and 2 Uplink Slot Standalone Managed Switch
SMC6709L2 is an intelligent standalone Fast Ethernet Switch with
8 auto-MDIX 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX ports and 1 10/100/1000BASE-T
port. There are also 2 slots for optional uplink expansion. One of
the slots supports 100BASE-FX SMF/MMF via a SC/ST/MTRJ port, the
second slot supports 1000BASE-T/SX/LX.
With an aggregated bandwidth of up to 3.8Gbps, it has a nonblocking
switching architecture that facilitates packet forwarding at wire-
speed. As today’s network has diverse needs such as multimedia
applications, QoS is also delivered on this TigerSwitch thru IEEE802.1Q
VLAN’s, GVRP and priority queuing that ensures the smooth delivery
of mission critical data and security of different multicast groups.
The SMC6709L2 is perfect for the small or medium sized business
and education market segment looking to strengthen their networks
with an intelligent 8-port switch with a fixed gigabit port and fiber
modules.
