Helimel is specially designed to decrystallize cold
honey and produce creamy honey.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
CAUTION : Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, make sure that the
electrical installation complies with current standards (protection by earth leakage
circuit breaker, earth wire, etc.).
Check the supply voltage.
Before using the unit for the first time, clean the unit to remove any residual chips or
filings.
Read the entire manual carefully before starting the installation.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The Helimel is equipped with a stainless steel screw (1) allowing the cold crystallized
honey to be skinned. Thanks to this scraping, the honey becomes viscous and can then
be melted quickly to obtain a liquid honey or be refined by a mixer to become creamy,
fine and grain-free. The device is equipped with a receptacle to prevent the honey from
dripping onto the floor (16).
Option :
The machine can be supplied with the Viscomel, which allows the honey to be drained
off as it decrystallizes (Ref. 1485).

USAGE GUIDE
Connect to the power supply. Switch on the unit by pressing the button (2) provided for
this purpose: an indicator lamp (3) lights up.
Press the ON push-button (4): the ON indicator light (5) should come on. If it does not
light up, unplug the appliance and reverse two phases in the power plug (the appliance
is equipped with a phase direction controller).
Press the up button (6): the unit rises and is automatically stopped once it comes into
contact with the "limit switch" (high level) system (7).
Place the drum under the unit and strap it tightly.
Press the lowering push button (8), the device goes down again. Press the propeller
rotation button (9). Activate the direction switch (10) in manual mode.
In automatic mode the unit descends automatically after an impulse on the descent
button and rotates automatically when the propeller is inside the drum.
CAUTION : As a safety measure, a drum height detection system (11) triggers the
rotation of the propeller only once it is inside the drum.

When the propeller comes into contact with a very hard layer of honey, a second safety
system ("hard honey" device) (12) stops the propeller from descending into the barrel.
The propeller continues to rotate in order to scrape off the layer of honey.
Once the layer of honey has been sufficiently stripped off, the propeller continues its
descent.
Another "limit switch" system (13) ("Low level") automatically stops the descent of the
propeller before it reaches the bottom of the barrel.
To stop the machine, operate the STOP switch (14) then unlock it by turning it slightly to
the right and press the ON push button (4).
The Helimel is equipped with a pendulum safety system (15) which stops the machine in
the event of intense effort or a badly strapped drum.

MAINTENANCE
CAUTION : Disconnect the machine from the power supply before carrying out any
maintenance work.
Take care not to damage the electrical parts of the machine when cleaning.
Clean with hot water.
The Helimel is a seasonal equipment but must operate regularly throughout the year (at
least a few minutes per month when empty).
Store preferably in a dry room.

Frequent Questions
CAUTION : Unplug the machine before any maintenance operation is carried out.

Problem Possible Solution
The machine does not start
- Check that the unit is connected to the power supply.
- Check the power supply (power failure).
- Check that the STOP button is unlocked (unlock it by
turning it to the right).
- Check the condition of the fuses in the control box.
- Check the condition of the motor protection circuit
breaker in the control box (15).
The ON signal does not light
- Unplug the unit and then change a phase in the power
plug (the unit is equipped with a phase direction
controller). To do this, open the plug from the socket,
swap two wires.
