Cabinet
Determine if the cabinet is Electric or Non-Electric to proceed.
For cabinets with a lighted front mirror Robern recommends the Maestro® C•L® Dimmer from LUTRON®, Model # MACL-153M.

Other LED control dimmers may operate with this product but have not been tested or veried. It's recommended that the dimmer be
within reach of your mirror so you can adjust the brightness.
For on/o󰀨 (no dimmer) operation a standard wall switch may be substituted in place of the dimmer.
1. Using supplied 3/32 Allen Key remove the four screws to remove the right hand top ceiling panel inside the cabinet.
2a. This will give access to the electrical connection box.
3. Pull eld wiring through the top holes and leave them hanging out of the Electrical Connection Box.
4. There are three ways to connect Uplift Tech depending on your cabinet's electrical options. Make connections as required. These are
detailed on the following page.
5. Go to Section 4 for Final Assembly.

Uplift Tech Cabinet
1. Raise door frame and install the counterweight(s), supplied with your cabinet, into the counterweight tray (inside rear of cabinet).
Door should remain open.
2. Carefully hang door mirror on door frame.
3. Make door electrical connections to door mirror (if equipped-depends on model).
4. Secure door mirror to door frame by installing 4 screws (203-1514) on the inside lower edge of door frame using supplied 3/32 Allen
Key. Do not over tighten.

Uplift Tech Cabinet
6a. Install back mirrors in cabinet by removing 4 screws securing right hand ceiling, if not already removed from electrical wiring, and
place aside. Screws can be removed with supplied 3/32 Allen key.
6b. Position right hand mirror into cabinet and reinstall ceiling. Ceiling should be oriented with ange toward back of cabinet and bent
down.
7. Apply electrical power to cabinet and check all functions.
Note: for 24" cabinets, skip to step 9.
8a. Remove 4 screws securing left hand ceiling, and place aside.
8b. Position left hand mirror into cabinet and reinstall ceiling.

10. The height of the shelves can be adjusted in 1" (25mm) increments. Install shelf clips as shown in channels/holes in interior side of
cabinet.
11. Install the shelves into the channel of the clear shelf clip by sliding shelf into clip from front.

9. With the cabinet properly installed, slide the cabinet door up to the open position. Position the Side Kit on the side of the cabnet
and attach the side kits using the four screws (203-1451) provided with the Surface Mount Kit. Cover screws with caps (SS672).

Uplift Tech Cabinet
Use only a damp cloth to clean. Ammonia or vinegar-based cleaners can damage mirrors.
A 50/50 solution of water and isopropyl alcohol is recommended for cleaning the mirrors.
When cleaning, spray the cloth, not the mirror or surround surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleansers on any part of the cabinet.

At initial power-up, you will notice the interior shelf & defogger ashing a test sequence.
PROGRAMMING THE NIGHT LIGHT
Night light operation using integrated timer
Press and hold the button for approximately 3 seconds. The night light (on door handle) will ash and stay on. The night light is now
programmed and will remain on for the next 12 hours. The night light will turn itself back on 24 hours after it was programmed. This
programming will remain until power is lost, or the programming is removed.
To remove the programming, press and hold the button for approximately 10 seconds. At 3 seconds, the night light will ash; continue to
hold the button until the night light stays o󰀨. The programming is removed.
Night light On/O󰀨
Pressing the button will turn the night light on/o󰀨. This will not a󰀨ect your programming.
Optional Manual night light operation using external wall switch
A wall switch for the night light eliminates the need for the programming button. However, the button will still turn the night light on and
o󰀨 if the wall switch is in the “on” position. Programming will not be retained when night light is turned o󰀨 using the external wall switch.
ACTIVATE THE MIRROR DEFOGGER
Press and release the mirror defogger button, and a red LED will illuminate. Your defogger is now on and will shut itself o󰀨
after 45 minutes.
Press and release your mirror defogger button with the red LED illuminated to manually turn the defogger o󰀨.

Limited Warranty One Year Term
Robern warrants to the original purchaser that, it will, at its election repair, replace, or make appropriate adjustment to products made
by this company shown to have signicant defects in material or workmanship which are reported to Robern in writing within one (1)
year from the date of delivery. Robern is not responsible for installation costs. The warranty is void in the event the product is damaged
in transit, or if damage or failure is caused by abuse, misuse, abnormal usage, faulty installation, damage in an accident, improper
maintenance, or any repairs other than those authorized by Robern. At the expiration of the one year warranty period, Robern shall be
under no further obligation under any warranty, expressed or implied, including the implied warranty of merchantability. Robern shall
not be liable for any consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of its products. Some states
do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Any liability against Robern under any implied warranty, including
the warranty of merchantability, is expressly limited to the terms of this warranty. Permission to return any merchandise under this
warranty must be authorized by Robern and returned prepaid by the purchaser. Claims under this warranty should be sent directly to

Ces instructions concernent le montage en surface de votre armoire, fournies
avec le kit côté surface (USMK27D6P)
Remarque: Deux barres de montage sont fournies avec votre kit de
montage. Le tableau ci-dessous indique la longueur totale de la barre de
montage requise pour chaque armoire.
Conseil: les trous des barres de montage ont été laissés intentionnellement pour
faciliter l'installation lorsque vous alignez les barres de montage sur les supports
structurels. Selon votre conguration de montage, il faudra peut-être couper une
ou les deux barres de montage.

Sugerencia: los agujeros en las barras de montaje se dejan sin perforar
intencionalmente para facilitar la instalación al alinear las barras de montaje con

1. Consulte los requisitos de la barra de montaje (a continuación) asegurándose
de que se cumplan todos los requisitos al instalar las barras de montaje.

DEBE instalarse al menos un tornillo en cada barra de montaje en un

Se deben usar un mínimo de 4 tornillos al instalar un gabinete
2. Localice y taladre cuatro agujeros de 3/16 ”a través de la línea de sangría en
la barra de montaje, según sea necesario para montar la barra, cumpliendo con
los requisitos anteriores. Los tornillos no montados en un miembro estructural
(perno, etc.) deben usar los anclajes de plástico suministrados.

1. Reportez-vous aux exigences de la barre de montage (ci-dessous) en vous
assurant que toutes les exigences sont remplies lors de l'installation des barres
de montage.
La longueur totale des barres de montage doit être égale à celle
indiquée dans le tableau ci-dessus.
Au moins une vis dans chaque barre de montage DOIT être installée
dans un élément structurel (goujon, etc.)
Au moins deux vis de montage doivent être utilisées dans chaque
barre de montage.
Si deux barres de montage sont utilisées, alors les deux doivent être
alignées et l'une contre l'autre
Un minimum de 4 vis doit être utilisé lors de l'installation d'une
armoire
2. Localisez et percez quatre trous de 3/16 ӈ travers la ligne de retrait sur
la barre de montage, comme requis pour monter la barre, en respectant les
exigences ci-dessus. Les vis non montées dans un élément structurel (poteau,
etc.) doivent utiliser les ancrages en plastique fournis.

1. Voir ci-dessous l'emplacement et les dimensions du modèle spécique et de
l'installation brute électrique.
2. Assurez-vous que la barre de montage est de niveau et centrée
horizontalement à l'emplacement de montage de l'armoire.
3. VIS MONTÉES SUR LA STRUCTURE:
a. UTILISEZ les vis n ° 10 x 2 ”(SS674) fournies pour xer la bande
de barre de montage au mur.
b. Vous pouvez pré-percer un trou de 3/32 ”dans le montant
4. VIS DE MONTAGE DES ANCRAGES MURAUX PLASTIQUES:
a. Notez que toutes les conditions de montage énumérées à la page
précédente doivent être satisfaites pour une installation correcte.
b. Percez un trou de 5/16 ”(8mm) pour l’ancrage mural.
c. Insérez l'ancrage mural (203-1349) dans le trou jusqu'à ce que la
bride d'ancrage soit au même niveau que le mur.
d. Insérez la vis n ° 10 x 2 ”(SS674) et serrez jusqu'à ce qu'il y ait une
forte résistance.
e. Ne pas trop serrer.
