BVP/HDCシリーズのカメラシステムでは、オペレーショ
ンマニュアルの他に、メンテナンスマニュアルとシステム
マニュアルが用意されています。
オペレーションマニュアルでは、機器の概要、各部の名称
と働き、および仕様など、その機器固有の機能や特性につ
いて説明します。
メンテナンスマニュアルとシステムマニュアルには、シス
テムの構築のしかた、設置、接続、システムとして使用す
るために必要な準備、システムとしての操作など、システ
ム全体に関する説明が記載されています。
オペレーションマニュアルは各機器に付属し、システムを
構築するためのメンテナンスマニュアルとシステムマニュ
アルは、別売りになっています。

万一、水や異物が入ったときは、すぐに電源を切り、電源コードや接続
コードを抜いて、ソニーのサービス担当者または営業担当者にご相談く
ださい。
指定の電源コードを使用する
指定以外の電源コードを使用すると、火災や感電の原因となります。
他の電源コードを使用する場合は、ソニーのサービス担当者または営業
担当者にご相談ください。
電源コードを傷つけない
電源コードを傷つけると、火災や感電の原因となります。
•電源コードを加工したり、傷つけたりしない。
•重いものをのせたり、引っ張ったりしない。
•熱器具に近づけたり、加熱したりしない。
•電源コードを抜くときは、必ずプラグを持って抜く。
•ラックマウントするとき、レールにはさみ込まない。
万一、電源コードが傷んだら、ソニーのサービス担当者に交換をご依頼
ください。
油煙、湯気、湿気、ほこりの多い場所では設置•使用しない
上記のような場所で設置・使用すると、火災や感電の原因となります。
表示された電源電圧で使用する
機器に表示されたものと異なる電源電圧で使用すると、火災や感電の原
因となります。
指定のヒューズを使用する
指定以外のヒューズを使用すると、火災や感電の原因となります。
下記の注意を守らないと、
火災や感電により死亡や大けがにつながることが
あります。

安定した場所に設置する
ぐらついた台の上や傾いたところなどに設置すると、製品が落下してけ
がの原因となることがあります。
2台以上積み上げない
ラックを使用せずに2台以上積み上げると、機器が落下してけがの原因
となることがあります。
指定されたラックマウントレールを使用する
指定以外のラックマウントレールを使用すると、レールの強度不足によ
り、機器が落下してけがの原因となることがあります。
安定した姿勢でラックマウントする
本機をラックマウントするとき、および取り外すとき、バランスを崩す
と機器が落下してけがの原因となることがあります。安定した姿勢で注
意深く作業してください。
ラックマウントレールに手や指をはさまない
ラックマウントした機器を収納するときおよび引き出すとき、ラックマ
ウントレールに手や指をはさみ、けがの原因となることがあります。
お手入れの際は、電源を切る
電源を接続したままお手入れをすると、感電の原因となることがありま
す。
安全アースを接続する
安全アースを接続しないと、感電の原因となることがあります。次の方
法でアースを接続してください。
•電源コンセントが3極の場合
指定の電源コードを使用することで安全アースが接続されます。
•電源コンセントが2極の場合
指定の3極→2極の変換プラグ
を使用し、変換プラグから出
ている緑色のアース線を建物
に備えられているアース端子
に接続してください。
安全アースを取り付けることができない場合は、ソニーのサービス担当
者にご相談ください。

カメラコマンドネットワークユニットCNU-700は、ソニー
のBVP/HDCシリーズのスタジオ/中継用CCDカラービデ
オカメラシステムで、システムをコントロールするコマン
ドの切り換え、分配調停を行うユニットです。複数台の
BVP/HDCシリーズのビデオカメラにつながるCCU/
HDCUシリーズカメラコントロールユニットとリモートコ
ントロールパネルRCP-700シリーズやマスターセットアッ
プユニットMSU-700/900を本機に接続し、任意のコント
ロールパネルから任意のビデオカメラをコントロールする
ことができます。
本機の主な特長は次のとおりです。
柔軟なシステム構成と高速処理
本機に接続したビデオカメラとコントロールパネル間で
は、次のように様々な組み合わせでのコントロールが可能
です。どのコントロールパネルでどのビデオカメラをコン
トロールするかを任意に設定できますので、システムの設
置・接続終了後に、コントロールパネルのコントロールの
対象を容易に変更できます。
•1対1コントロール
1台のコントロールパネル (RCP-700シリーズまたはMSU-
700/900) で1台のビデオカメラをコントロールします。
•N対1コントロール
2台以上のコントロールパネルまたはマスターセットアッ
プユニットで1台のビデオカメラをコントロールします。
•1対Nコントロール
1台のマスターセットアップユニットで2台以上のビデオ
カメラをコントロールします。
外部コントロール
外部機器からコントロールするためのRS-232Cインター
フェースを装備しています。
高い拡張性
本機1台では最大6台のビデオカメラとコントロールパネル
を接続し、コントロールすることができます。本機に別売
りのCNUIFボードBKP-7930を装着すると、さらに6台のビ
デオカメラとコントロールパネルが接続できるようにな
り、最大12台のビデオカメラとコントロールパネルを使っ
たシステムを構築できます。
CNU-700は、8台まで相互に接続することができます。この
機能を使うと、最大96台までのビデオカメラとコントロー
ルパネルを接続したシステムが可能になります。また接続
した機器のグループ化が可能ですので、ひとつのシステム
で複数の番組制作を並行して行うこともできます。
自己診断機能
CNU-700に接続されているビデオカメラなどの自己診断結
果の表示を、CHARACTER端子に出力することができま
す。
緊急時への対応
万一本機の動作に不具合が生じた場合、内部のOPERA-
TIONスイッチをEMERGENCYにすると、リモートコント
ロールパネルからのコントロール信号を、同じ番号の端子
に接続されているビデオカメラに直接送ることができま
す。これにより、緊急時も、番組制作を継続することがで
きます。

文字情報を、525ラインまたは625ラインの白黒の映像信号
として出力します。どちらの信号を出力するかは、REFER-
ENCE端子に入力した基準信号に合わせて自動的に切り換
わります。REFERENCE端子に入力信号がない場合は、
525ラインの映像信号になります。
出力信号に同期信号を付加するかしないかを、AT基板のス
イッチ (SYNCON/OFF) で選択できます。

Three types of manuals are provided for the
BVP/HDC-series video camera system: an
Operation Manual, a Maintenance Manual, and
a System Manual. The Operation Manual is
provided for each device used in the system, and
the Maintenance and System Manuals are
provided as options.
In the Operation Manual, specific functions and
characteristics of the device, such as features,
functions of each part and specifications, are
described.
In the Maintenance and System Manuals, you
will find general information on the system, such

The CNU-700 Camera Command Network Unit is
designed for use with a Sony BVP/HDC-series
CCD video camera system used in a studio or
outdoor broadcast applications. It switches and
controls commands used for controlling the video
camera system. You can connect multiple CCU/
HDCU-series Camera Control Units (each with a
BVP/HDC-series Color Video Camera connected),
RCP-700-series Remote Control Panels, and an
MSU-700/900 Master Setup Unit to the CNU-700,
which allows you to control any video camera
using any remote control panel.
The CNU-700 has the following features.
Flexibility of system configuration and
high-speed processing
You can control the video cameras and control
panels connected to the CNU-700 in any of the
three combinations listed below. The CNU-700
allows you to specify which remote control panel
controls which video camera so you can easily
specify the combination of camera and control
panel to be controlled after installation and
connection of devices.
•1-on-1 control
One remote control panel or master setup unit
controls one video camera.
•N-on-1 control
Two or more remote control panels and a master
setup unit control one video camera.
•1-on-N control
One master setup unit controls two or more video
cameras.
External control
The CNU-700 has an RS-232C interface for
control from external equipment.
Wide extendibility
A single CNU-700 can control up to six video
cameras and remote control panels. When you
install an optional BKP-7930 CNU IF board in the
CNU-700, you can configure a system using up to
12 video cameras and remote control panels.
You can connect up to eight CNU-700s each other
so that up to 96 video cameras and remote control
panels are controllable in a system. Possible
grouping of the connected equipment enables you
to create several television programs using a single
system.
Self-diagnostic capability
The CNU-700 outputs the results of self-
diagnostics for equipment connected to the
CNU-700, such as a video camera.
Emergency correspondence
If an irregularity in the operation of the equipment
occurs, the remote control panel can directly
control the video camera. When you set the
OPERATION switch on the internal board to
EMERGENCY, the signals from the remote
control panel bypass the CNU-700 and go directly
to the video camera connected to the connector of
the same number as the remote control panel to
continue operations.

controlling multiple cameras with two or more
CNU-700s. You can connect up to eight
CNU-700s.

Supply character data as a 525- or 625-line, black-
and-white video signal.
The signal to be output is automatically selected
according to the reference signal input to the
REFERENCE connector. If no reference signal is
input, the CNU-700 for the USA and Canada
supplies a 525-line video signal, and the CNU-700
for other countries supplies a 625-line video signal.
You can select whether to add a sync signal to the
output signal with the switch (SYNC ON/OFF) on
the AT board.
Refer to the System Manual for details on the board
switch settings.
8REFERENCE (reference signal input)
connectors (BNC type)
Accept a reference signal (VS, BS, etc.). The
signal output from the CHARACTER connector is
synchronized with the input signal.
9RS232C 1 through 3 connectors
(D-sub 9-pin)
Used for the RS-232C interface. The function of
these connectors depends on whether or not an
optional BKP-7930 board is installed in the
CNU-700 as shown below.
