Turning the Laser On
The laser tool can be turned on in Self-Levelling Mode, Manual
Mode, or in the Vertical Position.
Use To
Self-Leveling Mode Place the laser tool on an uneven
surface.
Manual Mode Position the laser tool at any angle.
Vertical Position Reposition the laser tool by 90°.
Self-Leveling Mode
Self-Levelling Mode allows the laser tool to compensate for
placement on an uneven surface up to 4°.
1. Place the laser tool on a smooth, at, level surface.
2. Position the laser tool horizontally (Figure Ⓐ).
3. Move the Lock Switch to the left to select Self-Leveling
Mode (Figure Ⓜ①).
4. Press to turn the laser tool ON.
5. Do not look into the laser beams as they turn on.
• The rotary laser beam turns on (Figure Ⓐ①).
• The Plumb Up Dot laser beam turns on from the top of
the laser tool (Figure Ⓐ②).
6. On the keypad, make sure (Figure Ⓗ②) turns
GREEN. If is ashing RED, the battery level is low.
5. Allow the laser tool 5 seconds to self-level.
6. If the laser is within its 4° compensation range:
• The rotary laser beam starts to rotate (Figure Ⓐ①).
• On the keypad, remains off (Figure Ⓗ①).
• The laser tool is level and ready for use.
If the laser is NOT within its 4° compensation range:
• The rotary laser beam does NOT rotate.
• On the keypad, FLASHES RED (Figure Ⓗ①).
• The laser is not level and must be repositioned on a more
level surface before use.
7. When you are nished using the laser tool in Self‑leveling
Mode, press to turn the laser tool OFF.
Using Manual Mode
Manual Mode allows the laser tool to be positioned at any
angle. When in manual mode, the laser tool is not guaranteed
to be level.
1. Place the laser tool on a smooth, at, level surface.
2. Position the laser tool horizontally (Figure Ⓐ).
3. Move the Lock Switch to the right to select Manual Mode
(Figure Ⓜ②).
4. Press to turn the laser tool ON.
5. Do not look into the laser beams as they turn on.
• The Rotary laser beam turns on and rotates 360°
(Figure Ⓐ①).
• The Plumb Up Dot laser beam turns on from the top of
the laser tool (Figure Ⓐ②).
6. On the keypad, make sure (Figure Ⓗ②) turns
GREEN. If is ashing RED, the battery level is low.
7. On the keypad, make sure is solid RED (Figure Ⓗ①)
8. Use the laser tool.
9. When you are nished using the laser tool in Manual mode,
press to turn the laser tool OFF.
Using the Vertical Position
Placing the laser in the Vertical Position repositions the laser by
90°. When positioned vertically, the laser does not compensate
for an uneven surface. The laser is not guaranteed to be level.
1. Place the laser tool on a smooth, at, level surface.
2. Position the laser vertically (Figure Ⓑ).
3. Move the Lock Switch to the right to select Manual Mode
(Figure Ⓜ②).
4. Press to turn the laser tool ON.
5. Do not look into the laser beams as they turn on.
• The Rotary laser beam turns on and rotates 360°
(Figure Ⓐ①).
• The Plumb Up Dot laser beam turns on from the top of
the laser tool (Figure Ⓐ②).
6. On the keypad, make sure (Figure Ⓗ②) turns
GREEN. If is ashing RED, the battery level is low.
