JEDER VERDIENT EIN SISSEL®SILENCIUM

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erwerb Ihres SISSEL

SILENCIUM.

Sie gehören damit zu einer immer grösser werdenden Be-

nutzerzahl weltweit, die von einer erheblichen Schnarchre-

duktion profitiert und daher ab sofort einen ruhigen und

erholsamen Schlaf geniesst. SISSEL

SILENCIUM wurde ent-

wickelt, um Schnarchenden und ihren Partnern einen stö-

rungsfreien und tiefen Schlaf zu ermöglichen. Lesen Sie bitte

vor dem Erstgebrauch diese Gebrauchsanweisung aufmerk-

sam durch, um die Funktionen, den Effekt und die Vorteile

des SISSEL

SILENCIUM zu verstehen.

WIRKUNGSWEISE VON SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM registriert kontinuierlich die Schlafgeräusche

sowie die Position Ihres Kopfes auf dem Kopfkissen. Es dreht Ihren

Kopf selbständig, leise und sanft zur Seite, sobald ein Schnarchen

festgestellt wird. Das Wenden des Kopfes vergrössert den Abstand

zwischen Zunge und Rachen; befreit somit die Atemwege und re-

duziert das Schnarchen. Falls bei der ersten Bewegung noch kein

positiver Effekt erzielt wird, dreht SISSEL®SILENCIUM den Kopf Stück

für Stück weiter: nach links bzw. rechts, auf und ab, bis das Schnar-

chen gestoppt ist bzw. die Position gefunden ist, in der das Schnar-

chen am stärksten reduziert ist.

Mit Hilfe einer speziellen PC-Software (das Bedienelement kann

mit einem PC via USB-Stecker verbunden werden) können Be-

nutzer leicht das Schnarchverhalten aufzeichnen und ablesen.

ANMERKUNGEN

Schnarchen ist generell abhängig von der individuellen Gesund-

heit und des körperlichen Zustands. Alkoholkonsum, Essgewohn-

heiten, Erkältungen, Stress, Medikamente und physische/

mentale Verfassung können zusätzlich Einflüsse auf das Verhal-

ten, die Intensität und die Dauer des Schnarchens haben

ebenso wie auch Ihr persönlicher Body Mass Index (BMI).

Bitte berücksichtigen Sie dies.

HINWEIS

Sollten nach der Nutzung des Kissens Anzeichen von Übermüdung

und Schlafmangel auftreten, können diese ein Zeichen für wei-

tergehende Störungen sein, wie z.B. Schlaf-Apnoe. In diesem Fall

konsultieren Sie bitte Ihren Arzt.

Nach dem Auspacken des SISSEL®SILENCIUM kann kurzfristig ein

charakteristischer Geruch auftreten. Dieser Geruch ist vollkommen

harmlos und wird nach kurzer Zeit verschwinden. Um jeglichen

unangenehmen Geruch zu vermeiden, lüften Sie das Produkt vor

Gebrauch und lassen Sie den Raum für eine Weile gut belüftet.

AUFBAU/KOMPONENTEN DES SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM bietet mehrere Funktionen. Es ist zum einen

ein höhenverstellbares orthopädisches Nackenkissen (SISSEL®

SILENCIUM Basic mit geringerer Nackenstütz-Funktion) aus hoch-

wertigem PU-Schaumstoff mit visko-elastischer Auflage (4) für

höchste Komfortansprüche und einer flexiblen Vario-Einlage (1)

zur Höhenverstellung. Im Inneren des Kissens sind Luftkammern

(2) eingelassen, die Ihren Kopf beim Auftreten von Schnarchge-

räuschen sanft in die gewünschte Position bewegen. Die Sensor-

platte (3) registriert die Kopfposition. Zum Schutz der Mikrofone

(5) hat das Kissen einen luftdurchlässigen, feuchtigkeitsabwei-

senden inneren Schutzbezug. Darüber kommt der hautfreundli-

che, waschbare Kissenbezug.

EINGEWÖHNUNGSPHASE

Die speziellen Produkteigenschaften des SISSEL®SILENCIUM (z.B.

Kopfumlagerung) sowie seine orthopädische Form mit Nacken-

stützfunktion bedürfen oft einer Eingewöhnungsphase (mind. 7-

14 Tage). Zur besseren Eingewöhnung kann die Vario-Einlage

entfernt werden. Abhängig von der Platzierung der Bedieneinheit

(Distanz zum Kopf), können bei Aktivierung der Luftkammern an-

fänglich Geräusche wahrgenommen werden. Wir empfehlen

daher, die Bedieneinheit stets im mitgelieferten Etui und möglichst

weit vom Kopf entfernt unter dem Bett (oder in der Nachttisch-

schublade) – gegebenenfalls zusätzlich in ein Handtuch gehüllt –

zu platzieren. In der Regel werden diese Geräusche nach der Ein-

gewöhnungsphase nicht mehr als störend empfunden.

ELEKTROMAGNETISCHE VERTRÄGLICHKEIT (EMV)

SISSEL®SILENCIUM arbeitet mit einer geringen und sicheren

Spannung (Netzteil: 6 Volt) und ist als Medizinprodukt der

Klasse I (Regel 12) auch für den Einsatz im Krankenhaus, in

der Reha etc. geeignet. Diese Spannung ist vergleichbar mit

der eines Radioweckers und geringer als die einer Heizdecke.

Mittels eines DC-Adapters kann das SISSEL®SILENCIUM auch

im Urlaub (z.B. Wohnmobil) genutzt werden.

HINWEISE VOR DEM GEBRAUCH

Stellen Sie sicher, dass das SISSEL®SILENCIUM in einer sau-

beren und staubfreien Umgebung mit geringer Luftfeuchtig-

keit benutzt wird. Staub und Feuchtigkeit können die

Lebensdauer oder Funktionalität der Technik einschränken.

Verwenden Sie das Kissen nicht in der Nähe von elektrischen

Decken, Heisswasser-Wärmflaschen oder anderen heissen

Objekten, da deren hohe Temperaturen das Kissen oder des-

sen Eigenschaften beschädigen können

ANWENDUNG DES SISSEL®SILENCIUM – INBETRIEBNAHME

Legen Sie das

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

wie ein normales Kissen auf

Ihr Bett (siehe Abbildung).

Active ON – die Luftkammer-Aktivität ist aktiviert. Schnarchge-

räusche werden erkannt und die im Kissen eingebetteten Luft-

kammern bewegen den Kopf des Schnarchenden sanft in eine

andere Position bis das Schnarchen gestoppt ist. Eine Deaktivie-

rung der Luftkammer-Aktivität bzw. Anti-Schnarch-Funktion

(Active OFF) mit gleichzeitiger USB-Verbindung ermöglicht das

Aufzeichnen Ihrer regulären Schnarchgeräusche, wie sie auch

auf Ihrem bisherigen Kissen aufgetreten sind.

Label Rückseite Bedieneinheit:

Belasten Sie das Kissen nicht übermässig, indem Sie es gewalt-

sam zusammendrücken, verbiegen oder eindrücken. Sorgen Sie

dafür, dass die zwei Mikrofone (B) auf der Vorderseite des Kis-

sens frei bleiben. Falls gewünscht, kann das SISSEL®SILENCIUM

zusätzlich mit einem herkömmlichen Kissenbezug (beeinflusst

nicht die Mikrofonleistung), bezogen werden.

Stecken sie den Stromstecker (D) in die Stromverbindung und

in die Bedieneinheit (C). Schieben Sie beide Schalter, Power (F)

und Active (G) auf ON. Beide Lämpchen über der Bedieneinheit

leuchten grün. Platzieren Sie die Bedieneinheit im Etui seitlich

neben oder unter dem Bett. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Kabel

zwischen der Bedieneinheit und dem Kissen nicht gespannt oder

eingeklemmt ist. SISSEL®SILENCIUM wurde für die Benutzung

durch eine Einzelperson entwickelt. Die USB-Verbindung (H)

(USB-Kabel nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) und die PC-Soft-

ware (kostenloser Download auf: www.sisselsilencium.com) er-

lauben es Ihnen, die Schnarcherkennung, Intensität und Position

des Kopfes auf dem Kissen sowie die ausgeführte Bewegung

von SISSEL®SILENCIUM mit jedem konventionellen Windows-PC

aufzuzeichnen. Der Effekt des SISSEL®SILENCIUM kann durch Ver-

gleichen der Schnarchdauer mit und ohne aktiviertem Kissen-

betrieb (G – Active ON/OFF) überprüft werden, siehe oben.

TRANSPORT UND LAGERUNG

Lagern Sie das

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

in seiner Original-Form in

einer trockenen Umgebung (maximal 65% relative Luftfeuch-

tigkeit) und bei angemessener Raumtemperatur (+5 bis +45°C).

Bewahren Sie das SISSEL®SILENCIUM sorgfältig auf (nicht knicken

oder biegen, nicht belasten), um Schäden an der Form oder

Technik des Kissens zu vermeiden. Benutzen Sie zum Transport

möglichst die Originalverpackung.

REINIGUNG UND WARTUNG

Das Kissen kann nicht gewaschen oder chemisch gereinigt wer-

den. Um das Kissen zu reinigen, entfernen Sie den äusseren

Bezug, lüften sie das Kissen aus oder wischen Sie vorsichtig den

inneren, feuchtigkeitsabweisenden Schutzbezug mit einem

leicht feuchten Tuch ab, um Flecken oder Staub von der Ober-

fläche zu entfernen. Der innere Bezug schützt die Technik Ihres

Kissens vor Feuchtigkeitsansammlungen. Der äussere Bezug des

Kissens kann entfernt und entsprechend der Vorgaben des Pfle-

geetiketts (Innenseite des Bezuges) gereinigt werden. Zum

Waschen muss der Bezug nach links gedreht und der

Reissverschluss geschlossen werden.

BRANDSICHERHEIT

Das Material des SISSEL®SILENCIUM ist brandhemmend. Vom

Rauchen im Bett wird eindringlich abgeraten!

GARANTIE DES SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM ist mit einer 2-jährigen Produktgarantie aus-

gestattet. Die Garantie ist nur dann gewährleistet, wenn das Kis-

sen bei einem autorisierten Händler oder Shop erworben wurde.

Die Garantie kann auf 3 Jahre verlängert werden. Bitte

ALLGEMEINE GARANTIEBEDINGUNGEN

• Die Garantie ist nur dann gültig, wenn das

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

entsprechend der Richtlinien der Gebrauchsanweisung be-

nutzt wurde.

• Die Garantie deckt die elektrischen und mechanischen De-

fekte und permanente Deformation des Schaumstoffs mit

mehr als 2 cm der Originalform ab.

• Bei Problemen und Reklamationen wenden Sie sich bitte an

den autorisierten Händler, bei dem das

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

gekauft wurde. Bei Garantiefragen bitte die Original-Rech-

nung oder den Original-Kaufbeleg vorlegen.

• Falls das

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

in der Garantiezeit ersetzt oder

repariert wurde, wird die ursprüngliche Garantiezeit nicht

verlängert.

DIE GARANTIE GILT NICHT

• Falls die in dieser Anweisung angegebenen Richtlinien für die

Benutzung, Reinigung und Wartung für das SISSEL®SILENCIUM

nicht befolgt wurden oder es anderweitig durch mangelhafte

Wartung oder fahrlässige Benutzung beschädigt wurde.

• Falls das Kissen oder andere Komponenten gewaltsam zu-

sammengedrückt, verbogen bzw. eingedrückt oder ander-

weitig übermässig beansprucht wurden und dadurch das

Material auseinanderreisst, seine Funktionalität verliert oder

permanent deformiert wird.

• Falls das Kissen oder dessen Komponenten nass oder durch-

nässt werden.

• Falls das Kissen oder der Bezug verschmutzt oder unhygienisch ist.

• Falls das Kissen oder andere Komponenten verändert oder

ohne schriftliche Erlaubnis repariert wurden.

• Falls das Kissen und dessen Komponenten, insbesondere die

Luftpumpe, Röhren und Luftventile, durch eine hohe Luftfeuch-

tigkeit oder staubige Umgebung beschädigt worden sind.

• Falls der Bezug nicht ordnungsgemäss analog des Etikettes,

das sich auf dessen Innenseite befindet, gewaschen wurde.

DIE RÜCKNAHME KANN ABGELEHNT WERDEN

• Wenn der Inhalt der Produkt-Verpackung unvollständig ist.

• Das Kissen oder dessen Komponenten beschädigt oder un-

tes parti des utilisateurs, de plus en plus nombreux à travers

SEL®SILENCIUM a été conçu pour permettre aux ronfleurs et

turbation. Lisez attentivement les instructions du mode d'em-

COMMENT AGIT LE SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

surveille en permanence les bruits émis

pendant le sommeil ainsi que la position de votre tête sur l'oreiller.

Il tourne votre tête automatiquement, en silence et en douceur sur

le côté, dès qu'un ronflement est détecté. La rotation de la tête

augmente l'espace entre la langue et de le pharynx et libère ainsi

les voies respiratoires, ce qui réduit le ronflement. Au cas où le pre-

mier changement de position n'a aucun effet positif, le

SISSEL®

SILENCIUM

bouge de nouveau la tête du ronfleur : de gauche à

droite, de haut en bas, jusqu'à ce que le ronflement s'arrête ou

bien que la position soit trouvée où le ronflement est réduit au

particulier maximum. Grâce à un logiciel informatique particulier

(l'unité de commande peut être connectée à un ordinateur avec

une fiche USB) l'utilisateur peut enregistrer et consulter les données

émises pendant le ronflement (téléchargement gratuit sur

www.sisselsilencium.com).

REMARQUES

Le ronflement dépend généralement de la santé et de la con-

dition physique de chaque individu. Son type, son intensité,

comme sa durée peuvent peut être également influencés par

les facteurs suivants : votre consommation d'alcool, vos habitu-

des alimentaires, des rhumes, du stress, des médicaments, votre

état physique et mental ainsi que votre index personnel de

masse corporelle (IMC). Il est important de prendre cela en con-

sidération.

CONSEIL

Au cas où vous constatez, après avoir utilisé le

SISSEL®

SILENCIUM

, de la fatigue et du manque de sommeil, cela peut

être a dû à d'autres problèmes persistants, comme par exemple

une apnée du sommeil. Dans ce cas, il est recommandé de con-

sulter votre médecin.

Après avoir sorti le

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

de son emballage, il est

possible qu'une odeur caractéristique apparaisse. Cette odeur est

totalement inoffensive et disparaît rapidement. Afin d'éviter toute

odeur désagréable, laissez le produit à l'air avant toute utilisation

et aérez la pièce pendant un moment.

CONSTRUCTION / COMPOSITION DU SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

est multiple : c’est un oreiller orthopédi-

que à hauteur variable (SISSEL®SILENCIUM Basic avec un soutien

de la nuque amoindrie grâce à sa forme) en mousse de polyu-

réthane de haute qualité avec un revêtement viscoélastique

(4) pour le plus grand confort et la cale Vario (1) flexible à hau-

teur variable. Des cellules d'air (2) sont situées à l'intérieur de

l'oreiller, leur fonction est de bouger la tête dans la position sou-

haitée dès que les bruits de ronflement sont perçus. La plaque

de capteur (3) enregistre la position de la tête. L'oreiller est

équipé d'une housse intérieure de protection perméable à l'air et

imperméable afin de protéger le microphone (5). La housse ex-

térieure, également incluse, est agréable à la peau et lavable.

COMMENT S’HABITUER AU SISSEL®SILENCIUM

Il est possible que les utilisateurs aient besoin d'une période

(entre 7 et 14 jours) pour s’habituer au SISSEL®SILENCIUM, cela

peut être dû à ces fonctions particulières (par ex. changement de

la position de la tête) ou bien à sa forme orthopédique pour le

soutien de la nuque. Vous pouvez retirer la cale Vario de l’oreiller

pour une acclimatation plus rapide.

Du aux cellules d’air mises en marche dans l’unité de commande,

il est possible que quelques bruits soient perçus quel que soit

le placement de l’unité de commande.

C’est pourquoi nous recommandons de placer l’unité de com-

mande toujours dans son étui, loin de la tête, sous le lit (ou bien

dans la table de nuit) ou enroulée dans une serviette de bain.

Après quelques jours d’adaptation, ces bruits ne dérangeront

plus.

VALEURS D’ESSAIS CEM

Le SISSEL®SILENCIUM fonctionne avec une tension faible et

sans danger (alimentation : 6 V) et d'un dispositif médical de

classe I (règle 12) peut être également utilisé dans les milieux

hospitaliers, de réadaptation, etc. Cela est comparable aux

émissions émises par un radioréveil et même moins faible

qu’une couverture chauffante.

Il est possible d’utiliser le SISSEL

SILENCIUM en vacances (par

ex. camping-car) avec un connecteur DC.

Assurez-vous que le SISSEL®SILENCIUM soit utilisé dans un

endroit propre, sans poussière et peu d'humidité. Poussière

et humidité peuvent réduire la durée de vie ou la fonction-

nalité du produit.

Ne pas utiliser l'oreiller à proximité de couvertures électriques,

de bouillottes à eau chaude, ou d'autres objets chauds dont

les températures élevées pourraient endommager l'oreiller

ou ses fonctions.

Posez l'oreiller SISSEL®SILENCIUM sur le lit comme un oreiller

habituel (voir dessin)

Active ON – les cellules d'air vont être activées. Les bruits de

ronflement ont été détectés et les cellules d'air vont bouger la

tête du ronfleur doucement dans une autre position jusqu'à que

le ronflement stoppe.

Il est possible d'enregistrer vos bruits de ronflement réguliers,

tels qu'ils apparaissaient sur votre ancien oreiller, en désactivant

les cellules d'air ou la fonction anti-ronflement (Active OFF) et

en branchant la fiche USB.

Ne surchargez pas l'oreiller en le compressant, pliant ou l'en-

fonçant forcement. Assurez-vous que les deux microphones (B)

situés à l'avant de l'oreiller soient toujours libres. Si vous le sou-

haitez, l'oreiller

peut être livré recouvert

d'une housse d'oreiller classique (cela n'influencera pas la foncti-

onnalité du microphone).

Branchez le câble d'alimentation (D) dans le connecteur d'ali-

mentation et l'unité de commande (C). Mettez les deux inter-

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN

L'oreiller peut être ni lavé ou nettoyé à sec. Pour le nettoyer, en-

levez la housse extérieure, aérez l'oreiller ou lavez avec soins la

housse intérieure imperméable avec un chiffon humide pour en-

lever taches ou poussière de la surface. La housse intérieure pro-

tège la technique de l'oreiller de toute humidité. La housse

extérieure de l'oreiller coussin peut être retirée et nettoyée selon

les directives indiquées sur l'étiquette d'entretien (à l'intérieur

de la housse). Durant le lavage, retournez complètement la

housse et fermez la fermeture éclair.

hoort hierdoor tot een steeds groeiend aantal gebruikers we-

kende slaap genieten. SISSEL®SILENCIUM werd ontwikkeld

om mensen die snurken en hun partners de kans te geven

WERKING VAN SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

registreert continu de slaapgeluiden en de po-

sitie van uw hoofd op het hoofdkussen. Het kussen draait uw hoofd

automatisch, rustig en zacht zijwaarts, zodra snurken wordt gere-

gistreerd. Doordat uw hoofd wordt gedraaid, verruimt de opening

tussen uw tong en uw keel; dit maakt de luchtwegen vrij en ver-

mindert het snurken. Als de eerste beweging van uw hoofd niet

het gewenste effect heeft, draait

uw hoofd

stukje bij beetje verder: naar links of naar rechts, op en neer, totdat

OPMERKINGEN

Snurken hangt gewoonlijk af van de individuele gezondheid en

de lichaamsconditie. Alcoholgebruik, eetgewoonten, verkoud-

heden, stress, geneesmiddelen en fysieke/mentale conditie

kunnen de intensiteit en duur van het snurkgedrag extra beïn-

vloeden. Ook uw persoonlijke Body Mass Index (BMI) speelt

hierbij een rol. U dient hiermee rekening te houden.

Als er zich na het gebruik van het kussen symptomen van over-

MOGELIJKE AANPASSINGSPERIODE

Door de bijzondere eigenschappen van

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

(vb. ver-

plaatsen van het hoofd en orthopedische vorm met nekondersteu-

ning) is er vaak een aanpassingsperiode (ongeveer 7 – 14 dagen)

nodig. Indien gewenst kan de vario-inleg worden verwijderd.

Afhankelijk van de plaats van het bedieningselement (afstand tot

het hoofd), kan bij het activeren van de luchtkamers een licht ge-

ruis worden waargenomen. Wij raden aan om het bedienings-

element in het meegeleverd etui en zo ver mogelijk weg van het

hoofd te plaatsen (vb. in nachtkastje en/of onder extra hand-

doek). Over het algemeen wordt dit geruis na de aanpassingspe-

riode niet meer als storend ervaren.

ELEKTROMAGNETISCHE COMPATIBILITEIT (EMC)

SISSEL®SILENCIUM werkt met een lage en veilige spanning

(voeding: 6 volt) en is als medisch hulpmiddel van klasse I

(regel 12) ook geschikt voor gebruik in ziekenhuizen, in re-

validatiecentra enz. Dergelijke spanning is vergelijkbaar met

de spanning van een wekkerradio en lager dan de spanning

van een elektrisch deken. Door middel van een DC-adapter

kan SISSEL®SILENCIUM ook op vakantie (vb. mobilhome) wor-

den gebruikt.

VÓÓR GEBRUIK

Zorg ervoor dat u het SISSEL®SILENCIUM antisnurkkussen in

een schone en stofvrije omgeving met lage luchtvochtigheid

gebruikt. Stof en vocht kunnen de levensduur en de werking

beperken. Gebruik het kussen niet in de buurt van elektrische

dekens, bedkruiken of andere warme voorwerpen, aangezien

hoge temperaturen het kussen of de eigenschappen van het

kussen schade kunnen toebrengen.

Leg het SISSEL®SILENCIUM antisnurkkussen op uw bed zoals

een gewoon hoofdkussen (zie afbeelding).

U mag het kussen niet te zwaar belasten bijvoorbeeld door het

met geweld samen te drukken, te verbuigen of in te drukken.

Steek de stekker (D) in het stopcontact en verbind het bedie-

twee groene lampjes. Plaats het bedieningselement in het etui

naast of onder het bed. Zorg ervoor dat de kabel tussen bedie-

ningselement en kussen niet spant en niet geklemd zit.

VERVOER EN BEWARING

Bewaar SISSEL®SILENCIUM in zijn originele vorm in een droge

omgeving (maximaal 65 % relatieve luchtvochtigheid) en bij

een passende kamertemperatuur (+5 tot +45 °C). Berg SIS-

SEL®SILENCIUM zorgvuldig op (niet plooien of buigen, niet

belasten), om schade aan de vorm of de technische onder-

delen van het hoofdkussen te voorkomen. Gebruik zo moge-

lijk de originele verpakking als u het hoofdkussen vervoert.

SCHOONMAAK EN ONDERHOUD

Het hoofdkussen kan niet worden gewassen of chemisch ge-

reinigd. Om het hoofdkussen schoon te maken, moet u de

buitenste overtrek verwijderen, het hoofdkussen verluchten

of de binnenste, vochtafstotende overtrek voorzichtig schoon-

vegen met een licht vochtige doek, om vlekken of stof van

het oppervlak te verwijderen. De binnenste overtrek be-

schermt de technische onderdelen van uw hoofdkussen

tegen vochtigheid.

De buitenste overtrek van het hoofdkussen kan worden ver-

wijderd en volgens de instructies van het onderhoudsetiket

(aan de binnenkant van de overtrek) worden gereinigd. Voor-

dat u de overtrek wast, moet u hem binnenste buiten keren

en de ritssluiting dichttrekken.

BRANDVEILIGHEID

Het materiaal van SISSEL®SILENCIUM is brandwerend. Roken

in bed wordt zeer nadrukkelijk afgeraden!

GARANTIE VAN SISSEL®SILENCIUM

Voor

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

geldt een productgarantie van twee

jaar. De garantie is alleen geldig wanneer het hoofdkussen bij

een geautoriseerde handelaar of shop werd aangekocht.

De garantie kan tot drie jaar worden verlengd. Hiervoor

ALGEMENE GARANTIEVOORWAARDEN

• De garantie is uitsluitend geldig wanneer SISSEL®SILENCIUM

volgens de gebruiksaanwijzing werd gebruikt.

• De garantie dekt elektrische en mechanische defecten en

de permanente vervorming van het schuim met meer dan

2 cm ten opzichte van de originele vorm.

• Bij problemen en klachten dient u zich te wenden tot de ge-

autoriseerde handelaar bij wie u SISSEL®SILENCIUM hebt ge-

kocht. Bij vragen over de garantie verzoeken wij u de originele

factuur of het originele aankoopbewijs voor te leggen.

• Indien SISSEL®SILENCIUM tijdens de garantieperiode wordt

vervangen of gerepareerd, wordt de oorspronkelijke garan-

tieperiode niet verlengd.

DE GARANTIE GELDT NIET

• Indien de aanbevelingen van de gebruiksaanwijzing voor het

gebruik, de schoonmaak en het onderhoud van

SISSEL®SILEN-

CIUM

niet werden nageleefd of indien het product op een an-

dere wijze door gebrekkig onderhoud of onachtzaam gebruik

beschadigd werd.

• Indien het hoofdkussen of andere onderdelen met geweld

samengedrukt, verbogen of ingedrukt zijn of op een andere

wijze te zwaar werden belast waardoor het materiaal is ge-

scheurd, permanent is vervormd of de functionaliteit ervan

verloren is gegaan.

• Indien het hoofdkussen of de onderdelen ervan nat of door-

weekt zijn geraakt.

• Indien het hoofdkussen of de overtrek vuil of onhygiënisch is.

• Indien het hoofdkussen of andere onderdelen gewijzigd werden

of zonder schriftelijke toestemming werden gerepareerd.

• Indien het hoofdkussen en de onderdelen ervan, in het bijzonder

de luchtpomp, leidingen en luchtventielen, door hoge luchtvoch-

tigheid of stof in de omgeving zijn beschadigd.

• Indien de overtrek niet is gewassen volgens de regels op het

etiket dat zich aan de binnenzijde van de overtrek bevindt.

COMO FUNCIONA LA ALMOHADA SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

registra continuamente los ruidos durante el

sueño y la posición de la cabeza sobre la almohada. En cuanto de-

tecta un ronquido hace girar la cabeza hacia el lado silenciosa y

suavemente.

El movimiento de la cabeza tiene como objetivo aumentar la

distancia entre la lengua y la garganta y de esta manera despejar

las vías respiratorias lo que en consecuencia reduce el ronquido.

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

girará la cabeza poco a poco y una y otra vez

en caso de que no se logre el efecto deseado con el primer movi-

miento: hacia la izquierda, hacia la derecha, hacia arriba, hacia

COMPONENTES DE LA SISSEL SILENCIUM

ofrece varias funciones. En primer lugar es

una almohada ortopédica de altura ajustable (

INDICACIONES ANTES DEL USO

Asegúrese que la almohada SISSEL®SILENCIUM sea utilizada

en un ambiente limpio, libre de polvo y de escasa humedad.

El polvo y la humedad pueden reducir la vida útil o la funcio-

nalidad de la técnica. No utilize la almohada cerca de cobijas

eléctricas, bolsas de agua caliente u otros objetos calientes,

ya que sus altas temperaturas pueden dañar la almohada o

No sobrecarge la almohada excesivamente ni la comprima,

doble o aplane con violencia. Tenga cuidado de que los dos mi-

la funda exterior para limpiar o airear la almohada. Limpie con

perficie. La funda interior proteje la técnica de la almohada de

puntos de humedad.

La funda exterior de la almohada se puede retirar y limpiar

EFFECTS OF THE SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM continuously records the sleeping sounds and

your head position on the pillow. It turns your head independently,

quietly and gently to the side when a snoring is detected. Turning

of the head increases the gap between the tongue and throat and

thus opens the airways and reduces snoring. If no positive effect is

achieved with the first movement, the SISSEL®SILENCIUM further

turns the head step by step: to the left or right, up and down until

the snoring stops or the ideal position is found in which the snoring

is reduced the most.

By using custom PC software (the control unit can be connected to

a PC via USB connector), users can easily record and analyze the

GENERAL COMMENT

Snoring is generally subject to the individual’s health and body

condition. Alcohol consumption, eating habits, colds, stress, me-

dication and the physical/mental condition may additionally in-

fluence snoring habits, intensity and duration as well as your

individual body mass index (BMI). Please take this into conside-

ration.

NOTE

If you notice signs of fatigue and lack of sleep after using the

pillow, this could be a sign of further problems, such as sleep

apnea. In this case, please consult your doctor.

After unpacking the SISSEL®SILENCIUM, a temporary characteri-

stic odor might occur. This smell is completely harmless and will

odor, air the product before use and keep the room ventilated for

COMPOSITION/COMPONENTS OF THE SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM provides several functions. It is a height-ad-

justable orthopedic neck pillow (SISSEL®SILENCIUM Basic with

less neck support function) made of high-quality polyurethane

foam with a visco-elastic surface (4) for utmost comfort and a

flexible Vario pad (1) to adjust the pillow height.

The embedded air chambers (2) inside the pillow gently guide

your head in the desired position a soon as a snoring sound oc-

curs. The sensor plate (3) registers the head position. For the pro-

tection of the microphones (5), the pillow has an air-permeable,

moisture-repellent inner protective cover. On top comes the skin-

friendly, washable pillowcase.

GETTING USED TO THE SISSEL®SILENCIUM/ADJUSTMENT PERIOD

Users might require some time (min. 7 to 14 days) to adjust to

the special product features of the SISSEL®SILENCIUM (e.g.

changing of head position) and its orthopedic shape with neck

support function. For easier adjustment, the Vario pad can be re-

moved. Depending on the positioning of the control unit (distance

to the head), some sound may initially be registered upon acti-

vation of the air chambers. We therefore recommend to place

the control unit in the supplied case and as far away from the

head as possible under the bed (or in the bedside drawer) – if

necessary, additionally wrapped in a towel. Once accustomed to

the pillow, users will usually not perceive these sounds as distur-

bing anymore.

ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY (EMC)

SISSEL®SILENCIUM operates with safe low-voltage (power sup-

ply: 6 V) and, due to its classification as a medical device class

I (rule 12), is also suitable for use in hospitals, rehab etc. This

voltage is comparable to a clock radio and lower than the vol-

BEFORE USING THE SISSEL®SILENCIUM

Make sure that SISSEL®SILENCIUM is used in a clean and dust-

free environment with low humidity. Dust and moisture can

limit the lifetime and functionality of the technology.

Do not use the pillow near electric blankets, hot water bottles

or other hot objects, as their high temperatures can damage

the pillow or its properties.

USE OF THE SISSEL®SILENCIUM – INITIAL OPERATION

Place the SISSEL®SILENCIUM on your bed like a normal pillow

(see figure).

A deactivation of the air chamber activity and anti-snoring

function (Active OFF) with simultaneous USB connection allows

you to record your regular snoring sounds, as they occurred on

your existing pillow.

Do not expose the pillow to excessive pressure by forcibly squee-

zing, pushing or bending it. Make sure that the two microphones

(B) at the front of the pillow are not covered. If desired, you can

additionally use any conventional pillow case (does not affect

the microphone output) for the SISSEL®SILENCIUM. Plug the

power plug (D) in the power connector and the control unit (C).

Turn both switches, power (F) and active (G) ON. Both lights on

the control panel light up green. Place the control unit with case

at the side of or under your bed. Make sure that the cable bet-

ween the control unit and the pillow is not tightened or pinched.

SISSEL®SILENCIUM was developed for use by a single person.

The USB connection (H) (USB cable not included) and the PC

software (free download at: www.sisselsilencium.com) enable

you to record the snoring habits, intensity and head position on

the pillow, as well as the movement action of the SISSEL®

SILENCIUM with any conventional Windows PC. The effect of the

SISSEL®SILENCIUM can be checked by comparing the snoring

time with and without activated pillow mode (G - Active ON /

OFF), see above.

TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

Store the SISSEL®SILENCIUM in its original shape in a dry en-

vironment (maximum 65% relative humidity) and at a suit-

able room temperature (+5 to +45° C). Store the SISSEL®

SILENCIUM carefully (do not fold or bend, do not expose to

pressure) to prevent shape or technical damage of the pillow.

Use the original packaging for transportation.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The pillow can not be washed or dry cleaned. To clean the pillow,

remove the outer cover, air the pillow or gently wipe the inside,

moisture-resistant protective cover with a slightly damp cloth to

remove dust or stains from the surface. The inner cover protects

the sensitive technical parts of your pillow from moisture build-

up. The outer pillow cover can be removed and cleaned accor-

ding to the instructions on the washing label (inside the cover).

For washing, the cover needs to be turned inside out and the

zipper closed.

FUNZIONAMENTO DI SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM registra continuamente i rumori emessi

durante il sonno così come rileva la posizione della testa sul

cuscino. Muove e gira la testa di lato in modo automatico,

ovviamente con calma e delicatezza, quando viene rilevato il

russamento. La rotazione della testa aumenta la distanza tra

la lingua e la gola e quindi libera le vie respiratorie e riduce il

russare. Se il primo movimento non provoca alcun effetto

positivo, SISSEL®SILENCIUM aumenta leggermente la rota-

zione della testa prima verso destra o verso sinistra, su o giù,

fino a che non si smette di russare e quindi si è raggiunta la

COSTRUZIONE / MATERIALI DEL SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM offre diverse funzioni. E' in primo luogo un

cuscino cervicale regolabile in altezza, (SISSEL®SILENCIUM

Basic con una parziale funzione ortopedica) realizzato in poliu-

retano viscoelastico di alta qualità (4) per il massimo comfort.

L’inserto Vario (1) consente la regolazione in altezza del cu-

scino così da adattarsi meglio alle abitudini dell’utilizzatore.

All'interno ci sono dei cuscinetti ad aria (2), che muovono la

testa al verificarsi del russamento in modo delicato nella posi-

zione desiderata. Il pannello con i sensori (3) registra con

estrema precisione la posizione della testa. Per proteggere i

microfoni (5) il cuscino ha una federa permeabile all'aria ma

non all’umidità e poi una delicata e piacevole federa lavabile.

FASE DI ADATTAMENTO A SISSEL®SILENCIUM

Lo speciale materiale con cui è realizzato SISSEL® Silencium, così

come la sua forma ortopedica con funzione di supporto del collo,

richiedono, in particolare per gli utilizzatori molto sensibili, un

breve periodo di adattamento (minimo 7-14 giorni).

Per facilitare l’adattamento al cuscino, è possibile togliere l’inserto

vario cosi da abbassare l’altezza del cuscino. A seconda della di-

stanza dell’unità di controllo dal cuscino stesso sono possibili leg-

geri rumori nel momento in cui si attivano le celle ad aria. Per

questo motivo consigliamo di inserire sempre l’unità di controllo

nell’apposito astuccio e di collocarlo il più lontano possibile dal

letto (ad esempio nel cassetto del comodino). E’ possibile av-

volgere con un asciugamano l’unità stessa per ridurre ancor di

più il rumore.

Di solito dopo un periodo di adattamento questi rumori non dov-

rebbero più infastidire.

ESPOSIZIONE ALLE ONDE ELETTROMAGNETICHE

SISSEL®SILENCIUM utilizza corrente a bassa tensione (alimen-

tazione: 6 Volt), quindi molto sicura e, in quanto Dispositivo

Medico di classe I (articolo 12), anche adatto per l'uso in ospe-

dale, centri di riabilitazione ecc.

Questa tensione è paragonabile a quella di una radiosveglia

e notevolmente inferiore ad una termocoperta.

Con un adattatore è possibile utilizzare il SISSEL®SILENCIUM

anche in vacanza (ad esempio con il Camper).

CONSIGLI PRIMA DELL’USO

Assicurarsi che SISSEL®SILENCIUM venga utilizzato in un am-

biente pulito e privo di polvere, con bassa umidità. Polvere e

umidità possono limitare la durata e la funzionalità della tec-

nologia. Non usare il cuscino vicino a coperte elettriche,

acqua calda, borse dell'acqua calda, o altri oggetti caldi: le

alte temperature possono danneggiare il cuscino o alcune sue

proprietà.

USO DI SISSEL®SILENCIUM E MESSA IN SERVIZIO

Posizionare SISSEL®SILENCIUM come un normale cuscino sul

letto. (Vedi figura).

Active ON – L'attività dei cuscinetti gonfiabili è funzionante. I

rumori del russamento vengono rilevati e riconosciuti e i cusci-

netti gonfiabili muovono e spostano delicatamente la testa fino

a quanto non si interrompe il russare.

Una disattivazione dei cuscinetti e quindi della funzione anti rus-

samento (Active OFF) consente, usando il collegamento USB e

il relativo Software di registrare il vostro normale russare, così

come se usaste un cuscino tradizionale.

Non caricate il cuscino in modo eccessivo, non stringetelo con

forza, e non piegatelo.

Assicuratevi che i due microfoni (B) collocati nella parte anteriore

del cuscino siano liberi. Se si desidera è possibile usare una fe-

dera qualsiasi (questo non ha conseguenze per il buon funzio-

namento del microfono e quindi del cuscino).

Inserire il cavo di alimentazione (D) nella spina e nell’unità di

controllo (C). Posizionare entrambi gli interruttori Power, (F) e

Active (G) su ON. Entrambe le spie sul pannello di controllo si

accendono e sono di color verde. Posizionate il pannello di con-

trollo di fianco o, meglio, sotto il letto nel suo apposito astuccio.

Assicuratevi che il cavo tra l'unità di controllo e il cuscino non sia

allentato o piegato.

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

è stato sviluppato per

essere usato da una sola persona. La connessione USB (H) (cavo

non incluso) e il Software per PC (download gratuito all'indirizzo:

www.sisselsilencium.com) consentono di rilevare l’intensità del

russamento, la posizione della testa e i movimenti eseguiti da

SISSEL®SILENCIUM

con qualsiasi PC Windows. L'effetto di

SIS-

SEL®SILENCIUM

può essere rilevato sia con la funzione attivata

(G - Active ON / OFF) che non attivata così da poter fare i relativi

confronti.

TRASPORTO E STOCCAGGIO

Conservate SISSEL®SILENCIUM nella sua forma originale, in

un luogo asciutto (massimo 65% di umidità relativa dell'aria)

e con una temperatura ambiente idonea (da +5 a +45 °C).

Conservate con attenzione SISSEL®SILENCIUM (non piegate e

non mettete oggetti sopra di esso) per evitare di danneggiare

la forma o la tecnica del cuscino. Utilizzate l'imballaggio ori-

ginale per il trasporto.

PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE

Il cuscino non può essere lavato nemmeno a secco. Per pulire il

cuscino togliete la federa esterna, arieggiate il cuscino e se ne-

cessario strofinate la federa interna, resistente all'umidità, con

un panno leggermente umidificato per rimuovere la polvere o

le macchie dalla superficie La federa interna protegge il cuscino

dall’ accumulo di umidità. La copertura esterna del cuscino può

essere rimossa e pulita secondo le istruzioni dell’etichetta (che

si trova all'interno della federa). Lavate la federa al rovescio, chiu-

dendo la cerniera.

Il materiale di SISSEL®SILENCIUM è ignifugo. E’ però forte-

mente sconsigliato fumare a letto!

SISSEL®SILENCIUM utvecklades för att hjälpa snarkare och

dess partner till en problemfri och djup sömn. Läs uppmärks-

HUR VERKAR SISSEL®SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM registrerar kontinuerligt alla sovljud och huvu-

dets position på kudden. Kudden vänder huvudet mjukt och för-

siktigt åt sidan när snarkningen börjar.

Då ökar avståndet mellan tungan och svalget, befriar därmed luft-

vägarna och minskar snarkningen. Hjälper inte detta fortsätter kud-

den att vända huvudet antingen till höger eller vänster tills

snarkningen upphör eller den bästa positionen hittats.

Med hjälp av ett särskilt PC-Program (kontrollelementet kan ans-

lutas till en dator via USB minne) kan du lätt skriva och läsa av ditt

ANMÄRKNINGAR

Snarkning är allmänt beroende av induviduell hälsa och fysisk

kondition. Alkohol, matvanor, förkylning, stress, medicin och fy-

siska/psykiska problem kan påverka snarkningens intensitet och

längd. Dessutom har ditt personliga Body Mass Index (BMI) in-

flytande. Tänk på detta.

OBSERVERA

Om du efter att använt kudden visar tecken på trötthet och

sömnbrist, kan detta vara en hänvisning på omfattande störnin-

gar t.ex sömnapnè. Uppsök då en läkare.

SILENCIUM

SISSEL®SILENCIUM har flera funktioner. Den är å ena sidan en va-

riabel ortopedisk nackkudde (SISSEL® SILENCIUM Basic med lägre

stödfunkion för nacken) av hög kvalitativt PU-skum med visco-

elastiskt ytskikt (4) för höga anspråk och ett flexibelt varioin-

lägg (1). Inuti kudden finns luftkammare (2) som mjukt och

försiktigt vänder ditt huvud i önskad position när snarkningen bör-

jar. Sensorplattan (3) registrerar huvudets position. Ett varioin-

lägg (4) för att kunna variera höjden För att skydda mikrofonerna

(5) har kudden ett fuktighetsavvisande, permeabelt skyddsfodral.

INNAN DU BÖRJAR ANVÄNDA

De specifika produktegenskaper som SISSEL®SILENCIUM har

(t.ex vänder huvudet) och dess ortopediska form och nackstöds-

funkion behövs det en tid att vänja sig (mellan 7 och 14 dagar)

Om så önskas kan det variabla viskoinlägget tagas bort.

ELEKTROMAGNETISK KOMPATIBLITET ( EMV )

SISSEL®SILENCIUM arbetar med låg och säker spänning (nä-

taggregat 6 volt). Medicintekniska klass 1 (regel 12). Får även

användas på sjukhus och vid reha.Denna spänning kan jämfö-

ras med en klockradio och är mindre än i ett värmetäcke. Med

en DC- adapter kan SISSEL®SILENCIUM även användas på se-

mestern ( t.ex i husvagnen.).

HÄNVISNINGAR

Övertyga dig om att miljön är ren och dammfri med låg fuk-

tighet. Damm och fukta kan påverka hållbarheten på teknik

och funktion. Använd aldrig kudden i närheten av elektriska

täcken, värmeflaskor eller andra varma objekt – då deras höga

temperaturer skadar kuddens egenskapor.
