This pressurewasher operatesat 2,600 PSI(179.3 BARS)
and a flow rateof 2.3 gallons per minute (8.7 liters per
minute). This high quality residential system features
10" (25.4 cm) wheels, axialcam pump with stainless steel
pistons, automatic cool down system, detergent siphoning
system, quick connect spray tips, heavyduty 25' (7.6 m)
hose, and more.

Assembly
Read entireoperator'smanualbeforeyou attempt
toassemble or operateyournewpressurewasher.
Your pressure washer requires some assembly and is ready
for useafter it has beenproperly serviced with the
recommendedoil and fuel.
If you haveanyproblems with the assemblyof your pressure
washer, pleasecall the pressurewasher helpline at
(888} 611-6708. If calling for assistance, pleasehavethe
model, revision, and serial number from the identification
label available.
UnpackPressureWasher
1. Removethe parts bag,accessories, and inserts
included with pressure washer.
2. Opencarton completely by cutting eachcorner from
top to bottom.
3. Ensureyou haveall included items prior to assembly.

To prepare yourpressurewasherfor operation,youwill
need toperformthesetasks:
1. Fill out and send in registration card.
2. Attach handle,cleaningtank and accessorytray to main
unit.
3. Connectdetergent siphon hoseto pump.
4. Add oil to engine crankcase.
5. Add fuel to fuel tank.
6. Connecthigh pressure hoseto spray gun and pump.
7. Connectwater supply to pump.
8. Attach nozzleextensionto spray gun.
9. Select/attachquick connect spray tip to nozzle
extension.
Attach Handle, Cleaning Tank and Accessory Tray
1. Placehandle (A) onto handle supports (B) connectedto
main unit. Makesure holes (C) in handle align with
holes (C) on handlesupports.
NOTE:It may be necessaryto move the handle supports
from sideto side in order to align the handle so it will slide
over the handle supports.
2. Placecleaningtank (D) over holes (E) on handle
(viewing from rear of unit). Pushtree clips (F) into top
holes until they sit flat against cleaning tank.

NOTE:Makesure detergentshut-off valve and detergent
siphoning tube is facing down when installing cleaningtank.
3. Insert carriage bolts (G) through bottom holesof the
handle, handlesupports and cleaningtank from front of
unit and attacha plastic knob (H)from rear of unit.
Tighten by hand.

4. Placeaccessorytray (J) over holes (K) on handle
(viewing from front of unit). Pushthe tree clips (L) into
the holes until they sit flat against the accessorytray.

.Insert spray gun holder wireform (A) through hole on
left side of handle(viewing from front of unit). Hold
wireform in placeand attacha plastic knob (B) from
inside of unit. Tighten by hand.
Add Engine Oil and Fuel
•Placepressure washer on a levelsurface.
• Refer to engine operator's manual and follow oil and
fuel recommendationsand instructions.
6. Insert multi-colored spray tips and other supplied
accessoriesin spacesprovided in accessorytray. See
How to UseAccessory Tray.
Attach Detergent Siphon Hose to Pump
Attach detergent siphon hose (C)to barbed hose fitting (D)
on pump.
NOTICE Anyattempt to crank or start the engine before it
has beenproperly filled with the recommendedoil will
result in equipment failure.
•Refertoenginemanualfor oilandfuelfill information.
• Damageto equipmentresultingfromfailuretofollowthis
instructionwillvoidwarranty.
NOTE:Checkoil often during engine break-in. Referto
engine operator's manualfor recommendations.

ConnectHoseandWaterSupplyto Pump
NOTICE DONOTrun the pump without the water supply
connectedand turned on.
• Damagetoequipmentresultingfrom failuretofollowthis
instructionwillvoidwarranty.
NOTE:Removeand discard the shipping caps from the
pump's high pressure outlet and water inlet before attaching
hoses.
1. Uncoil high pressure hoseand attachoneend of hose
to baseof spray gun. Tighten by hand.

• NEVERconnect high pressure hoseto nozzleextension.
• Keephigh pressure hose connectedto pump and spraygun
while system is pressurized.
• Always be certain spray gun, nozzlesand accessoriesare
correctly attached.
2. Attach other end of high pressure hoseto high
pressure outlet on pump. Tighten by hand.
3. Beforeconnecting garden hoseto water inlet, inspect
inlet screen (A). Cleanscreen if it contains debris or
haveit replacedif damaged.DONOTrun pressure
washer if inlet screen is damaged.
4. Run water through your garden hosefor 30 secondsto
cleanout anydebris.
IMPORTANT:DONOTsiphon standing water for the water
supply. UseONLYcold water (less than 100°F (38°C)).
NOTICE Using a OneWayValve (vacuum breakeror check
valve) at pump inlet cancause pump or inlet connector
damage.
• ThereMUSTbeatleasttenfeetof unrestrictedgardenhose
betweenthepressurewasherinletandanydevice,suchasa
vacuumbreakeror checkvalve.
• Damageto equipment resulting from failure to follow this
instruction will void warranty.
5. Connectthe garden hose (not to exceed50 feet (15 m)
in length) to the water inlet. Tighten by hand.

• Always wear indirect vented (chemicalsplash) safety goggles
markedto comply with ANSIZ87.1 when using or in vicinity of
this equipment.
• NEVERsubstitute safety glasses or dry-condition goggles for

6. Turn ONthewater, press red button (B) on the gun and
squeezethetrigger to purgethe pump system of air and
impurities.
ChecklistBeforeStarting Engine
Reviewthe unit's assembly to ensureyou haveperformed all
of the following.
1. Be sureto readthe OperatorSafetysection and Howto
Use Your Pressure Washerin Operationsection before
using pressurewasher.
2. Make sure handle is in placeand secure.
3. Checkthat oil hasbeen addedto proper levelin the
engine crankcase.
4. Add proper fuel to fuel tank.
5. Checkfor properly tightened hoseconnections.
6. Checkto make sure there are no kinks, cuts, or damage
to high pressure hose.
7. Provide a proper water supply at an adequateflow.

Placepressure washer outdoors in an area that will not
accumulate deadlyexhaustgas. DONOTplacepressure
washer where exhaustgas (A) could accumulate and enter
inside or be drawn into a potentially occupiedbuilding.
Ensureexhaustgas is kept awayfrom anywindows, doors,
ventilation intakes, or other openingsthat can allow exhaust
gasto collect in aconfined area. Prevailingwinds and air
currents should be taken into considerationwhen positioning
pressure washer.

How to Start Your Pressure Washer
To start your pressure washer for thefirst time, follow these
instructions step-by-step. This starting information also
applies if you havelet the pressure washer sit idle for at least
a day.
1. Placepressure washer near an outside water source
capableof supplying water at a flow rategreaterthan
3.3 gallons per minute (12.5 liters per minute) and no
less than 20 PSI (1.38 BARS)at pressure washer end
of garden hose. DONOTsiphon supply water.
2. Checkthat high pressure hoseis tightly connectedto
spray gun and pump. SeeAssembly section.
3. Make sure unit is in a level position.
4. Connectgarden hoseto water inlet on pressurewasher
pump.
NOTICE DONOTrun the pump without the water supply
connectedand turned on.
• Damagetoequipmentresultingfrom failuretofollowthis
instructionwillvoidwarranty.
5. Turn ONwater, point spray gun in a safe direction,
press red button and squeezetrigger to purge pump
system of air and impurities.
6. Attach nozzleextensionto spray gun. Tighten by hand.

How to Stop Your Pressure Washer

CheckDetergentSiphoning Tube
Examinethe detergent tank and detergent siphoning tube
and clean if clogged. The tube should fit tightly on the
barbed fitting of the pump and detergent shut-off valve.
Examinethe tube for leaks or tears. Replacethe tank or tube
if either is damaged.
CheckSprayGun
Examinethe hose connection to the spray gun and make
sure it is secure.Test thetrigger by pressingthe red button
and making sure the trigger "springs back" into placewhen
you releaseit. Youshould not be able to press the trigger
without pressing the red button. Replacespray gun
immediately if it fails any of these tests.
Nozzle Maintenance
A pulsing sensationfelt while squeezingthe spray gun
trigger may be caused by excessivepump pressure. The
principal causeof excessivepump pressure is a spray tip
clogged or restricted with foreign materials, such asdirt, etc.
To correct the problem, immediately cleanthe spray tip
following these instructions:
1. Shut off engine and turn off water supply.
2. ALWAYSpoint spray gun in a safe direction, press red
button and squeezespray gun trigger to release
retainedhigh water pressure.

Sediments or minerals can deposit on pump parts and freeze
pump action. Follow these procedures after every use:

black spray tip. Flush for one to two minutes.
2. Shut off engine, turn off water supply, point gun in a
safe direction, press red button and squeezetrigger to
relievetrapped pressure, and let engine cool.

Winter Storage

To protect theunit fromfreezingtemperatures:
1. Empty cleaningtank asfollows:
a. Disconnect hoseconnectedto injection fitting on
pump. Placeend of hose into suitable container.
b. Rotatedetergent shut-off valve to "On" position and
open the tanks cover. Gravitywill empty tank
contents into container.
c. Reconnect hose to injection fitting on pump. Add
0.5 quart of cleanfresh water to cleaningtank and
close tanks cover.
2. Flush detergent system by turning its detergent shut-off
valveto "On" position and run pressurewasher with
black spray tip. Flush until tank is empty. Turn its
detergent shut-off valveto "Off" position.
3. Follow steps 2-5 in the previous section After EachUse.
4. Use pump saver, Model 6039, to treat pump. This
minimizes freezedamageand lubricates pistons and
seals.
5. If pump saver is not available,connect a 3-foot (1 m)
section of garden hoseto water inlet adapter. Pour
RV-antifreeze(antifreezewithout alcohol) into hose.
Pull recoil handle twice. Disconnect3-foot (1 m) hose.
6. Store unit in a clean, dry area.
LongTerm Storage
If you do not plan to usethe pressure washer for morethan
30 days,you must preparethe engine and pump for long
term storage.
ProtectFuelSystem
FuelAdditive:
Fuelcan becomestale when stored over 30 days.Stalefuel
causesacid and gum deposits to form in the fuel system or
on essentialcarburetor parts. To keepfuel fresh, use Briggs
& Stratton FRESHSTART® fuel stabilizer, availableasa
liquid additive or a drip concentrate cartridge.
Thereis no needto drain gasolinefrom the engine if a fuel
stabilizer is added according to instructions. Runthe engine
for 2 minutes to circulate the stabilizerthroughout the fuel
system. The engine andfuel canthen be stored up to
24 months.
If gasoline in the engine hasnot beentreated with a fuel
stabilizer, it must be drained into an approvedcontainer. Run
the engine until it stops from lack of fuel. Theuse of afuel
stabilizer in the storage container is recommendedto
maintain freshness.
Storing the Engine

properly preparethe engine for storage.
Protectingthe Pump
To protect the pump from damagecaused by mineral
deposits or freezing, use PumpSaver,Model 6039, to treat
pump. This preventsfreezedamageand lubricates pistons

not includedwith the pressure washer. Contactthe nearest
authorized servicecenter to purchase PumpSaver.
