1. SAFETY
9Ensure that the cutter is securely mounted on a rigid work surface surrounded by
sufcientfreeareatomanipulatetheworkpieceeasilyandsafely.
9 AlwayswearsuitablePersonalProtectiveEquipmenttoguardagainstinjury.Protectivegogglesandglovesareavailablefromyour
Sealeystockist.Nonslipfootwearshouldbeworn.
9 Makesurethattheworkareaiswelllitandiskepttidy.Theoorshouldbedryandclean.
8DO NOT allowngersorhandstocomeintocloseproximitytothecuttingwheelsandbewareofsharpedgesandswarf.
8DO NOT usethisproductiftiredorundertheinuenceofalcoholordrugs.
9 Keepchildrenwellawayfromthisproductatalltimes.
2. INTRODUCTION
Benchmounting,8mmplate-steeldisccuttersuitableforcuttingupto16gaugesteelsheet.
Deepthroatandsmallcuttingdiscallowstightercurvestobecutthantraditionalstraightbladecutters.Ratchetactioncutterblade.Suitablefor
carrestorationworkaswellasgeneralworkshopuse.
3. OPERATION
3.1. SET-UP (seeg.1)
ALWAYS weargloveswhenadjustingthecutterwheel.
3.1.1. Theedgeofthecutterwheelneedstooverlaptheedgeofthefeederwheel
byapproximatelythesamevalueasthethicknessofthemetaltobecut.Itis
recommendedthatapieceofscrapmaterialofthetypetobecutisusedtodeterminethe
optimumsetting.
3.1.2. Toachievethis,rstlyloosenboththeupperandlowergrubscrewsusingthehexkey
provided.
3.1.3. Toincreasetheoverlap,screwthelowergrubscrewin(clockwise)untiltherequired
overlapisreached.Tightentheuppergrubscrewuntilagentleclampingforceisapplied.
3.1.4. Todecreasetheoverlap,slackenthelowergrubscrewandturntheuppergrub
screwclockwiseuntiltherequiredoverlapisreached.Tightenthelowergrubscrewgently
tolockthecutterwheel.
3.1.5. Ifthecutterwheelisreluctanttomove,usetheatsonthetailofthecamshafttomove
thecutterwheelandresetaccuratelyusingthegrubscrews.
3.2. CUTTING
3.2.1. Havingsettheoverlap,introducetheworkpieceintothebitebetweenthecutterwheeland
feedwheel.
3.2.2. Makesurethatwastesideoftheworkistotheright(feederwheel)side.
3.2.3. Makingsurethatthepawlissittingovertheratchet,pullthehandleforwardwhilstapplying
slightpressurewithyourotherhandtowardthecut.
3.2.4. Keepthecuttingactionsmoothuntilthecutisnished.Iftheactionisstiff,reducetheoverlapslightlyasin3.1.4.
