1. Introduction
This manual is intended for users of the Trust Wireless Alarm System 200SA. In case of doubt, consult one
of the Trust Customer Care Centres. The last page of this manual contains more information about these
Customer Care Centres.
With the Trust Wireless Alarm System 200SA you can secure your home or office in a simple manner. Using
the 433MHz radio frequency (RF) technology you do not need to install any wires. You need only install the
wireless motion detectors and hang magnetic contacts in the rooms you wish to secure. Next, you will set
your own home code, after which the system is ready for use.
The alarm centre also has a built-in telephone selector, which makes automatic calls to pre-programmed
telephone numbers in case of alarm. You can enter 6 telephone numbers for voice communication.
As an addition to the components that are included with this alarm centre it is also possible to add an
unlimited number of extra wireless motion detectors and wireless magnetic contacts from the Trust 200
series. You can secure several rooms via the same alarm system with this. It is also possible to purchase
several remote controls for your housemates.

2. Safety
2.1 General
1. Do not use the device in damp environments such as bathrooms, swimming pools etc.
2. Do not try to repair the device yourself.
3. Under the following circumstances have the device repaired by qualified personnel:
a) The cable or plug is damaged or worn;
b) Liquid has entered the device;
c) The device has fallen and/or the casing has been damaged;
4. Position the device so that the cables cannot be damaged.
2.2 Batteries
1. If you wish to use a back-up battery in your alarm centre:
Only insert rechargeable batteries of the type NI-CAD AA3 1.2V/700mAH in the battery compartment of
the alarm centre. These are used as back-up power if the electricity goes out, and are automatically
charged when the power is on.
2. The batteries of the PIR motion detector, the magnetic window/door switch and the remote control are
not rechargeable. Do not try to recharge these batteries. This may cause danger of explosion.
3. Do not throw the batteries into an open fire. The batteries may explode.
4. Never drill a hole in the batteries.
5. Keep the batteries out of the reach of small children.
6. When the batteries are empty, ask your local government where you can recycle them.
2.3 Interference
If another user in your vicinity operates a similar device with exactly the same channel settings, there is a
theoretical possibility that your alarm system will respond to the other system. In that case, change the
channel settings by setting another home code. You have a choice of more than 6500 different codes.

3. Function description
Before you install the alarm system, you must first become familiar with the functions of the various
components of the alarm system. See the chapters below for the function description of the various
components:
3.1 Alarm centre
The alarm centre (receiver) is the “heart” of your alarm system and has a built-in siren and telephone
selector. The receiver converts the incoming signals from the detectors into an alarm signal. The alarm
central can be operated with the keyboard or very simply with the remote control.
Several alarms such as external sirens and flashing lights can be connected to the centre.
A rechargeable battery can be incorporated and will ensure that the system continues to function normally if
the power happens to go out. A built-in battery charger ensures that the battery remains charged.

Function Description
AKeyboard For programming the security code, the reset functions and operating
the entire system.
B7 Segment display Presents an indication of different functions of the alarm system.
CPanic button Button to immediately activate the alarm in case of emergency.
DPower LED Goes on when the system is connected to the power adapter or the
rechargeable batteries.
EMemory LED Starts to blink when one of the secured zones has transmitted a signal
to the centre, or when it is waiting when reading the home code.
FLow battery voltage
LED
Starts to blink at the same time with zone LED to indicate that the
battery voltage of a sensor in a certain zone is low.
GCompletely switched
on LED
Starts to blink when the delay time is switched on and then will go on
when the system is completely on.
HHome mode LED Goes on when the system is switched to the home mode. In the
selected free zones of the home mode, the transmitters (wireless
motion detector, magnetic contact, etc.) are switched off, so you can
walk around freely. The other zones are activated.

Function Description
IBuilt-in siren Makes noise when the alarm goes off. A microphone has been built in
next to this siren for the telephone selector.
J3 Zone LEDs Zone 1, 2 or emergency LED starts to blink when an alarm goes off in
the pertinent zone.

Zone 1: zone with 30-second switch-on and off delay
Zone 2: home mode zone, switch-on and off delay and immediate
activation programmable
Zone 3: 24-hour zone and panic alarm. (24-hour zone for sabotage,

Note: In order to prevent problems in case of power failure using
the rechargeable batteries is recommended.
Note: Do not insert any normal alkaline batteries. The built-in
battery charger may damage these.
The alarm centre can be expanded to an unlimited extent with the following wireless transmitters:
3.2 Motion detector (Trust Wireless Motion Detector 200DM)
For securing entire rooms. The motion detector has a detection angle of 110º. The detector responds to
sudden temperature changes within its detection area. As soon as a person walks into the detection area, the
motion detector transmits a signal to the alarm centre. The motion detector is protected from sabotage and is sold
with a 9V alkaline battery.

Function Description
ALED Goes on in test mode when a signal has been transmitted, as soon as
motion has been detected. The LED stays off in the ‘On’ mode.
BPassive Infra Red
(PIR) sensor
For detecting persons within the secured area.
CTest / On modes
switch
Switch to test mode in order to test the detection range of the PIR.
Switch to the ON mode for normal use.
3.3 Magnetic contact (Trust Wireless Alarm Switch 200DS)
For securing windows and doors. As soon as the contact is broken, so if a window or door is opened, the
magnetic contact will transmit a signal to the alarm centre. The magnetic contact is also equipped with a
panic button in order to be able to activate the alarm in case of emergency. The magnetic contact is
protected from sabotage and is sold with a 9V alkaline battery.

Function Description

3.4 Remote control (Trust Wireless Remote Controller 200RC)
The alarm system can be entirely operated with the enclosed remote control. Several remote controls can be
used. This is handy when more than one person (housemates, for example) must be able to operate the
alarm system.
For a summary of the various functions of the remote control, see figure 4 and the table below:

Function Description
ALED Goes on when a signal is transmitted after pressing one of the buttons
or when the battery voltage is low.
BPanic button Button for activating the alarm directly in case of emergency.
CCompletely on / off
button
Button for switching on the alarm system completely, or for switching
off the ‘Completely On’ mode or ‘Home mode’. (All LEDs will go on for
0.5 seconds and then start blinking while the entire system is switched
on).
DHome / Lock-up button ‘Home mode’ means partially switching on the alarm system. In this
manner a motion free zone can be created in your security installation.
(For example: You are home, sleep on the 1st floor, only the detectors
on the ground floor are activated.)
Zone 2 is the standard at home mode setting. When you press the
‘Home’ button, the home mode of the alarm system will be switched on
or off (all zone LEDs except for the home mode LEDs go on for 0.5
seconds when switching on).
Keep the button pressed down for 2 seconds to switch the keyboard
lock of the alarm centre off or on.
The 7-segment display presents the following when the lock is switched

4. Installation
Before installing the alarm centre you must first install the wireless accessories (motion detector, magnetic
contact, etc.) and set the zone and home code of every accessory. This is because the alarm centre
automatically detects and programs the home code at the first activation.
4.1 Setting the home code
Exactly the same home code must be set for all wireless accessories you want to use with your alarm centre,
giving your alarm system 1 single home code. Only the components with this single code can communicate
with each other.
You can set your single home code with the 8-point DIP switch within the wireless motion detector, wireless
magnetic contact and the remote control by setting the DIP switches 1 through 8 in the “+”, “o” or “-“ position.
4.2 Setting the zone
You can assign every wireless accessory its own zone. In this way you can see immediately on your alarm
centre where any alarm originates. See the table below for the possible zone settings with the 3-point DIP
switch of the motion detector and magnetic contact:

4.3 Wireless motion detector installation

For installation of the wireless motion detector follow the steps below:
1. Remove the front protector plate of the motion detector with a small coin or screwdriver by placing it
between the edge of the front and rear protector plates and clicking the plate loose.
2. Set your home code with the 8-point DIP switch (B) (see figure 6). You can pick a random setting. Do
make sure that all wireless sensors and remote controls have the same code.
3. Set the zone you want to assign to the motion detector with the 3-point DIP switch (C). Also set optional
on switch delay and beep. For the possible settings, see chapter 4.2.
4. Set the response speed of the motion detector with jumper (E):
a) Pin 1-2 connected: 1 pulse (normal, the motion detector transmits an alarm signal at the first detection
of motion)
b) Pin 2-3 connected: 3 pulses (less chance of false alarm, the motion detector does not transmit an
alarm signal until it has detected motion for the third time).
5. Connect the enclosed 9V alkaline battery to the battery plug.
6. Click the front protector plate of the motion detector back into place.
7. Loosen the foot on the rear of the motion detector by lifting the lip and sliding the foot up.
8. Attach the foot to the wall with the screws and plugs provided.
Note: For optimum operation placing the motion detector in the corner of the room about 2 meters above
the floor is recommended.
9. Click the motion detector back onto the foot.
10. Set the test/on mode switch (D) to the test mode to test the detection range of the PIR sensor (A), the
LED will go on in case of detection. Set the switch to the ‘On’ position for normal use.
4.3.1 Important information for installation:
1. Only install the motion detector indoors.
2. Do not install the motion detector directly facing a window or in direct sunlight.
3. Do not install the motion detector facing an air conditioner, fan or radiator heater.
4. Do not suspend the detector from a metal fence or metal wall; these can reduce the transmission range.
5. Do not install the motion detector in a damp environment such as a bathroom.

4.4 Wireless magnetic contact installation

For installation of the wireless magnetic contact follow the steps below:
1. Remove the cover of the magnetic contact with a small coin or screwdriver by placing it between the
edges of the cover (A) and clicking it loose. See figure 7.
2. Set your home code with the 8-point DIP switch (B). You can select a random setting. Do make sure that
all wireless sensors and remote controls have the same code.
3. Set the zone you want to assign to the magnetic contact with the 3-point DIP switch (C). Also set optional
on switch delay and beep. For the possible settings, see chapter 4.2.
4. Mount the magnetic contact to the door frame or window frame with the screws enclosed (D-E, see figure
7).
5. Remove the protector plate of the magnetic block with a small screwdriver by lifting the lips of the plate
up.
6. Mount the magnetic block to the door or window as close to the magnetic contact as possible with the
screws enclosed (see figure 7) and click the protective plate of the magnetic block back into place.
Note: Place the magnetic block along the side of the panic button, even with the horizontal lines of the
housing. Place the magnetic block in such a manner that the distance between magnet and
contact is as short as possible (optimum is 0.5 cm, keep it shorter than 1.0 cm).
7. Connect the enclosed 9v alkaline battery to the battery plug and close the plate. If the door or window is
opened, the contact is broken and the transmitter transmits a signal to the alarm centre.
Note: If you cannot use screws in a certain situation to attach the magnetic contact, you can also use
double-side adhesive tape. However, this is not as good a mounting as screws as tape can come
loose and cause a false alarm.

For installation of the remote control follow the steps below:
1. Remove the rear protector plate of the remote control by loosening the 2 screws with a small screwdriver.
See figure 8.
2. Set your home code with the 8-point DIP switch (B). You can select a random setting. Do make sure that
all wireless sensors and remote controls have the same code.
3. Insert the enclosed 12V alkaline battery (A) in the battery compartment. See figure 8.
4. Screw the rear plate back into place.

Note: First install the accessories included (wireless motion protector, wireless magnetic contact, etc.),
before installing the alarm centre. Also make sure that the magnetic contact is closed (door or
window closed).
For installation of the alarm centre follow the steps below:
1. Remove the top protector plate by loosening the screw (A) with a screwdriver. See figure 9.
2. Connect the AC 12V plug of the enclosed power adapter to the power connection (B).
3. Run the power adapter cable through the slot at the rear of the alarm centre. See figure 9. Maintain some
slack in the cable in the centre to prevent the connection from coming loose.
4. Connect the enclosed telephone cable to the power connection (E). See figure 9.
5. Insert the enclosed telephone cable though the slot at the back of the alarm centre and connect the other
end of the telephone cable (H) to the telephone wall jacket (G).
Note: Only for analogous telephone lines. Do not connect the system to digital lines, such as ISDN and
ADSL lines.
Note: If you connect the alarm centre to a telephone switchboard, it may be possible that the alarm
system can no longer dial when the power fails because the telephone switchboard has stopped
functioning.
6. As an option, connect the cable of your analogous telephone to your telephone connection (D).
7. Insert the enclosed telephone cable though the slot at the back of the alarm centre and connect the other
end (I) to your analogous telephone.
8. Attach the alarm centre at the location selected with the enclosed screws and plugs.
9. Insert the plug (F) into the power outlet.
10. Check whether the ‘POWER’ LED is on. The ‘MEMORY’ LED will start to blink at the same time. See
figure 1.
11. Install the backup battery (not included):
Pull the battery holder (A) from the battery compartment. Place 6 AA 1.2V/700mAH Ni-CD rechargeable
batteries in the holder according to the instructions and replace the holder in the battery compartment.
See figure 9.
12. Screw the top plate back into place.

13. Learn the home code:
The alarm centre uses a technique that ‘learns’ the home code automatically. Therefore, there is no DIP
switch in the alarm centre. If you have set the same home code in the wireless motion detector, the
magnetic contact and the remote control, press the “Completely on/off button” (middle button) of the
remote control. The alarm centre then detects your home code and programs this into the memory.
14. Programming the home code is done when the ‘MEMORY’ LED changes from blinking to continuously
on.
4.6.1 Determining the best location for the alarm centre:
For the best reception, attach the alarm centre at a height of 1.5 to 1.8 meters above the floor. Placing the
alarm centre close to the main entrance of your home is recommended. This makes it easier for you when
you use the 30-second delay period (programmable), if you use the keyboard to completely switch your
system on or off.
5. Testing
5.1 Testing the wireless motion detector

For testing the detection range of the PIR motion detector follow the directions below:
1. Make sure that the home code is the same as that of the magnetic contact and the remote control.
2. Set the ‘Test/On’ switch to the ‘Test’ mode.
3. Allow the PIR motion detector to warm up for 1 to 3 minutes before you begin testing.
4. Set the alarm centre to the test mode; enter [your security code 4 digits] [*] [8] on your keyboard. See
chapter 6.1.
5. Walk through the secured area at a speed of 1 step per second right through the PIR beam and check
the LED of the motion detector. Every time you walk through a beam you will hear a beeping sound from
the alarm centre and the associated zone LED will go on.
6. The maximum range of motion detection of the motion detector is 12 to 15 metres. See figure 10. (In the
test mode, the motion detector needs 15 seconds to reset after transmitting a signal, so move every 15
seconds in front of the sensor when testing).
7. In order to switch off the alarm centre test mode, once again enter [your code 4 digits] [*] [8].
8. After testing set the ‘Test/On’ switch of the motion detector back to the ‘On’ stand. The LED of the motion
detector will not go on again.
If the wireless motion detector does not respond adequately when testing, you must move the detector or
adapt the direction of the sensor.

5.2 Testing the wireless magnetic contact.
1. Make sure that the home code is the same as that of the motion detector and the remote control.
2. Press the ‘Panic’ button of the magnetic contact. If the alarm goes off, the button is functioning correctly.
3. Set the alarm centre to the test mode; enter [your security code 4 digits] [*] [8] on your keyboard.
4. Break the magnetic contact by opening the door or the window. If the alarm centre makes a beeping
sound and the associated LED goes on, the magnetic contact is functioning correctly.
5. In order to switch off the alarm centre test mode, once again enter [your code 4 digits] [*] [8].
6. Use
6.1 Keyboard alarm centre
For the possible settings with the alarm centre keyboard, see the table below:
Code Description
Setting the first security code (4 digits): after
entering the code, you will hear 6 beeps as
confirmation. Example: you want to input security
code 1 2 3 4: [#][1][2][3][4][#]
Note: Remember this code well! You need this code
when switching the system on and off and for all
settings.
Note: If you do not enter a security code in the
beginning, you can use all codes below without first
entering the 4-digit code.
Removing the security code: Keep the “Home”
button (bottom button) pressed down for more than
10 seconds to delete the security code.
Changing the security code: After entering the
code, you will hear 6 beeps as confirmation.
Example: you want to input the new code 5 6 7 8:
[1] [2] [3] [4] [#] [5] [6] [7] [8] [#]
Switching on the alarm completely with the
keyboard: After entering the code, you will hear 6
beeps as confirmation. Example: the security code is
1 2 3 4.
Note: All LEDs go on for 0.5 seconds when switching
on the alarm in the ‘completely on’ mode.
Switching off the alarm completely with the
keyboard: Input the same code once more to switch
off the alarm. After entering the code you will hear 2
beeps as confirmation.
Switching on the alarm in the home mode: After
entering the code you will hear 6 beeps as
confirmation. The system is now partially switched
on.
Example: the security code is 1 2 3 4.
Note: Except for the switched off zone, all other
LEDs will go on for 0.5 seconds when the alarm is
switched on the ‘Home’ mode.

Code Description
Switching the home mode off again: Input the
same code once more for switching off the home
mode. After entering the code you will hear 2 beeps
as confirmation.
Setting the dial mode: Enter this code to switch the
phone selector between the “pulse” and “tone”
modes. For further information, please consult your
local telephone company.
The 7-segment display presents the following:
“tone” mode
“pulse” mode
The factory setting is “tone”.
Switching on test mode: Switch the system to test
mode if you want to test the wireless motion detector
and the wireless magnetic contact. You will hear 1
beep as confirmation of switching on.
The 7-segment display presents the following:
“test” mode, motion detectors and
magnetic contacts can now be tested.
Switching off the test mode: Enter the same code
once more to switch off the test mode. You will hear
2 beeps as confirmation.
Switching off alarm to replace batteries: Switch
the alarm off to replace the batteries of the wireless
motion detector and wireless magnetic contact. You
will hear 2 beeps when switching on this function and
1 beep when switching off this function (siren
functions normally again).
Switching the panic alarm sound off/on: Ensures
that the siren does not go off when pressing a panic
button. An automatic phone selector can call out with
silent alarm with this.
The 7-segment display presents the following:
“Sound on”, alarm system functioning
normally.
“Sound off”, siren does not go off when the
panic button is being pressed. For using
silent alarm (no siren, but automatic dialling
to alarm numbers).
The factory setting is “Sound on”.

Code Description
Recording and playing back voice messages:
Record short voice messages that are played back
automatically when calling the telephone numbers
you entered.
The 7-segment display presents the following:
“Recording”, enter [4-digit code] [REC] [1-4]
to record a voice message. After recording,
the message is played back once to check.
“Play back”, enter [code] [PLAY] [1-4] to
play back the recorded messages.
You can record 4 different messages, 3 short 2-
second messages and 1 14-second detailed
message. See the examples below:

[REC][3]: Emergency message (2-second recording)

[REC][4]: Detailed message with a report, for
example, of the home address and the owner’s
name, etc. (14-second recording)
for example: “this is the home of Mr. Van Zomeren,
the address is..., we need help”.
Telephone numbers for voice messages: You can
enter 6 different telephone numbers for voice
messages, which are called automatically when a
certain alarm is reported.
As soon as a number that is dialled is answered, the
alarm centre will play the selected taped voice
message 3 times and then call the subsequent
telephone number.
For every telephone number, first one of the 3 short
voice messages is played, followed by the detailed
voice message.
The person who is called can interrupt the automatic
voice message by pressing the “1” key on his
telephone. In that case the alarm system will proceed
to the next number immediately.

Code Description
Telephone numbers for pagers: Instead of the 6
numbers for voice messages you can also set the 6
numbers of group “T1” for calling a pager
Enter the page number at ‘Number’ and the number
you want to leave the receiver at ‘Code’, such as your
telephone number or the alarm system ID number.
See chapter 7 for further information.
Numbers for voice playback: Enter this code to
check the telephone numbers stored in group “T1”.
The telephone numbers 1-6 are presented in the 7-
segment display.
6.2 Resetting the alarm system
Follow the steps below if you want to reset the settings of your alarm system to the standard values:
1. Enter [*] [9].
2. Remove the power supply (power adapter and back-up batteries)
3. Keep the [#] key of the alarm system pressed in (do not let go of it until you are requested to do so)
4. Reconnect the power supply (power adapter and back-up batteries)
5. All LEDs will go on
6. Release the [#] key.
7. The “Memory” LED will start to blink as a confirmation of completion.
8. If the system is connected to the power supply, press the “Home mode” button of the remote control
(bottom button) to learn the home code. The “Memory” LED will go on.
9. Enter [*] [9].
10. Remove the top cover plate.
11. Press the “Home mode” button to reset the “Emergency LED” if it is blinking.
Note: Voice messages will not be deleted by the above procedure.

7. Setting telephone numbers
The possible telephone numbers are subdivided into 2 groups. The first group (T1) is for voice messages and
the second group (T2) is for digital communication.
Group T1 has 6 telephone numbers for voice messages. All 6 of these can also be used for pager
applications.
Note: The telephone numbers may not be longer than 24 digits.
7.1 Examples for setting telephone numbers
See the examples below of the possible telephone settings.
Note: The telephone numbers are only for reference, so must not literally be entered.
1. Setting cell phone number (number: 09035217)
2. Setting telephone number (number: 29186868)
3. Setting telephone number 29186868, when the alarm system is connected to a telephone switchboard
and a ”0” must be dialled to get the outside line.
4. Setting telephone number 33521828 with extension 23
Note: It is possible that you must enter more than one [*] for the extension number if the telephone
switchboard you are calling needs more time to forward your call. With the additional [*] you can
insert a longer pause.
5. Setting pager number 060456456 and you want to leave your telephone number 22183850 with the
recipient
