Sensear SMART EARMUFF User manual

QUICK START GUIDE
SMART EARMUFF
USING THE HEADSETS
CHARGING
Sensear’s Smart SENS® Earmuff Headset serves three purposes:
hearing protection up to 27dB NRR, enhanced face-to-face speech
communication, and 360° situational alertness.
With the Smart Earmuff, users will protect their ears and hear their
peers. This is achieved through Sensear’s industry-leading SENS®
Technology which enhances speech and suppresses background
noise so users can communicate face-to-face safely and effectively in
noisy environments.
This headset has several applications, including recreation (ATVs,
helicopter rides, gun ranges, etc.), lawn service/maintenance (listen
to FM/AM radio), and workshops (metal/woodworking).
ENVIRONMENTAL
MODES
SENS® (Speech Enhancement Noise Suppression) Technology
When the headset is powered on, it is automatically in SENS® mode,
which allows 360° situational awareness of surroundings and face-to-
face communication. By pressing the power button, you can toggle
between SENS® mode (green LED light will blink twice every 4
seconds) and Quiet mode (green LED light will blink once every 4
seconds). Quiet mode only allows audio from communication devices
to pass through the headset. The volume control buttons can be used
to raise or lower the audio level of SENS®.
The Smart Earmuff is a SM1P Student Headset and will automatically
be in Short-Range mode when powered on for the first time. Short-
Range will need to be turned off when the headset is powered on by
short pressing the volume buttons simultaneously. This will ensure
that Short-Range remains off every time the headset is powered on.
The headset should be regularly charged. To charge your headset,
connect the charger to the headset and connect to the main power.
While charging the Right Indicator LED will be Red.
When charging is complete the Right LED will turn Green.
If battery is low, the Right LED will flash Red (when the unit is turned
on)
Note: Be sure to charge your headset fully before first use.
Note: Your headset will automatically power up when the
charger is connected to the headset.
