Bitte lesen Sie die folgenden Abschnitte aufmerksam durch, damit Sie die
Funktionen dieses Produkts und seine Bedienung kennenlernen.

1) Allgemeines
Beachten Sie unbedingt die Sicherheits- und Verwendungshinweise in
Kapitel 2 dieser Anleitung.
Bewahren Sie diese Anleitung auf und händigen Sie sie bei Weitergabe des
Geräts auch an den neuen Besitzer aus.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät stets nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck
(siehe Kapitel 3). Der Hersteller haftet nicht für Schäden, die sich aus
nichtbestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung des Gerätes ergeben. Weiter ist
der Hersteller nicht für Beschädigungen oder Verlust von Daten und deren
Folgeschäden verantwortlich.
Der Hersteller behält sich das Recht vor, das Produkt ständig weiterzuentwickeln.
Diese Änderungen können ohne direkte Beschreibung in dieser Anleitung
vorgenommen werden. Informationen in dieser Bedienungsanleitung

2) Sicherheits- und Verwendungshinweise
aAchtung: Decken Sie das Gerät während des Betriebs nicht ab. Das kann zu Überhitzung führen.
aAchtung: Schalten Sie das Gerät sofort aus, falls es nass werden
sollte. Lassen Sie das Gerät auf Betriebssicherheit überprüfen, bevor
Sie es wieder benutzen.
dTechnische Arbeiten an dem Produkt dürfen nur von entsprechend qualifizierten Personen durchgeführt werden. Das Produkt darf
weder geöffnet werden, noch dürfen Änderungen daran
vorgenommen werden. Die Komponenten können nicht vom
Nutzer gewartet werden.

eSetzen Sie das Gerät niemals Feuchtigkeit, Kondenswasser und Nässe aus.
jSchützen Sie das Gerät vor extrem hohen und niedrigen Temperaturen und Temperaturschwankungen. Betreiben Sie es nur bei einer
Umgebungstemperatur innerhalb des Bereichs von 10º C und 40º C.
mStellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe einer Wärmequelle auf und schützen Sie es vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung.
hAchten Sie bei der Verwendung und Lagerung des Geräts auf eine möglichst staubfreie Umgebung.
gDie Reinigung der Oberfläche des Geräts darf niemals mit Lösungsmitteln, Farbverdünnern, Reinigungsmitteln oder anderen
chemischen Produkten erfolgen, nutzen Sie stattdessen ein weiches,
trockenes Tuch bzw. einen weichen Pinsel.
pSollten Sie das Gerät einer elektrostatischen Entladung aussetzen,
kann es zu einer Unterbrechung des Datentransfers zwischen dem
Gerät und dem Computer kommen beziehungsweise Funktionen des
Geräts können gestört werden. In diesem Fall das Gerät vom USB-
Port abziehen und erneut einstecken beziehungsweise
die WLAN-Verbindung neu aufbauen.
oVon der Nutzung von USB-Kabeln mit Leitungslängen von mehr als 3 m sollte abgesehen werden.
qDie Ihnen vom Betriebssystem angezeigte Speicherkapazität
Ihres Gerätskann von der eigentlichen Kapazität abweichen.
TrekStor verwendet, wie die meisten Hardwarehersteller, zur Angabe
der Speicherkapazität die vom Internationalen Einheitensystem
(SI) vorgegeben Präfixe für Einheiten (z. B. 1 GB = 1.000.000.000 Byte).
Viele Betriebssysteme halten sich allerdings nicht an diese Vorgabe
und zeigen eine geringere Speicherkapazität an, da sie ihren
Berechnungen 1 GB = 2 Byte = 1.073.741.824 Byte zugrunde legen.
iBewegen Sie das Gerät nicht, solange die integrierte Festplatte aktiv ist. Datenverlust oder Schäden an der Festplatte können die Folge sein.
Betreiben Sie das Gerät auf einer stabilen Fläche. Achten Sie auf
waagrechten Betrieb.

6) Die DataStation mit dem Computer verbinden
a) Verbinden Sie den USB 3.0-Anschluss Ihrer DataStation mit einem
USB 3.0-Anschluss Ihres Computers. Verwenden Sie hierfür bitte
ausschließlich das mitgelieferte USB 3.0-Anschlusskabel.
iDank der Abwärtskompatibilität von USB 3.0 können Sie Ihre DataStation
ebenfalls mit einem USB 2.0- oder USB 1.1-Anschluss Ihres Computers verbinden,
in diesem Fall werden Sie jedoch nicht von der höheren Übertragungs-
geschwindigkeit profitieren, die Ihre DataStation beim Anschluss über
USB 3.0 erreichen kann. Verwenden Sie hierfür ebenfalls das mitgelieferte
USB 3.0-Anschlusskabel.
iStromversorgung unter USB 2.0: Sollte Ihre USB 3.0-Festplatte an einem
Computer mit einem USB 2.0-Anschluss nicht erkannt werden, kann die
Stromversorgung hierfür eine mögliche Ursache sein. Bitte schließen Sie in
diesem Fall einen USB-Hub mit externer Stromversorgung an.
b) Ihr Betriebssystem erkennt die DataStation automatisch und fügt auf dem
"ArbeitsplAtz"/"Computer" (Microsoft Windows) bzw. auf dem "Desktop" (Mac
OS X und Linux) die DataStation als "Lokaler Datenträger" (bzw. "Lokales
Laufwerk") hinzu. Ihre DataStation wir als "TREKSTOR" angezeigt.
7) Datenaustausch
Windows® 8.1 / 8 / 7 / Vista® / XP
a) Markieren Sie die gewünschten Dateien bzw. Ordner mit der Maus.
b) Positionieren Sie den Mauszeiger über den markierten Dateien bzw.
Ordnern und drücken Sie dann die rechte Maustaste. Wählen Sie aus
dem erscheinenden Kontextmenü den Punkt "kopieren" aus.
c) Wählen Sie im "ArbeitsplAtz"/"Computer"/"Desktop" das gewünschte Ziel
(z. B. das Laufwerk "trekstor") aus.
d) Drücken Sie die rechte Maustaste und wählen Sie die Option "einfügen",
um den Kopiervorgang zu starten. Nach Abschluss des Kopiervorgangs
sind die Daten auf dem Ziellaufwerk vorhanden.
iSie können die Dateien auch per "Drag & Drop" kopieren.

Mac® OS X® 10.6 oder neuer
Markieren Sie die gewünschten Dateien mit der Maus. Ziehen Sie per
Drag & Drop die Dateien im "finDer" auf das Laufwerkssymbol Ihrer DataStation.
iIhre DataStation wurde mit dem leistungsfähigen Dateisystem NTFS
vorformatiert. Dieses Dateisystem ist optimiert für die Verwendung mit
Microsoft Windows Betriebssystemen ab Windows XP und kann auch unter
Linux Betriebssystemen problemlos verwendet werden. Wenn Sie Mac OS X
verwenden, müssen Sie ein anderes Dateisystem verwenden. Sie können
Ihre DataStation mit dem "Festplatten-Dienstprogramm" von Mac OS X
schnell und einfach auf ein anderes Dateisystem umformatieren. Sie haben
die Wahl zwischen dem Dateisystem "HFS+", das für Mac OS X optimiert
ist, und "FAT32", welches auch den Austausch von Daten mit Windows
Betriebssystemen ermöglicht.
8) Die DataStation vom Computer abmelden und trennen
Windows 8.1 / 8 / 7 / Vista / XP
Klicken Sie mit der linken Maustaste unten rechts in der Taskleiste auf
das Symbol "HArDwAre entfernen oDer Auswerfen". Wählen Sie aus dem
erscheinenden Kontextmenü den Punkt "usb-mAssenspeiCHer - lAufwerk
entfernen" durch Klicken mit der linken Maustaste aus. Dadurch wird die
DataStation aus dem Betriebssystem Ihres Rechners entfernt. Jetzt können
Sie die DataStation von Ihrem Computer trennen.
Mac OS X 10.6 oder neuer
Sie müssen das Laufwerk vom Desktop entfernen, bevor Sie es trennen oder
abschalten. Dazu klicken Sie auf das betreffende Laufwerk-Symbol und
ziehen es auf das Papierkorb-Symbol.
iBefolgen Sie bitte den empfohlenen Abmeldevorgang, um Schäden am
Gerät oder Datenverlust zu vermeiden!

Please read the following instructions carefully to learn about the features
and functions of this product.

1) General information
It is essential to follow the safety and usage instructions listed in Chapter 2
of this manual.
Keep this manual and hand it over to the next owner of the device.
Use the device only for its intended purposes (see Chapter 3). The manufacturer
accepts no liability for any damage resulting from nonintended use of the
device. Furthermore, the manufacturer accepts no liability for damaged or
lost data and all consequential damages.
The manufacturer retains the right to continually improve the product.
The changes maybe made without being directly described in these
operating instructions. For this reason, the information provided in this
operating instructions may not reflect the current state of the art.
2) Instructions for Safety and Use
aAttention: Do not cover the device during operation.
It can lead to overheating.
aAttention: If it gets wet, turn the power off immediately. Have the
device checked for safe operation before using it again.
dOnly qualified persons may perform technical work on the product. The product may not be opened or changed. The components
cannot be serviced by the user.
eNever expose the device to moisture, condensation and liquids.
jProtect the device from extremely high and low temperatures and temperature fluctuations. Use the device within an ambient
temperature of 10º C until 40º C.

mNever place the device close to a source of heat, and protect it from direct sunlight.
hMake sure that the surroundings are as dust-free as possible when you use and store the device.
gNever clean the surface of the device with solvents, paint thinners, cleansers or other chemical products. Instead, use a soft, dry cloth or

pIn certain circumstances, exposing the device to an electrostatic
discharge may interrupt the data transfer between the device and
the computer and impair the functions of the device. If this occurs,
the device should be unplugged from the USB port and then plugged
in again.
oDo not use USB cables longer than 3 meters.
qThe capacity indicated by your operating system can be different
than the actual capacity of your device. Like most manufacturers
of computer hardware, TrekStor uses the prefixes for units (e.g. 1 GB
= 1.000.000.000 bytes) as prescribed by the International System of
Units (SI). Unfortunately, many operating systems do not comply with
this norm and display a lower capacity because they base their
calculations on the assumption that 1 GB = 2 bytes = 1.073.741.824 bytes.
iDo not move the object as long as the integrated hard drive is active.
Data loss or damage to the hard drive could result. Place the device
on a stable service. Ensure horizontal use.
3) About DataStation® pocket pace 3.0
The DataStation pocket pace 3.0 is an external hard drive with a
USB 3.0-interface for data archiving.

iPlease note that the drivers for the USB 3.0 port are not automatically
installed with all operating systems. If you have any questions about the
installation of these drivers, please contact the manufacturer of your
computer or of the used USB 3.0 interface card.
6) Connecting the DataStation to a computer
a) Connect the USB 3.0 port of your DataStation with a USB 3.0 port of
your computer. Please use only the provided USB 3.0 cable.
iThanks to the downward compatibility of USB 3.0 you can also connect your
DataStation to a USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 port of your computer. In this case, you
will not be able to benefit from the higher data transfer rate that you can
get when you connect the DataStation via USB 3.0. When connecting via an
older USB standard, please also use the provided USB 3.0 cable.
iPower supply under USB 2.0: If your USB 3.0 hard disc is not recognized on
your PC with a USB 2.0 connection, this could probably be caused by the
power supply. In this case, please connect an USB hub with an external
power supply.
b) Your operating system automatically recognizes the DataStation
and adds the DataStation as a "loCAl Disk" (or "loCAl Drive") to
"myComputer"/"Computer" (Microsoft Windows) or "Desktop"
(Mac OS X and Linux). Your DataStation is shown as "TREKSTOR".

7) Data exchange
Windows® 8.1 / 8 / 7 / Vista® / XP
a) Select the desired files or folders with your mouse.
b) Position the mouse pointer over the selected files or folders, and press
the right mouse button. Select "Copy" from the context menu that appears.
c) Under "myComputer"/"Computer", select the desired target
(such as the "trekstor" drive).
d) Click it with your right mouse button, and select "pAste" to start copying.
After copying is completed, the data will be available on the target drive.
iYou can also copy files with "Drag & Drop".
Mac® OS X® 10.6 or above
Select the desired files with your mouse. Drag and drop the files in the
"finDer" to the drive symbol of your DataStation.
iYour DataStation has been preformatted with the high-performance file
system NTFS. This file system is optimized for use with Microsoft Windows
operating systems from Windows XP and also works great with modern
Linux operating systems. If you use Mac OS X, it is necessary that you use
a different file system. You can easily reformat your DataStation with a
different file system using the "Disc Utility" of Mac OS X. You have the choice
between the file system "HFS+" ("Mac OS Extended"), which is optimized for
use with Mac OS X, and the file system "FAT32", which permits the exchange
of data with Windows operating systems.
8) Logging off and disconnecting the DataStation from
the computer
Windows 8.1 / 8 / 7 / Vista / XP
At the bottom right on the task bar, left-click on the icon "sAfely remove HArDwAre".
In the context menu that appears, left-click on "sAfely remove mAss storAge
DeviCe - Drive" to select it. This removes the DataStation from the operating system
of your computer. You can now disconnect the DataStation from your computer.
Mac OS X 10.6 or above
You need to remove the drive from the Desktop before you disconnect it or
turn it off. Click on the relevant drive icon, and drag it to the trash icon.
iPlease follow the recommended logoff procedure to prevent damage to the
device or data loss.

In questo caso, scollegare l’apparecchio dalla porta USB e ricollegarlo.
oSi consiglia di evitare l’impiego di cavi USB con una lunghezza superiore ai 3 m.
qLa capacita di memoria dell’hard disk esterno indicata dal sistema
operativo puo differire dalla capacita effettiva. Come la maggioranza dei
produttori di hardware, per indicare la capacita di memoria TrekStor
utilizza i prefissi per le unita stabiliti dal Sistema internazionale di
unita di misura (SI) (ad es. 1 GB = 1.000.000.000 byte). Tuttavia, numerosi
sistemi operativi non rispettano queste indicazioni e mostrano una
capacita di memoria inferiore, dato che alla base dei loro calcoli
1 GB = 2 byte = 1.073.741.824 byte.
iNon muovere il dispositivo finché il disco rigido integrato è attivo,
altrimenti si possono danneggiare o perdere i dati. Utilizzare il
dispositivo su una superficie stabile e in orizzontale.

6) Collegamento al computer
a) Collegare la porta USB 3.0 della DataStation alla porta USB 3.0 del computer.
Si prega di usare esclusivamente il cavo di collegamento USB 3.0 in dotazione.
iGrazie alla retrocompatibilità dell'USB 3.0 si può collegare la DataStation
anche con una porta USB 2.0 o USB 1.1 del computer, in tal caso però non
sarete in grado di usufruire dalla velocità maggiore di trasmissione, che la
DataStation è in grado di raggiungere con un collegamento USB 3.0. Usare
comunque il cavo di collegamento USB 3.0 in dotazione.
iApprovvigionamento elettrico con USB 2.0: Se il Suo disco fisso USB 3.0 non
dovesse essere riconosciuto in un computer con un collegamento USB 2.0,
ciò potrebbe dipendere dall’approvvigionamento elettrico. In questo caso la
preghiamo di collegare un hub USB ad un approvvigionamento elettrico esterno.
b) Il sistema operativo riconosce automaticamente la DataStation e la
aggiunge alla "workstAtion"/"risorse Del Computer" (Microsoft Windows)
o al "Desktop" (Mac OS X e Linux) come "DisCo loCAle" (o "unità loCAle").
La DataStation sarà "TREKSTOR".

a) Evidenziare i file o le cartelle desiderati con il mouse.
b) Posizionare il mouse sui file o sulle cartelle selezionate e fare clic con
il pulsante destro del mouse. Selezionare l'opzione "CopiA" dal menu
contestuale che viene visualizzato sullo schermo.
c) In "risorse Del Computer"/"Computer"/"Desktop", selezionare il percorso
desiderato (ad es. l'unità "trekstor").
d) Premere il pulsante destro del mouse e selezionare l'opzione "inCollA"
per avviare il processo di copia. Una volta completato il processo di
copia, i dati saranno disponibili sull'unità di destinazione.
iSi possono copiare i file anche tramite "Drag & Drop".
Mac® OS X® 10.6 o più moderni
Evidenziare i file desiderati con il mouse. Trascinare i dati con la funzione
Drag and Drop in "finDer" sul simbolo della periferica della propria
DataStation.
iIl vostro DataStation è stato preformattato con il file system ad alte
prestazioni NTFS. Questo file system è ottimizzato per l'uso con i sistemi
operativi Microsoft Windows a partire da Windows XP e funziona molto
benissimo anche i sistemi operativi Linux più recenti. Se usate Mac OS X,
dovete usare un file system differente. Potete facilmente riformattare il vostro
DataStation con un differente file system usando la "Disc Utility" di Mac
OS X. Potete scegliere tra il file system "HFS+" ("Mac OS Extended"), che è
ottimizzato per l'uso con Mac OS X, ed il file system "FAT32", che permette lo
scambio dati con i sistemi operativi Windows.

8) Disattivazione e disconnessione di DataStation dal computer
Windows 8.1 / 8 / 7 / Vista / XP
In basso a destra sulla barra delle applicazioni, fare clic con il pulsante sinistro
del mouse sull'icona "rimozione oeliminAzione Dell'HArDwAre". Dal menu contestuale
visualizzato selezionare la voce "rimozione periferiCA Di ArCHiviAzione Di mAssA usb"
facendo clic con il pulsante sinistro del mouse. In tal modo, DataStation
viene rimosso dal sistema operativo del computer. A questo punto è
possibile scollegare la DataStation dal PC.
Mac OS X 10.6 o più moderni
È necessario rimuovere la periferica dal Desktop prima di scollegarla o disattivarla.
Per eseguire questa operazione, fare clic sull'icona della periferica e spostarla
sull'icona del cestino.
iPer evitare danni alla periferica o eventuali perdite di dati, attenersi al
processo di rimozione suggerito!

1) Información general

Consulte estas instrucciones y entrégueselas al nuevo propietario en caso de

Utilizar el aparato únicamente para los fines previstos (consulte el capítulo
3). El fabricante no asumirá ninguna responsabilidad por usos indebidos
del aparato. Además, el fabricante tampoco será responsable por daños o
pérdidas de datos y los daños derivados de ello.

2) Indicaciones de uso y de seguridad
aAtención: No cubra el dispositivo durante el funcionamiento o el proceso de carga. Esto generará sobrecalentamiento.
aAtención: Si el dispositivo se humedece, apaguelo de inmediato.
Entregue la unidad para la operación segura antes de usarla de nuevo.
dSolo personas cualificadas pueden realizar trabajos tecnicos con el producto. El producto no debe de estar abierto ni se deben
realizar modificaciones en el. El usuario no puede realizar el
mantenimiento de los components.
eNo exponga el aparato a la humedad, agua de condensacion ni lo moje.
jProteja el aparato de temperaturas extremas y cambios bruscos de temperatura. Utilicelo unicamente en un intervalo de temperaturas
de ambiente de entre 10° C y 40° C.

mNo aproxime el aparato a fuentes de calor y protejalo de la luz solar directa.
hUtilice y guarde el aparato en un ambiente lo mas libre de polvo posible.
gNunca limpie la superficie del aparato con disolventes, diluyentes, detergentes u otros productos quimicos. Utilice en su lugar un pano
suave y seco o un pincel suave.
pSi expone el aparato a una descarga electrostatica, es possible
que la transferencia de datos entre el equipo y el ordenador este
interrumpida y/o se estropee alguna funcion del aparato. En tal caso
desconecte el aparato del puerto USB y vuelva a conectarlo.
oNo se recomienda utilizar cables USB de mas de 3 m de longitud.
qLa capacidad de almacenamiento de un disco duro externo que
indica su sistema operativo puede diferir de la capacidad real. Para
indicar la capacidad de almacenamiento, TrekStor utiliza, como la
mayoria de los fabricantes de hardware, los prefijos del Sistema
Internacional de Unidades (SI) (p. ej. 1 GB = 1.000.000.000 bytes).
Sin embargo, muchos sistemas operativos no se atienen a esta
regal y muestran una capacidad de almacenamiento inferior, ya que
realizan el calculo en base a 1 GB = 2 bytes = 1.073.741.824 bytes.
iNo mueva el equipo mientras el disco duro integrado esté activo.
Esto podrá ocasionar pérdida de datos o daños en el disco duro.
Opere el equipo en un área estable. Controle de usarlo en forma
horizontal.

El DataStation pocket pace 3.0 es un disco duro externo con una interfaz de
USB 3.0 para el archivo de datos.
