Specially made to be adapted on the « Intégrale »
and the « Alpha Plus » extraction Lines, the
Opermiel endless screw allows the continuous
transfer of honey and cappings to the decanting
or filtering device without emulsion.
The device is sold with an automatic switch (1) for
the honey evacuation.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
CAUTION : Before connecting the appliance to a power supply, make sure that your electric
installations comply with current standards (differential circuit breaker protection, earth wire,
etc.).
Check the supply voltage.
Before using the unit for the first time, clean it to remove any residual metal shavings or filings.
Keep out children’s reach - Unplug after each use.
The Opermiel endless screw can send the honey up to 10 m without adding a pump.

OPERATING PRINCIPLES
The honey and wax from the uncapping process as well as the honey coming out of the extractor are
collected in the Opermiel.
Thanks to its stainless-steel double spiral screw (2), the machine ensures the continuous evacuation
of the different elements to a decanting or filtering device. It is also designed for the continuous
feeding of a Spinomel.
The Opermiel is placed on four feet and perfectly fits the Alpha Plus and Delta + uncapping machines.
It can also be used on its own.
The unit is equipped with a protective grid (4) to prevent possible broken frame parts from blocking
the screw.
The automatic screw trigger is timed. This means that when the level is no longer "critical", the
screw continues to rotate for a few moments to avoid sending the honey in sudden bursts. It is
therefore necessary to check that the screw trigger level is not too low, otherwise the screw may
run empty and emulsify the honey.
Option:
The machine can be equipped with a heating base. The temperature can be adjusted using an energy
dosing device (strongly recommended for rapeseed or viscous honey). Power supply: single-phase
220 V - 2 x 500 W.
The machine can also be equipped with a mixing screw if the proportion of wax is too important and
blocks the flow. Power supply: Triple phase 380 V - 180 W (or single phase 220 V on request).

USAGE GUIDE
•Use within an “Intégrale”extraction line
Press the reversing button on the control box. The direction of use is to be determined by the
customer.
When the automatic trigger level is reached (1), the screw starts automatically.
•Use of the machine alone or in an Alpha Plus line
Push the ON button on the circuit breaker (7).
Push the direction switch button (6) on the command box attached to the unit.
When the automatic tripping level is reached (1), the screw starts automatically.
Should any problems occur during operation, press the red emergency stop button (5) to switch
off the power supply to the motor.
To restart operation: Slightly rotate the button to the right to unlock it and then press the ON
button on the circuit breaker (7).
CAUTION : If the wax clogs up the endless screw, unplug the machine and disassemble the cone
to clean it.
•Automatic switch adjustment
To adjust the hight of the automatic switch, untighten its support and lower or raise it.
To adjust the timer, open the command box and turn the screw shown below.

•Installation a posteriori d’une vis de mélange
To install a mixing screw after having bought the Opermiel:
- Put the mixing screw on the Opermiel.
- Mark the 4 holes that must be drilled.
- Drill these holes.
- Install the mixing screw and tighten the bolts. No joint is needed.
Fix the command box, next to the Opermiel one. This also needs to drill 2 holes for 2
bolts.

MAINTENANCE
CAUTION : Unplug the device before any maintenance operation.
Protect the electric parts before cleaning the machine.
Empty the endless screw with the drain switch.
For heated bases: the housing with the heating device is not water-proof. Do not clean
with too much water. When washing the floor, put the Opermiel aside so as not to
damage it.
Wash with hot water.
The Opermiel screw can be completely and easily disassembled for easy maintenance.
To do this, loosen the stainless-steel collar, remove the cone (8) then pull the screw
(2). During reassembly, the screw must not be forced (it must fit easily into the shaft)
and the cone should fit back in place easily.
The Opermiel is a seasonal equipment but must operate regularly throughout the year
(at least a few minutes per month).
Store preferably in a dry room.

Frequent questions
CAUTION : Unplug the machine before any maintenance operation.
Problem Possible solution
The machine does not start.
- Check that the machine is correctly plugged to the power
supply.
- Check the power supply (power failure).
- Check that the ON switch on the circuit breaker is pushed
in.
- Check that the emergency stop switch is unlocked (turn it
clockwise to unlock).
-Check that the operating direction invertor is on.
The endless screw is not
turning.
- There may be a clog in the cone. Disassemble the cone
and clean it with hot water.
- A foreign object may be inside the conduct. Disassemble
the endless screw and clean with hot water. Check the
inside of the conduct for any object.
A wax clog is forming above the
screw
- Stop the machine and push the clog with a plastic or
wooden tool.
- If the problem regularly occurs, equip the Opermiel with
the mixing screw. (optional)
The honey level is too high -
Lower the automatic switch so that the screw is activated
quicker.
The screw runs empty - Raise the automatic switch to activate the screw later.
The machine leaks at the motor-
tank junction - Tighten the 2 bolts on either side.
