Operating instruction for the
electronic-lock LETTERA
!!CAUTION!!: Please read this operating instruction carefully,
before operating the lock or trying to tailor a new combination
of numbers. We do not assume any liability
caused by functional disorder as a result of faulty switch
over or due to use of violence or improper use by the operator.
Neither do we assume any responsibility for damage
caused, nor for loss of property which could be put
down i.e. to the not proper interlocking of the safe.
1. Inserting the batteries.
1.1 You will have to insert four [4] pieces of 1,5 volt
batteries (batteries are NOT included in the scope of delivery/supply)
1.2 Remove the battery cover on the right side of the
electronic system and insert the batteries.
1.3 Make sure that the batteries were inserted properly.
The correct functioning of the LETTERA will now be examined
1.4 After checking, first 0 [zero] and than < GOOD > will appear on the display.
2. Opening the safe after inserting the batteries.
2.1 For the first-time opening of the safe, please press the < START > button .
2.2 The Display shows < - - - - - - - >
2.3 You will now be able to enter one of the two the factory codes:
0-0-0-0-0-0 (user code)
or
8-8-8-8-8-8 (master code).
2.4 Now the green LED flashes.
2.5 Turn the handle to the right to open the safe (please proceed within a four [4] seconds time
duration).

3. Programming a new code.
Please note: You will be able to store two different codes.
After the first entry you should change both codes for
your own security.
A Programming < Code 1 >.
a.1 Press the < START > button.
a.2 A short tone will be audible and < - - - - - - - > will appear on the display.
a.3 You can now enter your new 6-digit personal number/ code, for < Code 1 >.
a.4 Now press the red button (situated inside the door near the hinges).
a.5 A short tone will sound and will be legible on the display. For checking purposes your entered
code will appear on display afterwards.
a.6 < Code 1 > now has successfully been programmed.
B Programming < Code 2 >
b.1 Press the red button (situated inside the door near the hinges).
b.2 A beep will be audible, < . . . . . . . > appears on the display and the display flashes.
b.3 Now press the < START > button.
b.4 You will then be able to enter a 6-digit personal number/code, for < Code 2 >.
b.5 < IN > will be legible on the display and for checking purposes, your entered code will appear
on the display.
b.6 < Code 2 > has now successfully been programmed.
4. Opening the safe.
4.1 For opening the safe, please press the START button.
4.2 The Display indicates - - - - - - - .
4.3 Now you can enter one of the two [2] programmed codes (either Code 1 or Code 2, each o
them with 6digits).
4.4 Now the green LED flashes.
4.5 Turn the handle to the right to open the safe (please proceed within a 4 seconds time duration).
ATTENTION!
After entering a wrong number-combination a tone will appear three times and the red LED will light
up. The safe will not open.
After a four times (consecutively) wrong code, the electronic lock system will be blocked and locked.
You can use the emergency-key to reactivate the electronic lock.

5. Battery replacement warning.
While pressing < START > and reading < LO-BAE > [low battery] on the display: this indicates a low
battery charge and the need of replacement.
6. Inserting new batteries.
Refer to point 1 below: <Inserting the batteries>.
The use of ALKALINE batteries is highly recommended.
7. Mechanical emergency-opening
In case of forgotten user code(s), please remove the battery cover first and then take the batteries out.
Insert in the emergency-key and turn to the left until its stop. Turn the knob clockwise (to the right) to
manually open your safe.
You will be able to open the safe at any time by means of this procedure.
Attention:
Your new Safe and it’s content aren’t automatically insured.
Please write a letter to your insurance about the insurance
value you’d like.
