1) Safe use of the Smart Segboard
UK Segboards hope that you can use this product safely and have fun
by using our Segboard in safe manner. Just think of it as learning to
ride a bicycle or drive a car, where practice is required to become a
safe user.
We strongly recommend you read this manual carefully and keep it for
future reference. Before you start to use your Segboard please check
for damage, missing or loose parts. If there are any issues, please
contact us immediately by emailing us on hi@uksegboards.co.uk

of information, including the speed limit indicator light warning and
safety shutdown.
Please do not modify any parts of the Segboard. This can affect
the performance of your Segboard as well as invalidating the
warranty. Any misuse or attempts to modify the Segboard can
result in serious harm or injury.
User Weight
The weight of the user is limited to the specification on
the packaging. The recommended maximum user
weight limit is 100kg. Any persons heavier than 100Kg
may risk injury by using the Segboard and may damage
the product as well as invalidating the warranty.
The minimum user weight is 20kg.
Smart Segboard range
The range of the smart Segboard is affected by a number of factors,
including:
Terrain: on a smooth and flat ground the range of the
Segboard will increase. On an uneven terrain, the range will
decrease.
Weight: User’s weight will affect the range of the Segboard.
Environment temperature: please refer to the specification
of the packaging for the recommended storage temperature.

Maintenance: reasonable charging and maintenance of the battery
can increase the range.
Speed and driving style: use at a medium speed to increase range.
Sudden acceleration and de-acceleration or stopping can
decrease the range of the battery and increase the risk of injury.

The speed limit
The maximum speed of the Segboard is 10-12 km/hour. When
attempting to use the Segboard over the maximum allowed speed, the
Segboard will send out an alarm and sustained use over the speed limit
may cause damage to the Segboard and increase the risk of injury.

2) Using a Smart Segboard
Step 1 –Start the Segboard by pressing the power switch on the back of
the Segboard.
Step 2 –Place both feet equally on the rubber pads, one foot at a time.
At this point we highly recommend you get someone to help you to
maintain balance and to ensure safe mounting on the board.
Step 3 –Maintaining a steady upright balance will ensure the Segboard
does not move. By leaning forward/backwards you are able to dictate its
direction and speed. You can stop the Segboard by returning to the upright
balance.
Step 4 –The Segboard can be directed left or right, simply by applying
more weight/pressure with your feet to the side you want the Segboard
to move.
Sharp steering and erratic use can result in injury.
The smart Segboard must NOT be used on an uneven surface.

3) The Smart Segboard Protection Function
During use of the smart Segboard, users are prompted of any issues
with the Segboard by way of the indication symbol appearing red next
to the battery light.
The following issues will cause a red light to appear on the Segboard
or the Segboard will make an alarm sound.
-The battery voltage is too low
-During charging
-When the maximum speed reached
-When the battery is low
-The smart Segboard rocking back and forth for more them 30
seconds continuously
-When tyres are locked
-When the battery voltage is lower than the protection value.
-Continued maximum current discharge, such as attempting to use
above the permitted slope and the maximum speed
simultaneously
WARNING!
If there is a problem with the Segboard, it will automatically lock and
will require you to manually unlock it.
Once the battery is completely discharged you are advised to safely
park the board immediately and do not continue its use as the lack of
power will result in the inability to keep the board stable, and thus
increase the risk of injury.
Continued use of the board when the battery is at minimum charge,
will affect the life of the battery and may also result in destabilising the
board and cause injury.
If the battery light appears red, then you will need to stop using
the Segboard and then recharge the Segboard to eliminate it to
cut off whilst you ride it, as this may cause serious injury.

9) Master Reset
CALIBRATING THE SEGBOARD
If the Segboard is making is sounding a continuous alarm or Red error
light is showing, then its sensors may need be tuned or reset. You need
to calibrate the device, which takes about 60 seconds. Follow these steps
to resolve the problem.
1. Make sure you do not press down on the foot pads during
calibration. This will cause permanent damage to the sensor
associated with the foot pad, and the part will need to be replaced.
Before calibration, press up and down on the foot pads to make
sure they are in the fully off position, which is fully horizontal and
parallel to the ground.
2. Perform calibration on ground that is as flat as possible. No hills, no
sloping driveways, no inclines. The best place to calibrate the
Segboard is indoors on a completely flat surface, but any flat ground
will do.
3. Align the two halves of the Segboard with each other. They should be
perfectly aligned and not twisted away from one another in any way.
4. Keep the halves aligned, make sure the Segboard is parallel with the
ground. The footpads should be flat and parallel with the ground.
5. Push and hold the power button for about 5 seconds. You will first

hear a single beep , but after a few seconds you will hear another
beep. At that time let go of the power button.
5. You will see the lights flash.
6. You will see all the lights turn off.
7. You will see a slow light sequence flash.
8. When you see the slow flash of the lights demo, calibration
is done. Turn off device.
11. Turn on device as per normal, the Segboard can be used as
normal.
You may need to calibrate the device every so often if you notice a
misalignment. You may also need to calibrate after you crash it into
something as the sensors get knocked and misaligned. We make sure
that we pre-calibrate each of our products before we ship them out, but
during transport the sensors may get knocked about and this may cause
misalignment.

10) Frequent Questions and Answers
1) If it doesn’t feel balanced under your feet?
Each wheel is connected to a separate motor. It is therefore important that
both motors must be synchronised with each other for a smooth ride. In
order to do that please follow the below instructions;

-Press the power button and keep it in pressing position. After a few
seconds, the lights will both start blinking
-Once the blinking stops, after one or two seconds they will be turned
on for a few seconds however they will be in steady state at this time.
They sync process is complete
-Switch off the device and turn it back on again. It is now ready to ride
-Please note: During the sync process keep the Segboard steady
as sliding/movement will affect the sync process.
2) How to use the Bluetooth for the Bluetooth Segboard?
Pair your phone with the board Bluetooth and play the music on your
phone.
