Safety Information 1
Tests or settings performed using radiation are indicated by the radiation symbol .
Radiation protection clothing must be worn when performing such procedures.
Protective Conductor Measurement 1
After all work has been completed and all covers have been attached, perform a protec-
tive conductor measurement according to TI 236 / ARTD-002.731.17...
The protective conductor resistance must not exceed 0.2 Ohm.

These instructions apply only to connecting a laser camera to a SIREMOBIL Compact.

Mechanical installation of the video separator device 1
•Installthevideo separatordevice(OTV)asindicatedinFig.1.
Usethemountingbracketand secureit with the two threaded bolts.
Thevideosocketsshouldpointtowardthebackofthemonitortrolley.
Installing the isolated video socket and remote release socket 1
•Drill two holes usingthedimensionsindicated in Fig. 2. The left one should be 17 mm for
thevideosocketandtherightone should be 16mm for the remote release socket.
•Inserttheremoterelease socketintherightholeas a drilling templateandthen drillboth
ofthe3 mm attachment holes.
•Installthe videosocketaccordingto Fig. 2 inthe lefthole(isolated).
•Subsequently,use a DMM totest whether the video socket is isolated.

without multi-format camera / without video printer 1
•Connectthe control cable at the MEMOSKOP"Printer"connector.
•Cut offthe 3.5 mm socket plug.
•Removetheinsulationfrom the ends ofthewires.
•Extendthecableusingthe 2-conductorcable includedwiththe shipment.
•Insulatethe location of the new connections with shrinktubing.
•Routetheendsof the wires throughthe holedrilledfor the remote release socket.
•Solderthewirestotheremotereleasesocket(referto 1/Fig.3and2/Fig.3).
•Solderoneendof the protectiveconductorincludedwiththeshipmenttothe remote
releasesocket(3/Fig.3)and connectthe otherend to the protective conductorterminal
screw(1/Fig.2).
•Installtheremotereleasesocket.
When a multi-format camera is present 1
•Cut offthe 3.5 mm socket plug ofthe existingcontrol cable.
•Removetheinsulationfrom the ends ofthewires.
•Extendthecableusingthe 2-conductorcable includedwiththe shipment.
•Insulatethe location of the new connections using shrink tubing.
•Routetheendsof the wires throughthe holedrilledfor the remote release socket.
•Solderthewirestotheremotereleasesocket(referto 1/Fig.3and2/Fig.3).
•Installtheremotereleasesocket.
When a video printer is present 1
•Cut offthe remote control connectorfor the multi-format camera of the existing control
cable.
•Removetheinsulationfrom the ends ofthewires (greenandwhite wires).
•Extendthegreenandwhitecableusingthe2-conductorcableincluded with the
shipment.
•Insulatethe location of the new connections using shrink tubing.
•Routetheendsof the wires throughthe holedrilledfor the remote release socket.
•Solderthewirestotheremotereleasesocket(referto 1/Fig.3and2/Fig.3).
•Installtheremotereleasesocket.

Power cable 1
•Connectthe power cable ofthevideoseparatordevice at terminalsX2.1and X2.2
(Fig.1).
•Connectthe protectiveconductorto the protectiveconductorterminalstrip(yellow/
green)(Fig.1).
•Routethepowercabletothe video separator deviceand connectit.
Video cables 1
When a multi-format camera or video printer is present 1
•Disconnectthe 75 Ohm terminating resistorfrom the video output of themulti-format
camera ordisconnect theswitchable 75Ohm termination ofthe video printer.
•Connectthe video cable tothe video output of the multi-formatcameraor the video
printer, routeit to thevideoinputofthe opticalvideo separatordevice,andconnectit.
•Routethesecondvideocablefrom the outputof the opticalvideoseparatordevice to the
insulated, built-in video socketand connect it.
Without a multi-format camera or video printer 1
•Connectthe video cable atthe MEMOSKOP "Out3" connector.
•Routethevideocabletothevideoinputofthe opticalvideoseparatordevice.
•Routethesecondvideocablefrom the outputof the opticalvideoseparatordevice to the
insulated, built-in video socketand connect it.
When a video recorder is present 1
•Disconnectthe 75-Ohm terminatingresistorof the video recorder.
•Connectthe video cabletothe video recorderoutputand routeit to the video inputof the
opticalvideo separatordevice.
•Routethesecondvideocablefrom the outputof the opticalvideoseparatordevice tothe
insulated, built-invideo socketand connect it.

Programming 1
(To be performed only if the system is not equipped with a multi-format camera or a video
printer.)
For Memoskop C (with keyboard): 1
•Switchon the system.
•Simultaneously pressthe[CTRL]and [U] keys on theMemoskopkeyboard.
Thiscallsup theUser Setup menu forthe Memoskop.
•Selectthe "CDocumentation"sub-menu.
•ConfiguremonitorA for a SIREMOBIL Compact with one monitor.
•ConfiguremonitorB for a SIREMOBIL Compact with two monitors.
•If the system is equipped with an area dosemeasurement device(Diamentor) , call up
the"KDocumentationofDose"sub-menuandconfigure"yes".
•ExittheUserSetup program.
For Memoskop C-E (without keyboard) 1
•Switchon the system.
•Locatethe adapter connectorinstalledat the MemoskopC-Ekeyboardconnector.
•Connect the service PC to the MemoskopC-E adapter connector and start Windows.
•Call up the"terminal.exe" program.
•Setthefollowingin the "terminal.exe" menu::
•Settheinterfaceused (COM1 / COM2).
•The keyboard will beemulated by the service PC.
9600 Baud 8 Bit Parity none 1 Stopbit
The "Home" key (>|<) is not present on the service PC keyboard.
Enter the letter O in the User Setup main menu instead.
In the User Setup sub-menus, enter the number which follows the
last number displayed.
For example: The last sub-menu is selected by entering 12. -> The
number 13 then represents the "Home" (>|<) key.
The key codes for the keys [<] and [>] differ from the MEMOSKOP
keyboard to the PC keyboard. Therefore, the service PC uses the
[Backspace] and [/] keys to emulate the [<] and [>] cursor keys
respectively.
For PC’s with German keyboards, the code [/] is produced by
simultaneously pressing the [Shift] and [7] keys.

•Pressthe [CTRL] and[U]keys on the service PC simultaneously.
This opens the UserSetup menu for the Memoskop.
•Select the"C Documentation" sub-menu.
•Configure monitor A for a SIREMOBIL Compact with one monitor.
•Configure monitor B for a SIREMOBIL Compact with two monitors.
•Ifthesystemis equippedwith an areadose measurement device(Diamentor),open the
"K Documentation of Dose"menu and configure"yes".
Function tests 1
•Connectan oscilloscopeto the videoinputand the video output of the opticalvideo
separatordevice.Thevideo outputmustbe terminatedwith75 Ohm.
•Open a test image (horizontal sawtooth) using the service PC.
Thevideosignalshouldbe1:1.
Checkforthefollowing:
- correcttermination(75 Ohm) ofthe video signals (cable)
- thesyncamplitudeandthe totalamplitude of the BAS signal
•Connect aDMM to both contacts of theremote release button.
•Switch theDMM to audible signal (continuity tester).
•Pressthe hardcopy releasebuttonon the keyboard of the monitor trolleyand the release
buttononthebasicsystem.
Waitapproximately7 seconds afterpressingthefirstbutton before pressing the second.
➪The DMM must beep briefly.
Final steps 1
•SwitchofftheSIREMOBIL.
•Installallcoversagain.
•Testtheprotectiveconductorusingtheprotectiveconductormeter 4415 899 RV090.
