Wenn Sie die ZIP-Datei heruntergela-
den haben, entpacken Sie diese auf ei-
nen USB Stick in dessen Basisverzeich-
nis. Anschließend verbinden Sie den
Stick mit dem USB Port am Oszilloskop
und drücken die Taste SETUP [13] im
GENERAL-Bedienfeldabschnitt.

Dies öffnet das folgende Softmenü:

In dem Menü wählen Sie die Seite 2
durch drücken der Softmenütaste
neben SEITE 1|2, falls sie nicht bereits
geöffnet ist. Hier finden Sie den Menü-
punkt AKTUALISIERUNG.
Nach Anwahl dieses Menüpunktes
öffnet sich ein Fenster, in welchem die
aktuell installierte Firmwareversion
mit Angabe der Versionsnummer,
des Datums und der Buildinformation
angezeigt wird.

Die HMO352x Serie wird ständig weiter
entwickelt. Sie können sich die aktuelle
Firmware unter www.hameg.com/hmo
3524 herunterladen. Die Firmware und
gegebenenfalls Hilfe ist in eine ZIP-Datei
gepackt.

Nun wählen Sie, welche Aktualisierung
Sie vornehmen möchten, die Firmware
oder die Hilfe. Wenn beides aktuali-
siert werden soll, so empfiehlt es sich,
zuerst die Firmware auf den neuesten
Stand zu bringen. Nachdem Sie mit der
Softmenütaste die Firmwareaktualisie-
rung gewählt haben, wird die entspre-
chende Datei auf dem Stick gesucht und
die Informationen der neu zu installie-
renden Firmware auf dem Stick unter
der Zeile NEU: angezeigt.

Sollte Ihre Firmware auf dem Gerät der
aktuellsten Version oder älter entspre-
chen, so wird die Versionsnummer rot
angezeigt, ansonsten erscheint die
Versionsnummer grün. Nur in diesem
Falle sollten Sie die Aktualisierung
durch Drücken der Softmenütaste
AUSFÜHREN starten.
WICHTIG: Der Menüpunkt AUSFÜH-
REN wird erst anwählbar, wenn der
USB-Stick erkannt, die richtige Datei
gefunden, geladen und die Prüfsumme
getestet wurde.
Anschließend wird das Update aus-
geführt und das Oszilloskop neu
gestartet. Stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass
während der Aktualisierung das Gerät
nicht ausgeschaltet wird oder eine
Unterbrechung in der Stromversorgung
auftritt. Dies kann das Oszilloskop
beschädigen.

HILFE Aktualisierung
Wenn Sie die Hilfe aktualisieren oder eine zusätzliche Hilfesprache hinzufügen möchten, so wählen Sie
HILFE in dem Aktualisierungsmenü. Nun werden im Informationsfenster neben den installierten Sprachen
mit der Datumsinformation die entsprechenden Informationen zu den verfügbaren Sprachen auf dem Stick
angezeigt.

Mit dem Softmenü lassen sich
Sprachen hinzufügen, entfernen oder
aktualisieren. Wenn Sie mehrere
Hilfesprachen installiert haben und
alle gleichzeitig auf den neuesten Stand
bringen möchten, dann wählen Sie
den Softmenüpunkt SPRACHE durch
Drücken der entsprechenden Soft-
menütaste.
Anschließend wählen mit dem Univer-
saldrehknopf ALLE aus und starten
die Aktualisierung durch Drücken der
Softmenütaste AKTUALISIEREN.
WICHTIG: Der Menüpunkt AKTUALI-
SIEREN wird erst anwählbar, wenn der
USB-Stick erkannt, die richtige Datei
gefunden, geladen und die Prüfsumme
getestet wurde.

After downloading the ZIP data unpack
it into an USB stick’s basic directory.
Thereupon insert the stick into the USB
port of the oscilloscope and push the
key SETUP in the GENERAL area of the
front panel.

This will open the following softmenu:

Choose page 2 in the menu due to
pushing the softkey beside PAGE 1|2,
if page 2 has not been opened already.
Here you find the menu item UPDATE.
After selecting this menu item a window
will open which displays the actual
firmware version indicating the version
number, the date and build information.

Now choose which to update: the
firmware or the help function. If both
are to be updated it is recommended
to first update the firmware. After you
selected firmware updating by pushing
the appropriate key the respective date
will be searched on the stick, the infor-
mation of the firmware to be updated
from the stick will be displayed below
the line NEW:

In case the new firmware should be
identical to the existing one, the number
of the version will be shown in red,
otherwise it will be shown in green; only
then should you activate the updating by
pushing the soft key EXECUTE.
IMPORTANT: The menupoint EXECUTE
can only be chosen, if the USB Stick is
recognized, the right file is found and
loaded and the checksum is correct.
The scope will update the firmware and
reboot itself. Please make sure, that
there is no interrupt at the main power
during the update process! Other-
wise this can be make the instrument
unusable.

HELP language update
If you want to update the help or install an additional Help language, please choose HELP within the update
menu. You will now see the installed HELP languages including date informations and the on the USB stick
available HELP languages in the information window.

Using the softmenu you can add,
remove or update HELP languages. If
you have installed more than one HELP
language and want to update all toge-
ther, then please activate the softmenu
LANGUAGE due to pushuing the related
softkey.
Afterwards use the universal knob in
order to choose ALL at the submenu
and start the update process with
pushing the softkey next to UPDATE.
IMPORTANT: The menupoint UPDATE
can only be chosen, if the USB Stick is
recognized, the right file is found and
loaded and the checksum is correct.
