Chapter 3
3.3.1 Setting the system using the No-entry setting feature
To set the system using the No-entry setting feature, complete the following steps:
1. Ensure that the Ready indicator is on, and that the system is ready for setting.
2. Press [*] [9]. If it is necessary, enter an access code, or present a proximity tag to the keypad reader.
If the system bypasses a zone, a warning message appears on the keypad.
After you initiate the setting sequence, the system completes the following actions:
• The system flashes and has no entry delay.
• The keypad sounds with a fast beep.
• The system displays Exit Delay in Progress on the keypad.
When the Exit Delay timer expires, the system is set.
3.3.2 Canceling the setting sequence
To cancel the setting sequence, complete the following step:
• Enter your access code, or present a proximity tag to the keypad reader.
3.4 Silent Exit Delay
If the system is set using the Stay key or the No Entry Setting method [*][9]:
lThe warning beep is silenced.
lThe exit time is doubled for that exit period only (CP-01 versions only).
Note: For non CP-01 versions, Standard Exit Time is used.
3.5 Setting the System (Infinite Exit Delay)
In an attempt to reduce false alarms, your system is designed to send notification of an improper exit
when setting the system. When using the Push to Set, or Final Door Set feature, attempting to set the
system will start an infinite exit delay. The keypad will sound a beep once per second. When you have
opened and closed the final exit door, or after pressing the Push to Set button, the exit delay will be
reduced to the programmed value, which is typically 10 seconds, after which the alarm panel is set.
When this time expires, the system checks for detectors that may be open. If any of these are open, the
panel will cancel the setting. If this occurs, re-enter the premises, check the system, close any open
windows or doors, and then attempt to set again.
Note: This feature must be enabled by the installer.
3.6 Setting the system in Stay mode
Stay mode partially activates the alarm system by:
lSetting all perimeter sensors.
lBypassing all interior sensors.
To set the system in Stay mode, complete the following steps:
1. Ensure that you close all windows and doors.
2. Ensure that the Ready indicator is on.
3. Press and hold the Stay key for 2 seconds. If it is necessary, enter an access code, or present a
proximity tag.
Note: Do not leave the premises.
If the system bypasses a zone, a warning appears on the keypad.
After you initiate the setting sequence, the system completes the following actions:
• The Armed indicator turns on.
• The Ready indicator remains lit.
• The Exit Delay time begins counting down.
