A1: Ifyouusethe DynamicIP connectiontype,you cansimplyperformsteps I, III,
andV to connectthenovaunits.Whenallthe nova units' LEDs light solid blue,
yourWiFinetworkissetup.
A2:Verifythat:
You powered offyourrouterbefore connectingittothefirstnova unit.
- Your modem/router can access the Internet andthattheLEDofthefirstnova
unitis blue. If the LED is notblue,pleaseverifythatthe connectionsofthenova
unit arecorrect, andthen usethe TendaWi-Fiapptoreconfigureit.
- Allother nova units are connected properly,poweredon,andthattheirLEDsare
notred.
- Anydevices connectedtothenovaunitsareconfigured to obtain IP addresses
andDNSserveraddressesautomatically.
Q3:How canIchangemySSID and password?
A3:PerformstepIItodownloadandinstalltheTendaWiFi app, runtheapp,tap
Settings inthelower-rightcorner,tap WirelessSettings,changeyourSSIDand
password,and tap Save.Then, youneedtoreconnect your mobile devices
usingthe new SSID and password.
Q4:How canIrestorethefactorysettings ofanovaunit?
A4:Hold down its Reset buttonforabout6 seconds until its LED turnslight blue. Its
currentSSID and password remainunchanged.
Q5:How canIremoveanova unit from my WiFinetwork?
A5:Hold downitsReset buttonforabout20secondsuntilitsLED turnswhite,ortap
thenova unit on the Tenda WiFiapp, tap in the upper-rightcorner, and choose
Delete.
Q6:Can Iaddnewnovaunits to expand my networkcoverage?
A6:Yes.Youcan purchase new nova units andperformthe followingprocedure:
(1) Place each newnovaunitlessthan45feetfroman originalnovaunitand
powerthem on.
(2)Run the TendaWiFi app.
(3)If the new nova units are detected,followtheon-screeninstructions to add
them.Otherwise,tap Settings inthelower-rightcorner, tap AddNova,and
followthe on-screen instructionstoadd them.
