Please note that features available in Tapo may vary by model and software version. Tapo availability may also vary by region. All images, steps, and
descriptions in this guide are only examples and may not reect your actual Tapo experience.

Introduction
Tapo P125 Mini Smart Wi-Fi Plug is a compact home device that turns your typical electrical wall outlet into a controllable, customizable and multi-
functional outlet, enabling you to easily control your lights and household electronic devices via the Tapo app, no matter where you nd yourself.
• Voice Control - Manage your smart socket with voice commands via Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant.
• Remote Control - Instantly turn connected devices on/o wherever you are through the Tapo app.
• Schedule - Preset a schedule to automatically manage devices.
• Apple Homekit Supported - Fully integrates into your Apple Home ecosystem.
• Away Mode - Automatically turns devices on and o at dierent times to give the appearance that someone is home.
• Compact Design - Mini-sized to avoid blocking adjacent sockets.
• Easy Setup and Use - No hub required, set up quickly and manage easily through the free app. Bluetooth onboarding technology makes setup
simpler for faster connection.

Appearance
Smart Socket:
Plug in your device and control it from Tapo app on your phone/tablet.
Power Button:
• Press once:
Turn on or o the smart plug.
• Press and hold for 5 seconds:
Keep the existing settings except Wi-Fi.
• Press and hold for 10 seconds:
Restore your smart plug to factory default settings.
System LED
• Blinking orange and blue: Ready for setup
• Blinking orange: Connecting to a Wi-Fi network
• Solid orange: Connected to Wi-Fi or disconnected from the Wi-Fi; oine
• Solid blue: Connected to server and working properly
• Blinking blue: Being reset; being upgraded

Set Up Your Smart Plug
Follow the steps below to get started with your new smart plug, or you can follow the setup video at https://www.tp-link.com/support/setup-video/.
Step 1. Download Tapo App
Get the Tapo app from the App Store or
Google Play, or by scanning the QR code
below.
Step 2. Log In
Open the app, and log in with your TP-Link ID.
If you don't have an account, create one rst.
Step 3. Add Your Plug
Tap the button in the Tapo app, choose
Plugs, and select your model. Follow the
instructions in the Tapo app to complete the
setup.

Before you start:
1. Your iPhone or iPad should be connected to a stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
2. To control this HomeKit-enabled accessory, the latest version of iOS or iPadOS is recommended.
3. HomeKit will be disabled after 10 minutes since the smart plug is powered on. You can power o your device and power it back on, then try again.
Add to Home
Add Your Plug to Home
This is a HomeKit-enabled device. You can also add it to the Home app for easy control from your iPhone or iPad. Follow the steps below to add your
smart mini plug via the Home app.
1. Open the Home app. Or if you have added the smart plug to Tapo, you can also tap Add to Home in the Device Settings page.
2. Scan the HomeKit QR code on the provided label. It will be added to Home automatically.

Failed to add to Home?
1. Press and hold the Power button for at least 10 seconds to factory reset the smart plug and and restart your phone. Then try again.
2. Move both your iPhone/iPad and the smart plug closer to the router to get a stronger Wi-Fi signal.
3. Turn o the Wi-Fi on your iPhone/iPad for a few seconds, then turn it back on to clear the cache of the Home app.
4. Make sure your iPhone/iPad is connected to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Set dierent names for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, or temporarily turn o
the router's 5 GHz Wi-Fi until your smart device is successfully added.
5. Change the router's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel to a xed one, such as 1, 6, and 11. Then reboot your router.
6. If you still cannot add the smart plug to Home, tap set it up with Tapo manually. Then follow the app instructions to add your smart plug.

Set Up via Amazon Frustration-Free Setup
What is Amazon Frustration-Free Setup?
Amazon Frustration-Free Setup can help connect and set up Tapo smart devices in fewer steps, without having to remember and re-enter your Wi-Fi
password on each device.
To use this feature, conrm the following:
● The new Tapo device supports Amazon FFS (short for Amazon Frustration-Free Setup).
● You have an Amazon FFS enabled Alexa device or router.
● You have saved your Wi-Fi information to Amazon by using Alexa echo.
● Your Tapo device and router are on the same network as your Alexa echo.

Solid blue Working properly
If the LED does not turn solid green after a long time, you can try to add the Tapo device manually. (Open the Tapo app, tap the +button on the page,
select your device model, and follow the app instructions to complete setup. )

2. Enter Tapo in the search bar and choose Tapo.
