gnostik sind starre Endoskope, Lichtleitkabel und
IMAGE1 S Kamerakontrolleinheiten erhältlich, die
speziell für die Fluoreszenzdiagnostik modifiziert
wurden.
Das D-LIGHT|P-System darf nur mit empfohlenem
Zubehör verwendet werden.
Die empfohlene Systemzusammenstellung können
Sie der Systembeschreibung für KARL|STORZ
Fluoreszenz Imaging (FI) Systeme entnehmen.
Wie bei nahezu allen Diagnoseverfahren kön-
nen auch bei der ICG-gestützten Visualisierung
falsch-positive und falsch-negative Ergebnis-
se auftreten. Eine Evaluierung über andere
Methoden ist notwendig.

her Energie aus, die zu hohen Temperaturen
am Lichtfenster des Endoskops führen kann.
Gewebeschäden sind möglich.
VORSICHT:
Angeschlossene Lichtkabel nicht auf
brennbaren Gegenständen wie Textilien (OP-Tücher)
oder in unmittelbarer Nähe von mit brennbaren Flüs-
sigkeiten wie Desinfektionsmitteln getränkten Tupfern
ablegen. Durch die Hitzeentwicklung am freien Ende
des Lichtkabels können diese sich entzünden.

CAUTION: Do not place connected light cables

Als Markersubstanz für die Visualisierung der Gewe-
bedurchblutung, beispielsweise für die Erkennung

zugelassene Pharmazeutika nach Herstellerangabe
verwendet werden (z.B. ICG).
Für die Verabreichung und Wirkung geeigneter
Markersubstanzen übernimmt KARL|STORZ

Kontraindikation
Bei der Verwendung des D-LIGHT|P-Systems
zur peripheren Durchblutungs-Darstellung gelten

Verwendung ist kontraindiziert, wenn endoskopi-
sche Untersuchungstechniken dem aktuellen Stand

Lichtquellen dienen zur Beleuchtung während

bestimmt ist aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht zulässig.

Light sources are used for illumination during
endoscopic, open or microscopic procedures.
Additionally they are used for excitation during
near-infrared ƃuorescence imaging.

6.4 Sicherheitsmaßnahmen
am Aufstellort
Das Gerät darf nur in medizinisch genutzten Räu-
men benutzt werden, werden, deren elektrische
Installationen den national gültigen Vorschriften
entsprechen.
Es ist nicht für den Betrieb in explosionsgefährdeten
Bereichen bestimmt. Dies bedeutet u.a.:
Bei Verwendung von leicht brennbaren und
explosionsfähigen Inhalations-Anästhesiemitteln
und deren Gemischen darf das Gerät nicht in der
dargestellten Gefahrenzone betrieben werden.
Dieses gilt auch für leicht brennbare und explosi-
onsfähige Chemikalien, z.B. Hautdesinfektions- und
Flächenschnelldesinfektionsmittel.
Das Gerät ist mit einer Steckvorrichtung für den
Potenzialausgleich ausgerüstet. Diese sollte nach
Maßgabe der national gültigen Vorschriften ange-
schlossen werden.
6.5 Sicherheitsmaßnahmen beim
Einsatz des Gerätes
Der Anwender hat sich vor der Anwendung des
Gerätes von der Funktionssicherheit und dem ord-
nungsgemäßen Zustand des Gerätes und des ver-
wendeten Zubehörs zu überzeugen. Während der
Behandlung unter Verwendung des D-LIGHT|P-Sys-
tems muss der Patient mit der üblichen medizini-
schen Sorgfalt behandelt und beobachtet werden.
Dies schließt die endoskopische Verlaufskontrolle
des Behandlungsvorgangs, die Überwachung der
Vitalwerte und der Narkose mit ein.
6.3 User qualiƂcation
The D-LIGHT|P system may only be used by
physicians and medical assistants who have a cor-
responding specialized qualiƂcation and who have
been instructed in use of the unit. Defective color
vision hinders normal application of the system.

6.4 Safety precautions at the site of
installation
The unit may only be used in medical rooms where
the installations comply with the applicable national
regulations.
It is not intended for use in hazardous zones.
This means, for example, that when using easily
combustible and explosive inhalation anesthetics
or mixtures thereof, the unit must not be operated
inside the hazard zone shown in the diagram. This
also applies for easily combustible and explosive
chemicals, e.g. skin disinfectants and fast-acting
surface disinfectants.
The unit is equipped with a connector for attaching
a ground line. It should be connected up in accor-
dance with national regulations.
6.5 Safety precautions when
operating the unit
The user must be convinced of the operational
safety and proper condition of the unit, as well as
of the relevant accessories, before using. During a
procedure using the D-LIGHT|P system the patient
must be treated and kept under observation with
the usual medical care. This includes keeping a
check on the progress of treatment, as well as
monitoring the vital levels and the anesthetic.

7.1 Unpacking the equipment
Carefully unpack the D-LIGHT|P system and
remove the unit and its accessories from their
packaging. Check for missing items and evidence of
shipping damage.
File any complaints with the manufacturer or
supplier immediately.
If possible, retain the original packing materials for
later use; these can come in handy if the unit has to
be transported.

Das Gerät nicht direkt an die Wand stellen,
da sich an der linken und hinteren Seite (Lichtquelle
von vorne betrachtet) Lüftungsschlitze befinden.
Achten Sie darauf, dass der Wandabstand zur lin-
ken Seite mindestens 10|cm beträgt. Die Rückseite
der Lichtquelle darf nicht abgedeckt werden, um
eine optimale Luftzirkulation zu gewährleisten (keine
geschlossenen Gerätewagen verwenden).

Luftzirkulation in der Geräteumgebung.
3WARNUNG: Eine unzureichende Belüftung
des Gerätes kann zu einem Wärmestau
im Geräteinneren führen, welcher eine

Do not place the unit directly against the
wall since the air vents are on the left-hand side
and rear of the unit (light source viewed from front).
Ensure that the left hand side of the unit is located
at least 10|cm away from the wall. The rear of the
light source must remain uncovered in order to
ensure optimal air circulation (do not use a closed
equipment trolley).

Linke vordere Seitenblende mit Schraubendreher
lösen.
Gegebenenfalls vorhandenen unbeschrifteten
Platzhalter entfernen. Beschriftungsstreifen auswäh-
len (z.Zt. in 6|Sprachen erhältlich) und zwischen
Dekorfolie und Frontblech schieben.
Den Streifen bei der Strichmarkierung um 90°
knicken und ca. 2 mm weiter (zum Streifenende hin)
wieder 90° zurückknicken, damit die Seitenblende
wieder ungehindert angebracht werden kann.

Undo the left-hand front side cover with a
screwdriver.
Remove any unmarked label strips. Select a label
strip (currently available in 6 languages) and slide it
between the plastic and the metal front.
Fold the strip along the broken line to an angle of
90° and approx. 2 mm further on (toward the end of
the strip) fold it back to an angle of 90° so that the
side cover can be reƂtted without any obstructions.
Replace the side cover.

7.4 Inbetriebnahme
Netzschalter ①einschalten.
Der Selbsttest startet (alle LEDs leuchten). Die
Lampe zündet. Die Gerätevariante Bwird kurz an-
gezeigt. Die Applikation, die beim Ausschalten des
Gerätes aktiv war, wird wieder aktiviert (z.B.:|ICG).
Die Lampenbetriebsdauer wird kurz angezeigt.
1HINWEIS: Bei einer Lampenbetriebsdauer
> 350 h ertönt ein Ton von 2|s Dauer und die
Warnleuchte Lampenlebensdauer ③leuchtet.
Bei einer Lampenbetriebsdauer > 400 h ertönt
ein intermittierender Ton von 10|s Dauer und
die Kontroll-Leuchte Lampenwechsel ②leuch-
tet (siehe auch Abschnitt »Funktion der Warn-
und Kontroll-Leuchten auf der Frontplatte«
Seite 17).
Das D-LIGHT|P-System stellt sich automatisch auf
eine Leistungsabgabe von 100% im reduzierten
Weißlichtmodus der Applikation ein* bzw. auf 25%
im »Std«-Modus.
1*HINWEIS: Um eine efƂziente Fluoreszenz-
anregung zu gewährleisten, ist in der Regel
eine Reduzierung der Lichtleistungsabgabe
von 100% nicht empfehlenswert, da die
Fluoreszenz-Anregungsmodi nur in einem
schmalen Wellenlängenbereich Licht emittieren.
1HINWEIS: Hat das NOVRAM (Speicher)
einen Fehler, dann erscheint statt der
Applikation und der Betriebsstundenanzeige
die Fehlermeldung »E03« (siehe Abschnitt
»Fehlersuchliste« S. 31).
3WARNUNG: Verwenden Sie abhängig
vom Eingriff immer die niedrigst mögliche
Geräteeinstellung.
7.4 Operating the unit
Activate power switch ①.
The self-test starts (all LEDs light up). The lamp
ignites. The unit version Bis displayed brieƃy. The
application that was active when the unit was
switched off is reactivated (e.g.: ICG).
The lamp operating time is displayed brieƃy.
1NOTE: With a lamp operating time > 350 h,
a signal sounds for 2 s and the lamp ser-
vice life warning light ③glows. With a lamp
operating time > 400 h, an intermittent
signal sounds for 10 s and the lamp replace-
ment indicator ②glows (also refer to the
section,‘Function of the warning and indicator
lights on the front panel’ on page 17).
The D-LIGHT P system always initializes to 100%
brightness in the reduced white light mode* of the
application or to 25% in ‘Std’ mode.
1* NOTE: To guarantee efficient fluorescence
excitation, it is generally not recommended to
reduce the brightness from 100%, as the fluo-
rescence excitation modes only emit light in a
small wavelength spectrum.
1NOTE: If the NOVRAM (memory) has a
fault, the error message ‘E03’ (see section
‘Troubleshooting’ on p. 31) appears instead
of the application and operating hours display.
