the risk of electric shock.

d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for

carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool.

Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or

moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase

the risk of electric shock.

e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an

extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a

cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric

shock.

f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is

unavoidable, use an earth leakage circuit breaker.

3) PERSONAL SAFETY

a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use

common sense when operating a power tool. Do

not use a power tool while you are tired or under

the inuence of drugs alcohol or medication A

moment of inattention while operating power tools may

result in serious personal injury.

b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear

eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust

mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing

protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce

personal injuries.

c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch

is in the oposition before connecting to power

source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying

the tool. Carrying power tools with your nger on the

switch or energising power tools that have the switch on

invites accidents.

d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning

the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to

a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal

injury.

e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance

at all times. This enables better control of the power

tool in unexpected situations.

f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or

jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away

from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair

can be caught in moving parts.

g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust

extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are

connected and properly used. Use of dust collection

can reduce dust-related hazards.

4) POWER TOOL USE AND CARE

a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power

tool for your application. The correct power tool will

do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was

designed.

b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not

turn it on and o Any power tool that cannot be

controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be

repaired.

c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or

the battery pack from the power tool before making

any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing

power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce

the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.

SAFETY

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all

instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions

may result in electric shock re andor serious injury Save

all warnings and instructions for future reference. The

term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-

operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless)

power tool.

1) WORK AREA SAFETY

a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark

areas invite accidents.

b) Do not operate power tools in explosive

atmospheres such as in the presence of ammable

liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks

which may ignite the dust or fumes.

c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating

a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose

control.

2) ELECTRICAL SAFETY

a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never

modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter

plugs with earthed grounded power tools

Unmodied plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk

of electric shock.

b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded

surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and

refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric

shock if your body is earthed or grounded.

c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet

or excess wear, wire brushes for loose or cracked

wires. If the power tool or accessory is dropped,

inspect for damage or install an undamaged

accessory. After inspecting and installing an

accessory, position yourself and bystanders away

from the plane of the rotating accessory and run

the power tool at maximum no load speed for one

minute. Damaged accessories will normally break apart

during this test time.

h) Wear personal protective equipment 45.

Depending on application, use face shield, safety

goggles or safety glasses. As appropriate, wear

dust mask, hearing protectors, gloves and shop

apron capable of stopping small abrasive or

workpiece fragments. The eye protection must be

capable of stopping ying debris generated by various

operations.The dust mask or respirator must be capable

of ltrating particles generated by your operation

Prolonged exposure to high intensity noise may cause

hearing loss.

i) Keep bystanders a safe distance away from work

area. Anyone entering the work area must wear

personal protective equipment. Fragments of the

workpiece or of a broken accessory may y away and

cause injury beyond the immediate area of operation.

j) Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces

only, when performing an operation where the

cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring or its

own cord. A cutting accessory contacting a "live" wire

may make exposed metal parts of the power tool "live"

and could give the operator an electric shock.

k) Position the cord clear of the spinning accessory.

If you lose control, the cord may be cut or snagged

and your hand or arm may be pulled into the spinning

accessory.

l) Never lay the power tool down until the accessory

has come to a complete stop. The spinning

accessory may grab the surface and pull the power tool

out of your control.

m) Do not run the power tool while carrying it at your

side. Accidental contact with the spinning accessory

could snag your clothing, pulling the accessory into your

body.

n) Regularly clean the power tool’s air vents. The

motor’s fan will draw the dust inside the housing and

excessive accumulation of powdered metal may cause

electrical hazards.

o) Do not operate the power tool near ammable

materials. Sparks could ignite these materials.

p) Do not use accessories that require liquid coolants.

Using water or other liquid coolants may result in

electrocution or shock.

2) KICKBACK AND RELATED WARNINGS

 Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched or snagged

rotating wheel, backing pad, brush or any other

accessory. Pinching or snagging causes rapid stalling

of the rotating accessory which in turn causes the

uncontrolled power tool to be forced in the direction

opposite of the accessory’s rotation at the point of the

binding.

 For example, if an abrasive wheel is snagged or pinched

by the workpiece, the edge of the wheel that is entering

into the pinch point can dig into the surface of the

material causing the wheel to climb out or kick out.The

d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children

and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power

tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.

Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained

users.

e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or

binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any

before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly

maintained power tools.

f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly

maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are

less likely to bind and are easier to control.

g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc.,

in accordance with these instructions, taking into

account the working conditions and the work to

be performed. Use of the power tool for operations

dierent from those intended could result in a hazardous

situation.

5) SERVICE

a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair

person using only identical replacement parts.

This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is

maintained.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR ANGLE GRINDERS

1) SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL OPERATIONS

a) This power tool is intended to function as a

grinder sander wire brush or cuto tool Read

all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and

specications provided with this power tool Failure

to follow all instructions listed below may result in

b) Operations such as polishing are not

recommended to be performed with this power

tool. Operations for which the power tool was not

designed may create a hazard and cause personal

injury.

c) Do not use accessories which are not specically

designed and recommended by the tool

manufacturer. Just because the accessory can be

attached to your power tool, it does not assure safe

operation.

d) The rated speed of the accessory must be at least

equal to the maximum speed marked on the power

tool. Accessories running faster than their rated speed

can y apart

e) The outside diameter and the thickness of your

accessory must be within the capacity rating of

your power tool. Incorrectly sized accessories cannot

be adequately guarded or controlled.

f) Threaded mounting of accessories must match the

grinder spindle thread. For accessories mounted

by anges the arbour hole of the accessory must

t the locating diameter of the ange Accessories

that do not match the mounting hardware of the power

tool will run out of balance, vibrate excessively and may

cause loss of control.

g) Do not use a damaged accessory. Before each use

inspect the accessory such as abrasive wheels for

chips and cracks, backing pads for cracks, tear

pressure. Do not attempt to make an excessive

depth of cut. Overstressing the wheel increases the

loading and susceptibility to twisting or binding of the

wheel in the cut and the possibility of kickback or wheel

breakage.

b) Do not position your body in line with and behind

the rotating wheel. When the wheel, at the point of

operation, is moving away from your body, the possible

kickback may propel the spinning wheel and the power

tool directly at you.

c) When the wheel is binding or when interrupting a

cut for any reason switch o the power tool and

hold the power tool motionless until the wheel

comes to a complete stop. Never attempt to remove

the cuto wheel from the cut while the wheel is in

motion, otherwise kickback may occur. Investigate

and take corrective action to eliminate the cause of

wheel binding.

d) Do not restart the cutting operation in the

workpiece. Let the wheel reach full speed and

carefully reenter the cut The wheel may bind,

walk up or kickback if the power tool is restarted in the

workpiece.

e) Support panels or any oversized workpiece to

minimize the risk of wheel pinching and kickback.

Large workpieces tend to sag under their own weight.

Supports must be placed under the workpiece near the

line of cut and near the edge of the workpiece on both

sides of the wheel.

f) Use extra caution when making a “pocket cut” into

existing walls or other blind areas. The protruding

wheel may cut gas or water pipes, electrical wiring or

objects that can cause kickback.

5) SAFETY WARNINGS SPECIFIC FOR SANDING

OPERATIONS

a) When sanding, do not use excessively oversized

sanding disc paper. Follow the manufacturers’

recommendations when selecting sanding paper.

Larger sanding paper extending beyond the sanding

pad presents a laceration hazard and may cause

snagging, tearing of the disc, or kickback.

6) SAFETY WARNINGS SPECIFIC FOR WIRE

BRUSHING OPERATIONS

a) Be aware that wire bristles are thrown by the brush

even during ordinary operation. Do not overstress

the wires by applying excessive load to the brush.

The wire bristles can easily penetrate light clothing and/

or skin.

b) If the use of a guard is recommended for wire

brushing, do not allow any interference of the

wire wheel or brush with the guard. Wire wheel or

brush may expand in diameter due to work load and

centrifugal forces.

GENERAL

 This tool is not suitable for wet grinding/cutting

 Only use the anges which are supplied with this tool

 This tool should not be used by people under the age

of 16 years

 Always disconnect plug from power source before

making any adjustment or changing any accessory

wheel may either jump toward or away from the operator,

depending on the direction of the wheel’s movement at

the point of pinching. Abrasive wheels may also break

under these conditions.

 Kickback is the result of power tool misuse and/or

incorrect operating procedures or conditions and can be

avoided by taking proper precautions as given below.

a) Maintain a rm grip on the power tool and position

your body and arm to allow you to resist kickback

forces. Always use auxiliary handle, if provided, for

maximum control over kickback or torque reaction

during startup The operator can control torque

reactions or kickback forces, if proper precautions are

taken.

b) Never place your hand near the rotating accessory.

The accessory may kickback over your hand.

c) Do not position your body in the area where power

tool will move if kickback occurs. Kickback will

propel the tool in the direction opposite to the wheel’s

movement at the point of snagging.

d) Use special care when working corners, sharp

edges etc. Avoid bouncing and snagging the

accessory. Corners, sharp edges or bouncing have a

tendency to snag the rotating accessory and cause loss

of control or kickback.

e) Do not attach a saw chain woodcarving blade

or toothed saw blade. Such blades create frequent

kickback and loss of control.

3) SAFETY WARNINGS SPECIFIC FOR GRINDING AND

ABRASIVE CUTTINGOFF OPERATIONS

a) Use only wheel types that are recommended for

your power tool and the specic guard designed

for the selected wheel. Wheels for which the power

tool was not designed cannot be adequately guarded

and are unsafe.

b) The grinding surface of the centre depressed

wheels must be mounted below the plane of the

guard lip. An improperly mounted wheel that projects

through the plane of the guard lip cannot be adequately

protected.

c) The guard must be securely attached to the power

tool and positioned for maximum safety, so the

least amount of wheel is exposed towards the

operator. The guard helps to protect the operator from

broken wheel fragments, accidental contact with wheel

and sparks that could ignite clothing.

d) Wheels must be used only for recommended

applications. For example: Do not grind with the side of

a cuto wheel Abrasive cuto wheels are intended for

peripheral grinding; side forces applied to these wheels

may cause them to shatter.

e) Always use undamaged wheel anges that are of

correct size and shape for your selected wheel.

Proper wheel anges support the wheel thus reducing

the possibility of wheel breakage Flanges for cuto

wheels may be dierent from grinding wheel anges

f) Do not use worn down wheels from larger power

tools. A wheel intended for a larger power tool is not

suitable for the higher speed of a smaller tool and may

burst.

4) ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNINGS SPECIFIC FOR

CUTTING OFF OPERATIONS

a) Do not jam the cuto wheel or apply excessive

in the cord of this tool to the earth terminal of the plug

USE

speed in a safe position

other defects and check tool to determine the cause

ACCESSORIES

 SKIL can assure awless functioning of the tool only

when original accessories are used

 Use only grinding/cutting discs with a maximum

thickness of 8 mm and a spindle hole diameter of

22 mm

 For mounting/using non-SKIL accessories observe the

instructions of the manufacturer concerned

 Never use reducors or adaptors to t largehole

grinding/cutting discs

 Never use accessories with a "blind" threaded hole

smaller than M14 x 21 mm

OUTDOOR USE

 Connect the tool via a fault current (FI) circuit breaker

with a triggering current of 30 mA maximum

BEFORE USE

 Before using the tool for the rst time it is recommended

to receive practical information

 Always check that the supply voltage is the same as the

voltage indicated on the nameplate of the tool

 Always mount auxiliary handle E 2and protective

guard F 2; never use the tool without them

extraction device when connectable

 Certain kinds of dust are classied as carcinogenic

(such as oak and beech dust) especially in conjunction

with additives for wood conditioning; wear a dust

mask and work with a dust extraction device when

connectable

 Follow the dust-related national requirements for the

materials you want to work with

 Be careful when cutting grooves especially in

supporting walls (slots in supporting walls are subject to

countryspecic regulations these regulations are to be

observed under all circumstances)

 Secure the workpiece (a workpiece clamped with

clamping devices or in a vice is held more securely than

by hand)

 Do not clamp the tool in a vice

 Use completely unrolled and safe extension cords with a

capacity of 16 Amps (U.K. 13 Amps)

DURING USE

 If the cord is damaged or cut through while working, do

not touch the cord, but immediately disconnect the plug

 Never use the tool when cord is damaged; have it

replaced by a qualied person

 In case of electrical or mechanical malfunction,

immediately switch o the tool and disconnect the plug

 In case of current interruption or when the plug is

accidentally pulled out immediately switch o the tool in

order to prevent uncontrolled restarting

AFTER USE

 After switching o the tool never stop the rotation of the

accessory by a lateral force applied against it

1) SECURITE DE LA ZONE DE TRAVAIL

a) Maintenez l’endroit de travail propre et bien éclairé.

Un lieu de travail en désordre ou mal éclairé augmente

le risque d’accidents.

b) N’utilisez pas l’appareil dans un environnement

présentant des risques d’explosion et où se

trouvent des liquides, des gaz ou poussières

2) SECURITE RELATIVE AU SYSTEME ELECTRIQUE

a) La che de secteur de loutil électroportatif doit

être appropriée à la prise de courant Ne modiez

en aucun cas la che Nutilisez pas de ches

d’adaptateur avec des appareils avec mise à la

terre. Les ches non modiées et les prises de courant

appropriées réduisent le risque de choc électrique.

b) Evitez le contact physique avec des surfaces mises

à la terre telles que tuyaux, radiateurs, fours et

réfrigérateurs. Il y a un risque élevé de choc électrique

au cas où votre corps serait relié à la terre.

c) N’exposez pas l’outil électroportatif à la pluie

ou à l’humidité. La pénétration d’eau dans un outil

électroportatif augmente le risque d’un choc électrique.

d) Nutilisez pas le câble à dautres ns que celles

prévues, n’utilisez pas le câble pour porter

l’appareil ou pour l’accrocher ou encore pour le

des ssures une certaine usure ou des signes de

forte usure, les brosses métalliques pour détecter

même en dehors de la zone directe de travail.

j) Ne tenir l’outil électroportatif qu’aux poignées

isolées, lors de la réalisation d’une opération au

cours de laquelle l’accessoire de coupe peut entrer

en contact avec un câblage non apparent ou son

propre câble d’alimentation. Le contact avec un l

sous tension peut également mettre sous tension les

parties métalliques de l’outil électrique et provoquer un

choc électrique sur l’opérateur.

k) Garder le câble de secteur à distance des

accessoires en rotation. Si vous perdez le contrôle de

l’outil, le câble de secteur peut être sectionné ou happé

UTILISATIONS

meuleuse, ponceuse au papier de verre, brosse

métallique, et en tant qu’outil de tronçonnage.

Respecter tous les avertissements, instructions,

représentations et données qui sont fournis avec

l’outil électroportatif. Un non-respect des instructions

suivantes peut entraîner un choc électrique et / ou de

graves blessures.

b) Les opérations de polissage ne sont pas

recommandées avec cet outil électrique. Les

opérations pour lesquelles cet outil électrique n'a pas

été conçu peuvent constituer un risque et provoquer des

blessures.

c) Ne pas utiliser des accessoires qui ne sont pas

spécialement prévus et recommandés par le

fabricant pour cet outil électroportatif. Le fait

de pouvoir monter les accessoires sur votre outil

électroportatif ne garantit pas une utilisation en toute

sécurité.

d) La vitesse de rotation admissible de l’accessoire

doit être au moins égale à la vitesse de rotation

a) Pour votre outil électroportatif, n’utiliser que

des meules autorisées et le capot de protection

conçu pour cette meule. Les meules qui n’ont pas

été conçues pour cet outil électroportatif, ne peuvent

pas être susamment protégées et présentent alors un

danger.

b) La surface de meulage des meules à moyeu

déporté doit être montée sous le plan de la lèvre du

protecteur. Une meule montée de manière incorrecte

qui dépasse du plan de la lèvre du protecteur ne peut

pas être protégée de manière appropriée.

c) Le capot de protection doit être bien monté sur

l’outil électroportatif et être réglé de façon à obtenir

une sécurité maximale càd que la meule ne doit

pas être dirigée sans protection vers la personne

travaillant avec l’outil. Le capot de protection doit

protéger l'opérateur des fragments de meule cassés,

d'un contact accidentel avec la meule et d'étincelles qui

d) Les meules ne doivent être utilisées que pour les

utilisations recommandées. Par ex.: Ne jamais poncer

avec la surface latérale d’un disque à tronçonner. Les

disques à tronçonner sont faits pour enlever de la

matière avec le bord du disque. Les forces latérales

agissant sur de telles meules peuvent en provoquer la

destruction.

e) Utiliser toujours des brides de serrage en parfait

état qui ont la bonne taille et la forme appropriée à

la meule choisie. Les brides appropriées soutiennent

la meule et réduisent alors le danger de voir la meule

se casser. Les brides pour les disques à tronçonner

peuvent diérer de celles pour les autres disques à

meuler.

f) Ne pas utiliser les meules usées d’outils

électroportatifs plus grands. Les meules pour les

outils électroportatifs plus grands ne sont pas conçues

pour les vitesses de rotation élevées des outils

électroportatifs plus petits et risquent de casser.

4) AUTRES AVERTISSEMENTS PARTICULIERS POUR

LE TRONÇONNAGE

a) Eviter de coincer le disque à tronçonner ou

d’appliquer une pression trop élevée. Ne pas

réaliser des coupes trop profondes. Une surcharge

du disque à tronçonner en augmente la sollicitation,

donc le risque de se coincer ou de se bloquer, ce qui

entraînerait un contrecoup ou la destruction de la meule.

b) Eviter la zone se trouvant devant et derrière le

disque à tronçonner en rotation. Si vous éloignez

de vous le disque à tronçonner qui se trouve dans la

pièce à travailler, l’outil électroportatif peut être projeté

directement vers vous dans le cas d’un contrecoup.

c) Si le disque à tronçonner se coince ou lors d’une

interruption de travail, mettre l’outil électroportatif

l) Déposer l’outil électroportatif seulement après

l’arrêt total de l’accessoire. L’accessoire en rotation

peut toucher la surface sur laquelle l’outil est posé,

ce qui risque de vous faire perdre le contrôle de l’outil

électroportatif.

m) Ne pas laisser tourner l’outil électroportatif

pendant que vous le portez. Suite à un contact

involontaire, vos vêtements peuvent être happés par

l’accessoire en rotation, et l’accessoire peut rentrer

dans votre corps.

n) Nettoyer régulièrement les ouïes de ventilation de

votre outil électroportatif. La ventilation du moteur

aspire de la poussière dans le carter, et de la poussière

de métal en trop grande quantité peut causer des

dangers électriques.

o) Ne pas utiliser l’outil électroportatif lorsqu’il y

a des matériaux inammables à proximité Les

étincelles risquent denammer ces matériaux

p) Ne pas utiliser des accessoires qui nécessitent

des liquides de refroidissement. L’utilisation d’eau ou

d’autres liquides de refroidissement peut entraîner un

choc électrique.

2) CONTRECOUP ET AVERTISSEMENTS

CORRESPONDANTS

 Un contrecoup est une réaction soudaine causée par un

accessoire en rotation qui s’accroche ou qui se bloque,

tels que meule, plateau de ponçage, brosse métallique,

etc. Un coinçage ou un blocage entraîne un arrêt

soudain de l’accessoire en rotation. Il en résulte que

l’outil électroportatif incontrôlé est accéléré à l’endroit du

blocage dans le sens inverse de l’accessoire.

 Par ex., si une meule s’accroche ou si elle se bloque

dans la pièce, le bord de la meule qui entre dans la

pièce peut se coincer et faire que la meule se déplace

ou causer un contrecoup. En fonction du sens de

rotation de la meule à l’endroit de blocage, la meule

s’approche ou s’éloigne alors de l’utilisateur. Les meules

peuvent également casser.

 Un contrecoup est la suite d'une mauvaise utilisation

ou une utilisation incorrecte de l’outil électroportatif. Il

peut être évité en prenant des mesures de précaution

comme celles décrites ci-dessous.

a) Bien tenir l’outil électroportatif et se mettre

dans une position permettant de faire face à des

forces de contrecoup. Utiliser toujours la poignée

supplémentaire, s’il y en a une, pour contrôler

au maximum les forces de contrecoup ou les

couples de réaction lors de l’accélération à pleine

vitesse. Par des mesures de précaution appropriées,

la personne travaillant avec l’outil peut contrôler le

contrecoup et les forces du contrecoup.

b) Ne pas mettre votre main à proximité des

accessoires en rotation. Lors d’un contrecoup,

l’accessoire risque de passer sur votre main.

c) Eviter de vous placer dans la zone dans laquelle

l’outil électroportatif ira lors d’un contrecoup.

Le contrecoup entraîne l’outil électroportatif dans le

sens opposé au mouvement de la meule à l’endroit de

blocage.

d) Etre extrêmement vigilant lors du travail de coins,

d’arêtes coupantes etc. Eviter que les accessoires

ne rebondissent contre pièce à travailler et ne

se coincent. L’accessoire en rotation a tendance

contenant du plomb, certaines espèces de bois,

certains minéraux et diérents métaux peut être

nocive (le contact avec la poussière ou son inhalation

peut provoquer des réactions allergiques et/ou

des maladies respiratoires chez l'opérateur ou des

personnes se trouvant à proximité); portez un masque

antipoussières et travaillez avec un appareil

de dépoussiérage lorsqu’il est possible d’en

connecter un

d) Ne pas remettre l’outil électroportatif en marche

tant qu’il se trouve dans la pièce à travailler.

Attendre que le disque à tronçonner ait atteint sa

vitesse de rotation maximale avant de continuer

prudemment la coupe. Sinon, le disque risque de se

coincer, sauter de la pièce ou causer un contrecoup.

e) Soutenir des grands panneaux ou de grandes

pièces à travailler an de réduire le risque dun

contrecoup causé par un disque à tronçonner

coincé. Les grandes pièces risquent de s’arquer sous

leur propre poids. La pièce doit être soutenue des deux

côtés par des supports, près du tracé ainsi qu’aux bords

de la pièce.

f) Faire preuve d’une prudence particulière

lorsquune coupe en plongée est eectuée dans

des murs ou dans dautres endroits diciles à

reconnaître. Le disque à tronçonner qui pénètre dans

le mur peut heurter des conduites de gaz ou d’eau, des

conduites électriques ou des objets pouvant causer un

contrecoup.

5) AVERTISSEMENTS PARTICULIERS POUR LE

PONÇAGE AU PAPIER DE VERRE

a) Ne pas utiliser des feuilles abrasives de

dimensions trop grandes, mais respectez les

indications du fabricant concernant la taille de la

feuille abrasive. Les feuilles abrasives qui dépassent le

plateau de ponçage peuvent entraîner des blessures et

causer le blocage ou la déchirure des feuilles abrasives

ou un contrecoup.

TRAVAUX AVEC BROSSES MÉTALLIQUES

a) Tenir compte du fait que la brosse métallique

perd des ls métalliques même pendant le travail

 Dieses Werkzeug ist für das Schleifen, Trennen und

Entgraten von Metall und Steinwerkstoen ohne

Zuhilfenahme von Wasser bestimmt; mit geeignetem

richtig verwendet werden. Verwendung einer

Staubabsaugung verringert Gefährdungen durch Staub

4) SORGFÄLTIGER UMGANG UND GEBRAUCH VON

ELEKTROWERKZEUGEN

a) Überlasten Sie das Gerät nicht. Verwenden Sie für

Ihre Arbeit das dafür bestimmte Elektrowerkzeug.

Mit dem passenden Elektrowerkzeug arbeiten Sie

besser und sicherer im angegebenen Leistungsbereich.

b) Benutzen Sie kein Elektrowerkzeug, dessen

Schalter defekt ist. Ein Elektrowerkzeug, das sich

nicht mehr ein oder ausschalten lässt ist gefährlich und

muss repariert werden.

c) Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose

und/oder entfernen Sie den Akku, bevor Sie

Geräteeinstellungen vornehmen, Zubehörteile

wechseln oder das Gerät weglegen. Diese

Vorsichtsmaßnahme verhindert den unbeabsichtigten

Start des Geräts

d) Bewahren Sie unbenutzte Elektrowerkzeuge

5) SERVICE

a) Lassen Sie Ihr Gerät nur von qualiziertem

1) SICHERHEITSHINWEISE FÜR ALLE

ANWENDUNGEN

a) Dieses Elektrowerkzeug ist zu verwenden als

Schleifer, Sandpapierschleifer, Drahtbürste,

und Trennschleifmaschine. Beachten Sie alle

Warnhinweise, Anweisungen, Darstellungen und

Daten, die Sie mit dem Werkzeug erhalten. Wenn

Sie die folgenden Anweisungen nicht beachten, kann

es zu elektrischem Schlag, Feuer und/oder schweren

Verletzungen kommen.

c) Halten Sie das Gerät von Regen oder Nässe fern.

Das Eindringen von Wasser in ein Elektrogerät erhht

das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

d) Zweckentfremden Sie das Kabel nicht, um das

Gerät zu tragen, aufzuhängen oder um den Stecker

aus der Steckdose zu ziehen. Halten Sie das

Kabel fern von Hitze, Öl, scharfen Kanten oder

sich bewegenden Geräteteilen. Beschädigte oder

verwickelte Kabel erhöhen das Risiko eines elektrischen

Schlages.

e) Wenn Sie mit einem Elektrowerkzeug im Freien

arbeiten, verwenden Sie nur Verlängerungskabel,

die auch für den Außenbereich zugelassen sind.

Die Anwendung eines für den Außenbereich geeigneten

Verlängerungskabels verringert das Risiko eines

elektrischen Schlages.

f) Wenn der Betrieb des Elektrowerkzeuges

in feuchter Umgebung nicht vermeidbar ist,

verwenden Sie einen Fehlerstromschutzschalter.

vermindert das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

3) SICHERHEIT VON PERSONEN

a) Seien Sie aufmerksam, achten Sie darauf, was Sie

tun, und gehen Sie mit Vernunft an die Arbeit mit

einem Elektrowerkzeug. Benutzen Sie das Gerät

nicht wenn Sie mde sind oder unter dem Einuss

von Drogen, Alkohol oder Medikamenten stehen.

Ein Moment der Unachtsamkeit beim Gebrauch des

Gerätes kann zu ernsthaften Verletzungen fhren

b) Tragen Sie persönliche Schutzausrüstung und

immer eine Schutzbrille. Das Tragen persönlicher

Elektrowerkzeug ausgeschaltet ist, bevor Sie

es an die Stromversorgung und/oder den Akku

Schalter haben oder das Gerät eingeschaltet an die

f) Tragen Sie geeignete Kleidung. Tragen Sie

keine weite Kleidung oder Schmuck. Halten Sie

Haare, Kleidung und Handschuhe fern von sich

bewegenden Teilen. Lockere Kleidung, Schmuck

oder lange Haare können von sich bewegenden Teilen

erfasst werden.

g) Wenn Staubabsaug und auangeinrichtungen

montiert werden können, vergewissern Sie

sich, dass diese angeschlossen sind und

die bei verschiedenen Anwendungen entstehen.

Staub- oder Atemschutzmaske müssen den bei der

Anwendung entstehenden Staub ltern Wenn Sie

lange lautem Lärm ausgesetzt sind knnen Sie einen

Hörverlust erleiden.

i) Achten Sie bei anderen Personen auf sicheren

Abstand zu Ihrem Arbeitsbereich. Jeder, der

den Arbeitsbereich betritt, muss persönliche

Schutzausrüstung tragen. Bruchstcke des

Werkstücks oder gebrochenes Zubehör können

wegiegen und Verletzungen auch auerhalb des

direkten Arbeitsbereichs verursachen.

j) Fassen Sie das Elektrowerkzeug nur an den

isolierten Griächen wenn Sie Arbeiten

ausführen, bei denen das Einsatzwerkzeug

verborgene Stromleitungen oder das eigene

Netzkabel treen kann Der Kontakt mit einer

spannungsführenden Leitung kann auch Metallteile

des Elektrowerkzeuges unter Spannung setzen und zu

einem elektrischen Schlag führen.

k) Halten Sie das Netzkabel von sich drehenden

Zubehör fern. Wenn Sie die Kontrolle über das

Werkzeug verlieren, kann das Netzkabel durchtrennt

oder erfasst werden und Ihre Hand oder Ihr Arm in das

sich drehende Zubehör geraten.

l) Legen Sie das Elektrowerkzeug niemals ab, bevor

das Zubehör völlig zum Stillstand gekommen ist.

Das sich drehende Zubehör kann in Kontakt mit der

Ablageäche geraten wodurch Sie die Kontrolle ber

das Elektrowerkzeug verlieren können.

m) Lassen Sie das Elektrowerkzeug nicht laufen,

während Sie es tragen. Ihre Kleidung kann durch

zufälligen Kontakt mit dem sich drehenden Zubehr

erfasst werden, und das Zubehör sich in Ihren Körper

bohren.

n) Reinigen Sie regelmäßig die Lüftungsschlitze Ihres

Elektrowerkzeugs. Das Motorgebläse zieht Staub

in das Gehäuse und eine starke Ansammlung von

Metallstaub kann elektrische Gefahren verursachen.

o) Verwenden Sie das Elektrowerkzeug nicht in der

Nähe brennbarer Materialien. Funken können diese

Materialien entzünden.

p) Verwenden Sie kein Zubehr das ssige

Kühlmittel erfordern. Die Verwendung von Wasser

oder anderen ssigen Khlmitteln kann zu einem

elektrischen Schlag führen.

2) RÜCKSCHLAG UND ENTSPRECHENDE

WARNHINWEISE

 Rückschlag ist die plötzliche Reaktion infolge eines

hakenden oder blockierten drehenden Zubehörs, wie

Schleifscheibe, Schleifteller, Drahtbürste usw.Verhaken

oder Blockieren fhrt zu einem abrupten Stopp des

rotierenden Zubehörs. Dadurch wird ein unkontrolliertes

Elektrowerkzeug gegen die Drehrichtung des Zubehörs

an der Blockierstelle beschleunigt

 Wenn z B eine Schleifscheibe im Werkstck hakt oder

blockiert, kann sich die Kante der Schleifscheibe, die

in das Werkstück eintaucht, verfangen und dadurch

die Schleifscheibe ausbrechen oder einen Rückschlag

verursachen. Die Schleifscheibe bewegt sich dann

auf die Bedienperson zu oder von ihr weg je nach

Drehrichtung der Scheibe an der Blockierstelle Hierbei

können Schleifscheiben auch brechen.

b) Dieses Elektrowerkzeug ist nicht geeignet zum

Polieren. Verwendungen, für die das Elektrowerkzeug

nicht vorgesehen ist knnen Gefährdungen und

Verletzungen verursachen.

c) Verwenden Sie kein Zubehör, das vom Hersteller

nicht speziell für dieses Elektrowerkzeug

vorgesehen und empfohlen wurde. Nur weil Sie das

Zubehör an Ihrem Elektrowerkzeug befestigen können,

garantiert das keine sichere Verwendung.

d) Die zulässige Drehzahl des Zubehörs muss

mindestens so hoch sein wie die auf dem

Elektrowerkzeug angegebene Höchstdrehzahl.

Zubehr das sich schneller als zulässig dreht kann

zerstört werden.

e) Außendurchmesser und Dicke des Zubehörs

müssen den Maßangaben Ihres Elektrowerkzeugs

entsprechen. Falsch bemessenes Zubehör kann nicht

ausreichend abgeschirmt oder kontrolliert werden.

f) Einsatzwerkzeuge mit Gewindeeinsatz müssen

genau auf das Gewinde der Schleifspindel passen.

Bei Einsatzwerkzeugen, die mittels Flansch

montiert werden, muss der Lochdurchmesser des

Einsatzwerkzeuges zum Aufnahmedurchmesser

des Flansches passen. Einsatzwerkzeuge, die nicht

genau am Elektrowerkzeug befestigt werden, drehen

sich ungleichmäig vibrieren sehr stark und knnen

zum Verlust der Kontrolle führen.

g) Verwenden Sie kein beschädigtes Zubehör.

Kontrollieren Sie vor jeder Verwendung Zubehör

wie Schleifscheiben auf Absplitterungen und

Risse, Schleifteller auf Risse, Verschleiß oder

starke Abnutzung, Drahtbürsten auf lose oder

gebrochene Drähte. Wenn das Elektrowerkzeug

oder das Zubehör herunterfällt, überprüfen Sie,

ob es beschädigt ist, oder verwenden Sie ein

unbeschädigtes Zubehör. Wenn Sie das Zubehör

kontrolliert und eingesetzt haben, halten Sie und in

der Nähe bendliche Personen sich auerhalb der

Ebene des rotierenden Zubehörs und lassen Sie

das Werkzeug eine Minute lang mit Höchstdrehzahl

laufen. Beschädigtes Zubehr brecht meist in dieser

Testzeit.

h) Tragen Sie persönliche Schutzausrüstung

45. Verwenden Sie je nach Anwendung

Vollgesichtsschutz, Augenschutz oder

Schutzbrille. Soweit angemessen, tragen Sie

Staubmaske, Gehörschutz, Schutzhandschuhe

oder Spezialschrze die kleine Schleif und

Materialpartikel von Ihnen fernhält. Die Augen

sollen vor herumiegenden Fremdkrpern

geschützt werden, die bei verschiedenen

Anwendungen entstehen Staub oder

Atemschutzmaske müssen den bei der Anwendung

entstehenden Staub ltern Wenn Sie lange

lautem Lärm ausgesetzt sind, können Sie einen

Hörverlust erleiden. Verwenden Sie je nach

Anwendung Vollgesichtsschutz, Augenschutz

oder Schutzbrille. Soweit angemessen, tragen Sie

Staubmaske, Gehörschutz, Schutzhandschuhe

oder Spezialschrze die kleine Schleif und

Materialpartikel von Ihnen fernhält. Die Augen sollen

vor herumiegenden Fremdkrpern geschtzt werden

e) Verwenden Sie immer unbeschädigte

Spannansche in der richtigen Gre und Form fr

die von Ihnen gewählte Schleifscheibe. Geeignete

Flansche stützen die Schleifscheibe und verringern

so die Gefahr eines Schleifscheibenbruchs. Flansche

für Trennscheiben können sich von den Flanschen für

andere Schleifscheiben unterscheiden.

f) Verwenden Sie keine abgenutzten Schleifscheiben

von größeren Elektrowerkzeugen. Schleifscheiben

für größere Elektrowerkzeuge sind nicht für die höheren

Drehzahlen von kleineren Elektrowerkzeugen ausgelegt

und können brechen.

4) WEITERE BESONDERE WARNHINWEISE ZUM

TRENNSCHLEIFEN

a) Vermeiden Sie ein Blockieren der Trennscheibe

oder zu hohen Anpressdruck. Führen Sie keine

übermäßig tiefen Schnitte aus. Eine Überlastung

der Trennscheibe erhht deren Beanspruchung

und die Anfälligkeit zum Verkanten oder Blockieren

und damit die Möglichkeit eines Rückschlags oder

Schleifkörperbruchs.

b) Meiden Sie den Bereich vor und hinter der

rotierenden Trennscheibe. Wenn Sie die Trennscheibe

im Werkstück von sich wegbewegen, kann im Falle

eines Rückschlags das Elektrowerkzeug mit der sich

drehenden Scheibe direkt auf Sie zugeschleudert

werden.

c) Falls die Trennscheibe verklemmt oder Sie

die Arbeit unterbrechen, schalten Sie das

Elektrowerkzeug aus und halten Sie es ruhig,

bis die Scheibe zum Stillstand gekommen ist.

Versuchen Sie nie, die noch laufende Trennscheibe

aus dem Schnitt zu ziehen, sonst kann ein

Rückschlag erfolgen. Ermitteln und beheben Sie die

Ursache für das Verklemmen.

d) Schalten Sie das Elektrowerkzeug nicht wieder

ein solange es sich im Werkstck bendet Lassen

Sie die Trennscheibe erst ihre volle Drehzahl

erreichen, bevor Sie den Schnitt vorsichtig

fortsetzen. Anderenfalls kann die Scheibe verhaken,

aus dem Werkstück springen oder einen Rückschlag

verursachen.

e) Stützen Sie Platten oder große Werkstücke ab,

um das Risiko eines Rückschlags durch eine

eingeklemmte Trennscheibe zu vermindern. Große

Werkstücke können sich unter ihrem eigenen Gewicht

durchbiegen. Das Werkstück muss auf beiden Seiten

abgesttzt werden und zwar sowohl in der Nähe des

Trennschnitts als auch an der Kante.

f) Seien Sie besonders vorsichtig bei

“Taschenschnitten” in bestehende Wände oder

andere nicht einsehbare Bereiche. Die eintauchende

Trennscheibe kann beim Schneiden in Gas- oder

Wasserleitungen, elektrische Leitungen oder andere

Objekte einen Rückschlag verursachen.

5) BESONDERE WARNHINWEISE ZUM

SANDPAPIERSCHLEIFEN

a) Benutzen Sie keine überdimensionierten

Schleifblätter, sondern befolgen Sie die

Herstellerangaben zur Schleifblattgröße.

Schleifblätter die ber den Schleifteller hinausragen

können Verletzungen verursachen sowie zum

 Ein Rückschlag ist die Folge eines falschen oder

fehlerhaften Gebrauchs des Elektrowerkzeugs. Er kann

durch geeignete Vorsichtsmaßnahmen, wie nachfolgend

beschrieben, verhindert werden.

a) Halten Sie das Elektrowerkzeug gut fest und

bringen Sie Ihren Körper und Ihre Arme in eine

Position, in der Sie die Rückschlagkräfte abfangen

knnen Verwenden Sie immer den Zusatzgri falls

vorhanden, um die größtmögliche Kontrolle über

Rückschlagkräfte oder Reaktionsmomente beim

Hochlauf zu haben. Die Bedienperson kann durch

geeignete Vorsichtsmaßnahmen die Rückschlag- und

Reaktionskräfte beherrschen

b) Bringen Sie Ihre Hand nie in die Nähe sich

drehendes Zubehör. Das Zubehör kann sich beim

Rückschlag über Ihre Hand bewegen.

c) Meiden Sie mit Ihrem Körper den Bereich, in den

das Elektrowerkzeug bei einem Rückschlag bewegt

wird. Der Rückschlag treibt das Elektrowerkzeug

in die Richtung entgegengesetzt zur Bewegung der

Schleifscheibe an der Blockierstelle

d) Arbeiten Sie besonders vorsichtig im Bereich

von Ecken, scharfen Kanten usw.Verhindern Sie,

dass Zubehör vom Werkstück zurückprallt und

verklemmt. Das rotierende Zubehör neigt bei Ecken,

scharfen Kanten oder wenn es abprallt, dazu, sich zu

verklemmen. Dies verursacht einen Kontrollverlust oder

Rückschlag.

3) SPEZIELLE WARNHINWEISE ZUM SCHLEIFEN UND

TRENNSCHLEIFEN

a) Verwenden Sie ausschließlich die für Ihr

Elektrowerkzeug zugelassenen Schleifkörper

und die für diese Schleifkörper vorgesehene

Schutzhaube. Schleifkörper, die nicht für das

Elektrowerkzeug vorgesehen sind, können nicht

ausreichend abgeschirmt werden und sind unsicher.

b) Gekröpfte Schleifscheiben müssen so montiert

werden dass ihre Schleiäche nicht ber der

Ebene des Schutzhaubenrandes hervorsteht. Eine

unsachgemä montierte Schleifscheibe die ber die

Ebene des Schutzhaubenrandes hinausragt, kann nicht

ausreichend abgeschirmt werden.

c) Die Schutzhaube muss sicher am Elektrowerkzeug

angebracht und so eingestellt sein, dass ein

Höchstmaß an Sicherheit erreicht wird, d. h. der

kleinstmögliche Teil des Schleifkörpers zeigt

oen zur Bedienperson Die Schutzhaube soll die

Bedienperson vor Bruchstcken zufälligem Kontakt

mit dem Schleifkörper und Funken, die die Kleidung in

d) Schleifkörper dürfen nur für die empfohlenen

Trennscheibe.Trennscheiben sind zum Materialabtrag

mit der Kante der Scheibe bestimmt. Seitliche

6) BESONDERE WARNHINWEISE ZUM ARBEITEN MIT

DRAHTBÜRSTEN

dass sich Schutzhaube und Drahtbürste berühren

können. Teller- und Topfbürsten können durch

Anpressdruck und Zentrifugalkräfte ihren Durchmesser

vergrößern.
