Getting Started
Initial Set Up:
1) Find a home for your press and try to leave it there. The machine is heavy and better
kept in one place.
2) We recommend a 3 gallon air compressor, but the machine can operate with larger
units. Connect the air compressor to the press using a 10mm tube.
3) Follow this step-by-step guide for how to set your temperature and length of press.
Remember to start with a small batch for testing until you lock in your optimal
temperature and length of press.
Electrical Requirements: 110 Volt | 250 Watts | 2 Amps

STEP 1:
PLUG IN / TURN ON
●Once you’ve plugged in your press, and flipped on the power, both controllers will
light up and plates will begin heating!
TIP #1: Please note the control panel on the left hand side controls the top heating plate
as well as the timer for length of pressing. The control panel on the right controls the
bottom heat plate only.

STEP 2:
ENTER SETTINGS MODE
●Press the “SET” button one time. You are now in the ‘edit settings’ mode.

STEP 3:
ADJUST TEMPERATURE
●Press the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the temperature of the plates.
●Once you have found your desired temperature, press the “SET” button to change from
P-1 to P-2.
* TIP #2: Default setting is to Fahrenheit.

STEP 4:
ADJUST LENGTH OF PRESS
●Now the screen shows P-2. Press the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the
length of timer for each press.
●Once you have found your desired time, press the “SET” button which will change P-2
to P-3.
*TIP #3: P-2 = Set Time of Press.

STEP 5:
LET PLATES HEAT UP
●From P-2 screen, press Set twice to return to normal screen
●P-3 changes display from F to C, please refer to end of manual on how to switch
●Now that you’ve set your temperature and length of press, its time to let both heating
plates warm up.
*TIP #4: To set the temperature on the bottom heat plate, use the right control panel and
follow the same steps. Remember length of press isn’t a factor here although it will allow you
to change the setting.

STEP 6:
SPEED / PRESSURE CONTROL
●The pressure control knob is located in the middle of the machine, directly below the
disengage button (Fig 1).
●The pressure control knob when closed and tightened will slow down the plate speed
(Fig 2).
●When the pressure control knob is open and loose, the plate speed will increase (Fig 3).

STEP 7:
ENGAGE PRESS
●Two Engage buttons are located on left and right side controls and green in color (Fig 1).
●To begin the press, press both engage buttons at the same time.
●Plates will begin to close at desired speed set by pressure control.
Tip: If press will not engage after release emergency stop button.

SET FAHRENHEIT° TO CELSIUS°
●Press set button, until you see P-3 to change the display from Fahrenheit (F°) to Celsius
(C°).
●Use up and down arrows to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit
●Click set again to leave settings and return to normal mode
