S300 FOR GARBAGE ROOM
INSTALLER INSTRUCTIONS
These instructions are for a garbage room of approximately 2500 cubic feet
One box contains:
 One(1) SANUVOX unit S300FX-GX (no HEPA)
 One(1) SUBKITOZDS300
The S300FX GX unit ill be factory modified to include:
 One(1) ull oxidation J-lamp (UV-V 185nm) (Blue end cap)
 One(1) additional ballast and lamp bracket
 One(1) inside relay (Fig 4) connected to the ull oxidation lamp
 Twenty eet (20) o wire (Fig 3) that can be inserted in BX shield.
 One(1) “ozone controller”(Fig 2) actory pre-set to .025 PPM
 Two (2) replacement pre- ilters
LAMP INSTALLATION
1. Remove the 6 screws on the ront cover (The one with
the S300 FX logo). Put aside.
2. Remove the BLUE END CAP lamp rom packaging: use
the gloves provided.
3. Insert the lamp in the second clamp and tighten.
( urthest clamp rom opening)
4. Plug the white connector tightly onto the lamp
5. Remove the YELLOW END CAP lamp rom packaging: use
the gloves provided.
6. Insert the lamp in the irst clamp and tighten. (closest to
opening)
7. Plug the white connector tightly on the lamp
8. Put the cover back on with the 6 screws

SUGGESTED INSTALLATION Unit could be
 Suspended from ceiling with angles and
suspension rods (not provided).
 Hung on the wall with the supplied angle
iron (included).
Using 8 inch collars, attach duct (metal or flex) to
the return side of the unit above the area where
odors accumulates or where the trash bins are.
Attach duct (metal or flex) to the suppl side of
the unit to discharge clean air over door or
entr wa . This is done to prevent odors from
escaping the room. It is through recirculation that the odors will be removed.
The ozone controller (Fig 2) could be installed on the wall, at 60 inches from the floor and positioned
under the exhaust. The S300 unit comes with 20ft of wire (Fig3) to link the controller box to the unit.
If 20 ft is not long enough, ou can replace it with BX wiring with 3 wires.
WORKING INSTRUCTIONS
 The S300 FX unit runs constantl , so the regular UV lamp is on all the time, purif ing the air.
Simultaneousl , the controller samples the air ever minute.
If the measured ozone level is:
o Less than 0.025ppm, it triggers on the ozone lamp, thus producing oxidizer to lower the
odor.
o More than 0.025ppm, it shuts off the ozone lamp, thus preventing over-ozoning the
room.
 Garbage room odors are chemicall attacked b ozone (O
3
) oxidation, thus transforming itself in
regular ox gen (O
2
). If more odors are generated, less ozone will be present in the air. Since it is
a garbage room, visit will be mostl ins and outs. No one should sta in that room for long
period of times.

OZONE CONTROLLER
Remove the cover.
Connect the 3 wires rom the sensor to the same color wiring coming rom the
unit. Use the wire connectors (marrettes) included.
PROCESS: When the unit turns on, the GREEN LED lashes or 3-10
minutes preheat time. Then the RED LED blinks repeatedly, indicating
that the sensor is sampling the air. I the RED LED remains lit, the relay
opens then triggers on the oxidizing lamp (all UVV).
I the RED LED turns GREEN, the oxidizing lamp is not lit.
PLEASE CHECK IF THE GSS SENSOR IS FIRMLY CONNECTED BEFORE PUTTING
BACK THE COVER

Also available: an ozone controller can be equipped with a data logging USB key that would record each
sampling o ozone level in PPM in the room or a period o up to 3 months
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

 YEARLY: Change lamps to maintain per ormance: make sure to put the same lamp in the same
clamp. Do not interchange lamps as the blue end cap lamp works only with the VOC sensor.
o LMPHGXJ105- Dual zone lamp (yellow end cap) change every 2 years
o LMPHXJ105- All oxidation lamp (blue end cap) change every year
 3-5 YEARS: recalibration o the ozone detector – contact SANUVOX

MAINTENANCE
 REGULARLY:
o Check the ilters a ter the irst 2-3 months o installation. Change pre – ilter (part #
MSCFTR10) to prevent reduced air low and per ormance.
 QUATERLY:
o Every 6 months check the lamps: i they are covered with dust, clean them with
denatured alcohol
 ANNUALLY:
o Change lamps to maintain per ormance: make sure to put the same lamp in the same
clamp. Do not interchange lamps as the blue end cap lamp should work only with the
OZONE sensor.
o LMPHGXJ105- Dual zone lamp (yellow end cap): change every 2 years
o LMPHXJ105- All ozone lamp (blue end cap): change every year
 3-4 YEARS: recalibration or change o the ozone sensor – contact SANUVOX

Powered through the 20 t wiring, it is also connected to a relay in the unit activating an all
ozone second lamp.
 The S300 FX unit runs constantly, so the regular UV lamp is on all the time, puri ying the air.

OVERALL PROCESS
Garbage room odors are chemically attacked by ozone (O3) oxidation, thus trans orming itsel in regular
oxygen (O2). I more odours are generated, less ozone will be present in the air. Since it is a garbage
room, visit will be mostly ins and outs. No one should stay in that room or long period o times.
It is very important that the fan processes the air rapidly.
Changing the filters regularly is a must.
