Application
Door controller IP TCIP603-… as
a control unit for management of
access entitlement in private homes
and commercial properties.
It is operated directly via a PC
network (Ethernet standard
10/100Mbit). Operation takes place
using Microsoft Internet Explorer,
current Version.
• Actuation possible via code lock
module COM611-…, electronic
key reading module ELM611-…
or ngerprint module FPM611-…
To increase security, two different
access modules – e.g. COM/
FPM611-… – can be used in com-
bination.
• Password protected
• Central management in the net-
work via any optional PC (Internet
Explorer current version)
• Logging of access and system data
• Attendance/absentee list as log
(when using separate entrance and
exit readers, i.e. 2 readers per door)
• 5 entrances (e.g. door contacts)
• 4 exits (e.g. door release)
• with FSM740-… and SCE640-…
extension possible by further inputs
and outputs
• Connection to Ethernet via RJ45
interface
• LEDs for status display of entrances
• 20 different time models possible
• Max. 40 access groups
• Management of up to 8 doors
• Max. 500 users with 4 character-
istics per user such as ngerprint,
card or code
• Max. 100 ngerprints can be
scanned in
• Variable public holiday and vaca-
tion proles
• Automatic time changeover (sum-
mertime/normal time)
Functional characteristics
An access control system ensures
that only authorized persons are
permitted to enter certain areas. As
a further restriction within the access
entitlement system, a time model is
available which determines when a
certain person is permitted access to
the relevant sector of the building.
English
A door station can comprise an
input module or a combination
of different input modules. The
controller TCIP603-… switches a
relay in response to a valid input
which can then control for instance
a door release, a rotating door or a
turnstile.
By networking several input mod-
ules, it is possible to create highly
complex overall systems whose
clearly arranged user interface
makes them easy to congure and
operate. The TCIP603-… can be
integrated into an existing network.
The TCIP603-… can be congured
via any PC connected to the network
PC. No special software is required.
Programming takes place via the
Internet browser.
Electrical voltage
Mounting, installation and servicing
work on electrical devices may only
be performed by a suitably qualied
electrician. Failure to observe this
regulation could result in the risk of
serious damage to health or fatal
injury due to electric shocks.
• In order to comply with the gen-
eral safety regulations for telecom-
munication systems in accordance
with VDE0100 and VDE0800, and
to prevent electrical interference,
ensure separate routing of heavy
and light current conductors. A dis-
tance of 10cm must be adhered to.
• Declaration of conformity
We, S. Siedle & Söhne, hereby
declare that these devices comply
with the underlying requirements
and other relevant stipulations of
Directive 1999/5/U. The Declaration
of Conformity can be found on

Scope of supply
TCIP603-… comprising:
• TCIP603-… door controller in an
8-grid housing for top hat mounting
• Back-up battery used type Varta
CR3032
• Terminals
• CD with backup software, manual
in the form of a PDF document and
Adobe Acrobat Reader
• This product information
System requirements
• PC with Intel Pentium III from
1GHz or comparable processor
• at least 256 MB RAM
• Internet Explorer, latest version
• VGA graphic card with at least
1024x768Pixel
Mounting
1 Insert the provided terminals in the
jacks at the TCIP603-… marked in
grey. Jacks without inscription are
not assigned a terminal.
2 Clip the controller TCIP603-…
onto the top hat rail. For this, the
TCIP603-… must be suspended in
the rail and the two spring-mounted
plates pulled out until the housing
clips into place. The installation
site must be dry and free of dust.
The ventilation slots must remain
unobstructed to ensure that heat
generated inside the unit is able to
dissipate.
3 There is a back-up battery
mounted in the access control
system which retains the data in
case of a power failure or when
disconnecting from the mains. As a
protection against discharge during
storage, the supply through the
back-up battery is separated with
the aid of an isolating plate. This
plate must be removed when the
TCIP603-… is operational. (Please
keep the plate in a safe place). If the
plate is replaced in the controller
at a later date, the contact to the
battery is interrupted. If there is an
interruption to the power supply all
the data will be lost. The operating
system of the controller is then reset
to its as-delivered status.
