ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
‘Hideout’

Every part needed to construct your cubby is included inside the pack; cedar
panels, doors, windows, hardware kits & roof sheeting. Please ensure you fully
unpack all the parts & check against the parts checklist before contacting
customer service about anything you believe may be missing. Thank-you!

Caution
Please be careful when handling all components, some parts have sharp metal edges.
Always wear work gloves, eye protection and long sleeves when assembling or maintaining
your Hideout.

Before assembly
•Remove all parts from packages and place in a safe place close to assembly area.
•Review all instructions; continue to refer to instructions throughout assembly –step
by step.
Preparing your site
•Choose your site carefully, site surface must be level (unless an Elevation kit or
Heavy duty floor kit option has been purchased with your product)

Hold SR in position and fasten at top & bottom into sidewalls and through bottom plate into
floor at front.
Note, if slide option chosen: fasten slide railing on chosen side.
Repeat with both side railings.

Evenly space floor boards.
Using 8x40N per board, fasten into SJ’s & DJ’s.
Position DS between 2 front railings & fasten down using 2x40N.

Lay roof on a hard surface. Position 1 roof sheet at each end (RS) flush at top and flush with
end of roof battens. Fasten roof sheets to roof frame in number sequence shown using 40RS
(into bottom batten) and 25RS (Into top batten).
Note: screw in Pan at top and in rib at bottom.

Slide roof panel into position with rafters flush with gables on the inside (see diagram).
Fasten up through all 3 gables into roof panel. 2 x 65HHS into veranda gable & 1 x 65HHS
into cubby gables screw up through cubby side walls using 2 x 65HHS per side.
Repeat steps 3.3 –3.8 to complete your roof.

Fasten fascia’s in place using 2 x 40N per fascia holding underside of fascia flush with
bottom of battens and tongue to the top. Nail through fascia into batten.

Slide ridge caps (RC) into position. Screw through ridge caps, through 2nd rib in and into
batten. (See diagram) Fasten both ends and center.

Holding slide in position, mark the base on ground surface. Remove slide from position.
Knock slide pegs (SP) into ground until approx. 300mm above ground. Move slide back into
position over top of pegs. Screw through slide into pegs using 1 x 40RS per side.
Fasten top of slide to railing through slide holes using 2 x 40RS.
