Theseelectromotoricactuatorsrequireno maintenance. Theyhaveareversible
asynchronousmotorwhichdrivesthemainshaftviaspurgearsand aself-lockingworm
gear, whichaccommodatesthe rectangularshaft of the butterflyvalve.Thewormshaft
isfittedwithadirect-acting manualadjuster.
The actuatorsaresuppliedwitha90°angleofrotation suitableforusewithSiemens
butterflyvalves.Duringautomaticoperation,rotation islimited bytwobuilt-inend-
switches.
The direction ofrotation oftheactuatorcanbereversed(referto «Commissioning»). To
preventthe temperatureinsidethehousing fromfallingbelowthedewpointtemperature,
theactuatorsaresupplied withabuilt-inheatingelement(AC230 V,power
consumption5W).

witheachpulse.Thepulse-to-pauseratioiscontinuously
adjustableandcan thereforebeusedtoachievelongerrunning
timesforanangleofrotation of90°(referto «Commissioning»).

The actuatorsmust beelectricallyconnectedinaccordancewithlocalregulationsand
withtheconnectiondiagrams.

The valveand actuatorcanbe assembledstraightforwardlyonsite. Thereisno need
forspecialtools.

•Releasepressureinthepipesandallowthemtocooldowncompletely
If necessary, disconnectelectricalconnectionsfromterminals.
The valvemustbere-commissionedonlywiththe manualadjusterortheactuator
correctlyassembled.
Disposal The actuatorcontainselectricalandelectroniccomponentsandmust not bedisposed
of togetherwithdomesticwaste.
Legislationmaydemandspecialhandlingof certaincomponents,oritmaybesensible
froman ecologicalpointofview.
