WARNING
The unit MUST BE DISCONNECTED
from all power sources before installing
a UV lamp or performing maintenance
or service. Never directly expose eyes
or skin to the UV light. Do not touch
lamp glass without gloves: reduced
performance of lamp may result. Clean
lamp after handling. UV lamps contains
a small quantity of mercury: if a lamp
breaks, clean and dispose with care.
Use only Sanuvox branded replacement
lamps with your unit: the use of any other
lamp will void your warranty and may
result in damage to the unit and/or lamp.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Sanuvox UV air disinfection unit. Sanuvox UV systems are the most
advanced, having been proven to help reduce up to 99.99% of biological and chemical contaminants. Sanuvox systems
have been tested by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), The National Homeland Security Research Center,
medical universities and independent third party laboratories.
The VP900 Interceptor is designed to disinfect the air up to 900 square feet of space, helping reduce biological and
chemical contaminants. The included UV lamp is already pre-installed at the factory.

UV LAMP REPLACEMENT
You can validate at anytime that the UV lamp is functioning by viewing the
"UV Port" which is found mounted in the "Lamp Access Door".
1.Disconnect power to the unit.
2.Remove the four (4) screws on the top of the VP900 Interceptor
with hold the lamp access door in place (Figure A).
3.Carefully remove the white plug from the lamp.
4.Move the lamp clamp lever downward to loosen the clamp from the lamp.
5.Slowly remove the old lamp.
6.Insert the new lamp.
7.Lift the lamp clamp lever so that it is perpendicular (at 90°) to the lamp.
8.Holding the ceramic base, attach the plug to the lamp.
Theplugwilltinonedirectiononly.
It may be necessary to rotate the plug 90° to attach it.
9.Replace the lamp access door.

AVAILABLE VOLTAGES
(Must be specied before ordering)
VP900 Interceptor 12 VDC (12V) :
Must be wired to a 12V source.
The RED is positive, BLACK or WHITE is common.
VP900 Interceptor 110 VAC (110V) :
May be plugged into an outlet.
OPTIONS
VP900 Interceptor Timer : Allows for the VP900 Interceptor to turn "ON" and "OFF" on a pre-determined schedule.
Only available on 110V model.
Duct Kit : Includesapairofadaptors(rectangleto4"round),apairof4"louversandfour(4)clampstoholdtheexible
aluminum 4" duct in place (duct not included). This allows the VP900 Interceptor to be placed behind a wall or hidden from view.
MAINTENANCE
There is very little maintenance required on the VP900 Interceptor. Periodic cleaning should be performed. The UV
lampmayfunctionformanyyears,butovertime,theUVefciencydecreases.Forbestresults,theUVlampshouldbe
replaced every 3 years, guaranteeing the highest performance from your unit.
TROUBLESHOOTING THE UV LAMP
Sanuvox UV lamps are built to the highest standards.
If at anytime you cannot see the “glow" of the UV lamp
through the outlet louvers, it may be because the lamp
has failed. To check the UV lamp, DISCONNECT
FROM POWER SOURCES (steps 2-6 of UV Lamp
Replacement). Disconnect the plug from the lamp.
Placing one of the probes of an ohmmeter to one of
the four (4) pins on the end of the lamp, touch the other
probe of the ohmmeter to each of the other pins until
youndthematchingpin.Theohmmeterwillread
approximately 3 ohms (almost a short). This indicates
thatthelamentisgood.Checktheothertwo(2)pins.
IfbothsetsoflamentstestOK,thelampisfunctioning.
Ifoneofbothsetsoflamentsreadanopencircuit
(innity)onresistance,thelampisdefective.

You will need a drill and a 1/4 HEX socket to install this kit.

1.Remove the two (2) thumb screws.
2.Remove the black frame.
3.Removetheltercover.
4.Install the duct adapter plate.
5.Replace the two (2) thumb screws and tighten.
1.Remove the louver.
2.Align the duct adapter plate as per "After" picture.
3.Use a drill with the 1/4 HEX socket and the self taping screws in the kit.
4.Install the duct adapter plate.
