Cleaning Recommendation
Follow the procedures below to clean the 40 Inch
Carbon Fiber Table Extension between cases.
1. Place the table top in a level position.
WARNING
Always follow the standards for
blood-borne pathogens from the
Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA). Use the
recommended protective clothing,
gloves, masks and eye protection
to clean the table extension.
2. Use disposable cleaning materials to
remove major components. Follow the
appropriate procedures to dispose of
biohazard waste.
3. Remove pad sets from the table extension.
Clean and disinfect the pad sets between
cases.
4. Examinepadsforwearordamage.Verifythat
the seal on the pad is not compromised.
CAUTION
Read and follow the directions from the
manufacturer for all cleaning uids. Do
NOT use cleaners containing phenolics.
5. For soils and stains:
• Wash the Carbon Fiber Table Extension
with a large amount of neutral soap suds and
lukewarm water. Rinse with water. Dry the
table extension. Do NOT immerse the table
extension in water.
OR
• Wash the Carbon Fiber Table Extension
with a diluted bleach solution. The bleach
must be 10 parts water to 1 part bleach. Wipe
the accessory dry with a clean cloth. Do NOT
immerse the table extension in water. Bleach
MUST be diluted to the 10:1 ratio.
Always follow the current Association of
periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Journal
Guidelines to make sure the proper clearning and
disinfection procedure is followed.
6. To disinfect:
• Use Lysol I.C. Disinfectant Spray by National
Laboratories, Montvale, NJ per manufacturer's
instructions. Reference: National Laboratories

OR
• Wash the Carbon Fiber Table Extension
with a diluted bleach solution. The bleach
must be 10 parts water to 1 part bleach. Wipe
the accessory dry with a clean cloth. Do NOT
immerse the table extension in water. Bleach
MUST be diluted to the 10:1 ratio.
CAUTION
Make sure the pad and the table
extension are both dry before the pad
is placed on the table extension again.
Moisture trapped between the pad and
the table extension can cause distortion
of the top section.
7. Replace the pads on the table
extension.
8. When pads need to be disposed of, treat
them as hazardous waste. Dispose of the pads
properly.
