STIEBEL ELTRON LWZ 180 User manual

Quick Start Guide to your
STIEBEL ELTRON Ventilation System
This guide is in addition to the main instruction and installation manual provided, and explains the basic functions and
settings recommended for optimal performance and ease of use of the following products.
Ventilation in your home
The main purpose of your ventilation system is fresh air supply and wet area extract. This system does this with the
maximum available heat recovery based on the unique design created for your home and the accompanying flow rate
settings entered by the installer on the initial setup
The system is extremely energy efficient and is designed to run continuously 24/7 with an average running cost of around
$10 per month, with this cost outweighed by the energy savings it provides, in addition to the health of the home and its
occupants. When leaving the home for any length of time, simply leave the system on to guarantee moisture control and
fresh air supply upon your return.

Settings
The system is ultimately set and forget, without the need for regular adjustment. Below are the operating modes shown on
the main screen, these are the only typically adjusted settings, with most systems remaining on Stage 2; with the occasional
use of the Intensive Ventilation setting when needed periodically.

Description
Humidity prot. 0 Necessary ventilation for ensuring that the building
structure is protected under normal conditions
of use with somewhat reduced moisture loads,
e.g.during temporary absence of users and no dry-
ing of washing in the residential unit.
Stage 1 1 Reduced ventilation is the ventilation necessary to
meet hygiene standards and ensure protection of the
building structure (moisture level) under standard
conditions of use with partially reduced moisture
and pollutant loads, e.g.as a result of intermittent
user absence.
Stage 2 2 Standard ventilation is the ventilation necessary to
meet hygiene standards and ensure protection of the
building structure when users are present.
Intensive ven-
tilation
3 Intensive ventilation is increased ventilation with a
higher flow rate to reduce load peaks, e.g.for rapid
ventilation during or after a party. You can switch on
intensive ventilation with the programming unit or
with an optionally connectible external pushbutton.
Time program
mode
0 to 2 Time controlled fan program with various adjustable
fan settings.
Stage 1 can be used during the evening if noise is an issue as this is a lower air flow rate.
Stage 2 should be returned to during the daytime if this the case.
Timer Settings
The system does have a timer option to change from Stage 2 to Stage 1 each day automatically if needed.
Please refer to the main instruction manual section 4.4.3 for these settings.
Maintenance
The filters in your ventilation system require cleaning or replacing at regular intervals. Please refer to the main instructions
manual section 5 for further info. Replacement filters are available for purchase via your installer or online via
www.stiebel-eltron.co.nz/store.
