1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Engagetheparkingbrake.
3.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.

RemovingtheExistingSeat
NoPartsRequired
Procedure
1.Removethe4boltsandwashersthatsecurethe
seat-supportstrapstothefueltank(Figure1).
Note:Retaintheboltsandwashersforinstalling
thenewseat.
2.Disconnecttheelectricalharnessfromtheseat
switchonthebottomoftheseat.
3.Removeanddiscardtheboltsandwashersthat
securetheseatbelttotheexistingseat(Figure
1).
Note:Retaintheseatbeltforinstallingthenew
seat.
4.Removeanddiscardthe4locknutsthatsecure
theseattotheseat-supportstraps(Figure1).
Note:Youmaydiscardtheseatstraps.

1.Mounttheseatbelttotheseatwith2bolts,2
atwashers(1/2inch),and2atwashers(9/16
inch);refertoFigure2.
Note:Mounttheseatbeltretractortotheleft
sideoftheseat.
2.Torquetheboltsto49to61ft-lb(66to83N∙m).
3.Mountthenewseattotheseatsupportstraps
withthe4angelocknutsand4spacers(Figure
2).
Important:ForReelmaster3100-D
machines:Usethestrapswith3-holepattern
inthecenter.
Important:ForGreensmaster3500-D/3505-D
machines:Usethestrapswith4-holepattern
inthecenter.
Note:Usetheinner-frontsetofholesinthe
seatsupportstraps.
4.Torquethenutsto15to19ft-lb(20to26N∙m).
5.Connecttheelectricalharnesstotheseatswitch
onthebottomoftheseat.
6.Mounttheseat-supportstrapstothefueltank
withthepreviouslyremovedboltsandwashers
(Figure2).
7.Torquetheboltsto27to33ft-lb(37to45N∙m).
