WARNING
Never expose eyes or skin to ultraviolet light
from any source. Before installing or performing
maintenance or service on the purier,
DISCONNECT from main power. Electrical
shock can cause injury or death.
Do not touch Lamp glass without gloves.
Reduced performance of Lamp may result.
Clean Lamp after handling.
The UV Lamp contains a small quantity of
mercury. If a Lamp breaks, clean and dispose
of with care.
Use only specied replacement Lamps with
your Purier. Use of an incorrect Lamp can
result in damage to the Purier and/or Lamp
therefor voids warranty.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
When servicing UV purication-ltration equipment, observe precautions in the literature, tags and labels attached to the
unit, and other safety measures that may apply. Follow all safety codes. Wear safety glasses and work gloves.
GENERAL
The SANUVAIR® S1000 is a combination Ultraviolet - Filter Air Purication System. The SANUVAIR® S1000 UV
Germicidal Photo-Oxidation process (UVC/UVV) destroys bio-chemical contaminants such as mold, viruses, bacteria,
germs, chemicals, cigarette smoke, VOC’s and odors. The SANUVAIR® S1000 is also equipped with two 1” pre-lters and
a MERV 14 (95%) efciency lter. 99.97% HEPA Filter available. Details below.

STEP 1
Install Inlet / Outlet Collars (each collar is a set of 2 x 8” round inlet and outlet)
Open the access door and insert the two pairs of collars into the SANUVAIR® S1000. Align the holes and screw down
each pair of collars from the top of the SANUVAIR® S1000 with the included philips screws (6 screws per collar). Pay
special attention to the orientation of the notch on the right side collar.The notch (highlighted in black) should be pressed
up against the right side of the SANUVAIR® S1000.
STEP 2
Installation of the UV Lamp
The UV Lamp is to be installed in the Aluminum Reecting Chamber. To slide out the Aluminum Chamber, remove the two
buttery bolts and screws which secure it in place.
* A clamp (or two, if you ordered an optional second lamp) is there to hold the lamp(s).
MAKE SURE TO PUT THE RIGHT LAMP IN THE RIGHT CLAMP (see label identier).
Adhere the included foam gasket (included
in the Lamp box) to the porcelain end-cap
with the 4 pins.
Insert the end-cap with foam gasket into the
clamp assembly and tighten. Be careful not to
over tighten as it may result in end-cap breaking.
Insert the white-plug into the UV Lamp’s 4
pins. The plug will only t in two of four ways.
Either way is ne. The exposed wire-set is
Teon coated and is resistant to UV exposure.

MAINTENANCE
Visual inspection of the lter media should be performed and replaced as needed. The 1” pre-lters are designed to be an
inexpensive replacement while extending the life of the main lter. Although the Lamp may “shine” for many years, the UV
Lamp does age at which point it may become ineffective. The UV Lamp should be replaced after 17,000 operating hours.
OPERATION
The SANUVAIR® S1000 is now ready to be plugged into a 110V outlet. The SANUVAIR® S1000 may be used in many
diverse applications. When ducting-in the unit, avoid 90 degree elbows when possible.
STEP 3
Insert Filters
Insert the two (2) pre-lters and the main lter. Follow the arrow for airow for proper lter direction. After the main lter is
installed, close the latch to secure the lter in place. Close the door of the blower compartment.
