Introduction
I
Introduction
This document describes the standard specifications of the CC-Link I/F that links a PLC and F372A/
F377A.
By using the CC-Link I/F, the F372A/F377A can be controlled directly from the PLC, so that wiring can
be substantially reduced.
Readers this document should have basic knowledge of the programming of the PLC and basic knowledge
of the CC-Link I/F.
The F372A/F377A with CC-Link I/F can be linked with general-purpose PLC as a remote device station
corresponding to the CC-Link Ver. 1.10.
(CC-Link is an abbreviation for Control & Communication Link.)
Cautions and Requests for Use
- Be sure to install the F372A/F377A in a panel.
- Be sure to perform Type III earth works when installing the main body.
- Be sure to disconnect the power cable when performing the following.
- Attachment/detachment of connectors of options.
- Wiring/connection of cables to terminal blocks.
- Use shielded cables for the connection of strain gauge type sensor, displacement sensor,
External input and output or options.
- Do not disassemble the main body for modifications or repair.
- Use F372A/F377A with correct supply voltage.

3. F372A/F377A Setting
Occupied Station: Set the numbers of occupied stations as the remote device for
F372A/F377A.
Address map will be changed according to the numbers of stations.
Setting range: 1, 2, 4 stations
Initial value: 4 stations
Baud Rate: Setting communication speed.
Setting range: 156k, 625k, 2.5M, 5M, 10M
Initial value: 10M
Station No.: Setting slave station number. The setting range varies depending
on the setting of the number of occupied stations.
Setting range: No.1 to 64 (when occupied 1 station)
No.1 to 63 (when occupied 2 stations)
No.1 to 61 (when occupied 4 stations)
Initial value: 1

Measurement work selection: Select the method of specifying measurement work.
Control input selection: Select the method of specifying control (SECTION signal, T/H
signal, GRAPH TRIG signal) input.
Setting range: Communication
Specifying by external input is disabled, and
specifying by CC-Link is enabled.

specifying by external input is enabled.

How to set
4. Communication Connector
Each meaning of signal line represents each signal type as
follows: SLD and FG are connected inside.
Suitable plug for the connection is the plug made by WAGO
CO., Ltd. or equivalent one. (Accessories)

Settings of Mitsubishi (general-purpose) PLC CPU unit.
When you use Mitsubishi (general-purpose) PLC MELSEC-Q series, set up master
station network parameters as follows.
・CC-Link mode setting：Remote net Ver. 1 mode.
・Station type：Remote device station
(Station information settings →Station type)
Cautions
- Pick up the plug and operate the lever with a
thumb.
- For the protection from the damage, do not
operate the lever without removing the plug.

LED expresses the status of communication.
6. PLC Address
F372A/F377A enables to change the numbers of occupied stations by its setting.
Be careful the assignment of station number, double used station number is not available for PLC.
The address of remote (F372A/F377A) will be changed in accordance with the assignment of
station number.
Therefore, the address data of the F372A/F377A also changes according to Station No.
The following address map is in the state of Station No.1.

When the F372A/F377A is a unit at both ends, terminator resistance must be
installed. (Confirm with the CC-Link specifications.) At this time, when the DA and
DB signal lines and resistance are to be connected to the connector, be aware
that poor contact may result if the nipping conditions differ between the leg of the
resistance and signal lines. There is a possibility of abnormal operation.

Use for writing into each set value by using request flag 1.

Set HH, HI, LO, LL and Near zero.
If each digit is set the value of which is larger than 9, it is handled by setting it as 9 is set.

Name of Signal Meaning of Signal
Request flag 1 During write Setting value into Exclusive data area, the Output signal is ON, after
receiving Request flag 1 response, the signal goes OFF.
Request flag 2 During write Command into General purpose data area, the Output signal is ON, after
receiving Request flag 2 response, the signal goes OFF.
R/W
Set general-purpose command READ/WRITE. Set ON for READ (reading of various set
values), and set OFF for WRITE (writing of various set values, and operation
commands).
Measurement
WORK0 to 3 Indicate the work for the indicator to make comparisons. (4bit: 0 to 15)
D/Z Operate Digital Zero by ON edge.
D/Z reset Reset Digital Zero by ON edge.
T/H Control the hold function. (Refer to main operation manual.)
SECTION Control the hold function. (Refer to main operation manual.)
GRAPH TRIG Start graph plotting, and Stop. (Refer to main operation manual.)
Print command Print out to the Unipulse printer connected with SI/F by ON edge.
Display select (Comparison) Operate changing to Comparison Screen by ON edge.
Display select (Hold) Operate changing to Hold Screen by ON edge.
Display select (Graph) Operate changing to Graph Screen by ON edge.
Real time value select
OFF; Indicated value in data area is hold according to Hold Function.
ON; Indicated value in data area is actual indicated value (tracking value)
disregarding Hold Function.
(Valid only when occupies 2 stations or 1 station.)
Hold value select 0,1
Select the hold value to be output to the data area when the real time value select is OFF
(effective when two stations or one station is occupied).
Only “0” is ON: Hold value 1
Only “1” is ON: Hold value 2
“0” and “1” are ON: Hold value 3

Request flag 1 response After Setting value was written into Exclusive data area, Input signal is ON, while
confirmed Request flag 1 Output signal went OFF, it goes OFF.
Request flag 2 response After Command was written into General purpose data area, Input signal is ON, while
confirmed Request flag 2 Output signal went OFF, it goes OFF.
R/W response When Request flag 2 response signal goes ON, the R/W response signal goes the same
status as R/W Output signal.
CPU normal operation The signal is reversed between ON and OFF at approx. 1 second interval in Normal
operation.
Measurement
WORK0 to 3 response WORK comparing by F372A/F377A is indicated. (4bit: 0 to 15)

8. Setting Procedure
■Set value writing in the exclusive data area ( using request flag 1 )
Request flag 1 is used when Setting value is written in. The Setting value is written in at Request
flag ON edge when Request flag 1, 2 and Request flag response 1, 2 are OFF.
RWw0000 to RWw0009 when 4 stations occupied and RWw0000 to RWw0003 when 2 stations
occupied become Exclusive data area. It is stored in selected WORK by WORK No.
①Input Work No. to write to the Work No. area. Range: 0 to 15
②Set a value in all the corresponding set value area out of HH Limit, HI Limit, LO Limit and
LL Limit.（When 4 stations occupied）
③Make request flag 1 of the remote output 0→1.
④After confirming response flag 1 of the remote input 0→1, make request flag 1 of the remote
output from 1→0.
■ Set value writing and operation command in the general-purpose
data area (using request flag 2)
Turn OFF R/W when writing in Setting value and executing operation command. It is operated at
ON edge of Request flag 2 when Request flag 1, 2 and Request flag 1, 2 response are OFF.
RWw000C to RWw000D when 4 stations occupied and RWw0004 to RWw0005 when 2 stations
occupied become General purpose data area.
RWw000E when 4 stations occupied and RWw0006 when 2 stations occupied become Command
No. area.
RWw000F when 4 stations occupied and RWw0007 when 2 stations occupied become WORK No.
area.
It is stored in selected WORK by WORK No., when writing in setting value.
①Input Work No. to write to the Work No. area. Range: 0 to 15
②Input the command of the set value to be written in the Command area in the general-purpose
data area.
③Input the value to be written or to give an operation command to the data in the general
purpose area.
④Set R/W of the remote output to 0.
⑤Make request flag 2 of the remote output 0→1.
⑥After confirming response flag 2 of the remote output 0→1, make request flag 2 of
the remote output 1→0.
