Modem Installation

Modem Installation
We will be installing the USRobotics 5637
external modem.
To begin, insert the CD driver.
Select autorun.exe and select yes when the
dialogue box appears.

Select desired language and confirm the
License Agreement.

Select install modem

Select install and finish

Modem Installation
Plug the modem into the USB port.
Run Device Manager to make sure the
modem is installed.

Create a dial-up connection by going to the
control panel and selecting “view network
status and tasks.”

Dial-Up Connection
Select “Setup a new connection” and select
connect to the internet and click next

Dial-Up Connection
Select “Set up a new connection anyway” and
click “dial up.”

Dial-Up Connection
Input the information from your internet
service provider and click “connect.”

Dial-Up Connection
Select “skip.”

Dial-Up Connection
Select “close.”

Dial-Up Connection
Select change adapter settings

Dial-Up Connection
Right click on dial-up and drag it to your desktop.

Dial-Up Connection
Double left click on the shortcut.
Select “properties.”

Dial-Up Connection
Select “configure.”

Dial-Up Connection
Uncheck the boxes
Select “Ok” twice.
Dial-up can be used for any Linear
Telephone Entry system.

Dial-Up Connection
Input the phone number and select “dial.”

Programming
Open up your browser and go to the factory IP address of the unit you
are working with

You are now ready to program.
