ThisistheFactoryAcceptanceTestfortheSimradSC90Fishndingsonar.
ThepurposeofthisFactoryAcceptanceTestistoverifythattheSC90systemisfully
functional,andmeetstheoperationalrequirements.Itisthenreadyforpackingand
shipment.Whenallthetaskshavebeendone,thereportformmustbesignedbythe
relevantparties.Thecompleteddocumentthenbecomestheofcialreport.
Note
Duetophysicalandfunctionalrestrictions,theFactoryAcceptanceTestoftheSC90is
donewithoutHullUnitandtransducer.ThehullunitandtheMotorControlUnitare
replacedwithahullunitsimulator .Thetransducerisreplacedwithadummyload.
Personnelandlocation
Successfulcompletionofthetestrequiresqualiedandexperiencedtestengineers
and/ortechnicians.
ThisFactoryAcceptanceTestisdoneattheKongsbergMaritimepremisesinHorten,
Norway.ThetestisdonebypersonnelfromKongsbergMaritime.Allpersonnelmust
havegoodknowledgeoftheproductand/ormodule(s)athand.Basicknowledgeof
computerBIOSandtheWindows®operatingsystems,aswellaselectroniccircuitryand
deviceprogrammingisrequired.
Representativesfromtheclientand/orendusermaybepresenttowitnessthetestand
results.
Aswithallassemblyandtestproceduresrelatedtoadvancedtechnicaland/orelectronic
equipment,theskilloftheoperatorisvitaltoasuccessfulcompletionofthetasks.The
onlywaytosecurehighqualityofourproductsisrstrateworkmanshipandhigh
professionalstandardsthroughouttheproductionchain.
Itisequallyimportantthatallmembersoftheproductionandtestcrewsshowinitiative,
andarewillingtosuggestimprovementstofunctionality,design,proceduresand
