service the phone.

2. The ear-piece houses a magnetic device whichmay attract pins or

4. Choose asite forthe phonethat is well-ventilated and dry.
5. Do not plugmultiple plug-packs into one poweroutlet. This may
result in theplugoverheating andmay result in afire orplug pack
failure.

9. Keep out of direct sunlight andaway from heat.
10. No user-serviceable parts inside. Do not insert ascrewdriver or any
metal objects into the phone. This may causeelectric shock or
damagetheequipment and will render the warranty void.
11. Clean thephone with a soft, dry clothonly. Donot use volatile
liquids such as petrol, alcohol, or acetone as this may causea fire or
result in discoloration ordamageto plastics. Donot cleanwith wax
or silicon products as these may enterthe equipment andcause

Edge 9200 series (shown)incorporate userinterfaceto provide you
with acost effective, simpletouse, productive communications tool.

Features andfunctions ofyourPhone areaccessed eitherusingthe
FixedorFlexible buttons orby selecting amenu item usingthe Soft
buttons.
Edge 9200 8-Button Phone does not support Soft buttonmenu.So
you have to assigntheFlexiblebuttonusingFeaturecode ifyou
need tobe operated.

The functions of button
Belowis a brief descriptionof the elementscalledout in theabove
Edge 9200 series Phone diagrams.
1. Ring/Message Indicator: Flashes when receiving anew
call oryouhave a new messagewaiting.
2. LCD Display: Displays your phonesstatus, dialing
directories, and text message information.
3. Handset: Useto answera call usingthe handset.
4. Speaker: Delivers ringing andothersignals, and lets you
hear the caller’s voce in speakerphone mode.
5. Dial pad buttons: Use to dial a number,select a menuitem,
or input a value.
6. Speakerphone button: Toggles the phonespeakerphone
on and off. The button illuminates whenthespeakerphone
is active or thephoneis inmenumode.
7. Volume control button: Use to adjust Ring, Headset,
Handset, andSpeaker volume.
8. Flexible buttons: Assigned as Lineor featureaccess
button.
Edge 9200 8-ButtonPhone has 8-flexible buttons.
Edge 9200 24-ButtonPhone has 24-flexible buttons.
Edge 9200 40-ButtonPhone has 2*12-flexible buttons.
9. Soft keys: Soft keys areinteractive, changing function
based on the status of Edge 9200 24-Button& 40-Button
Phone. Edge 9200 8-ButtonPhone does not supportSoft
keys.
10. Navigation key for Edge 9200 40-Button Phone
Left: Usetoselect theprevious group ofsoft keys when
◄appears in thebottom-left ofthe LCD.
Right: Use toselect thenext groupofsoft keys when ►
appears in the bottom-right ofthe LCD.
Up: Scrolls throughthe phone’s menu options upward.
Down: Scrolls through the phone’s menu options
downward.
OK: Selects thehighlighted choice when navigating
through amenu.

11. Fixed buttons
Edge 9200 8-ButtonPhone does not support some buttons:
Flash, Directory, and Headset amongthebelowbuttons.
Flash button: Use to seize the newline without on-hook. So
you can make a call bydialing the desired number.
Speed button: Use to assignyourspeeddial numbers. The
buttonalso deletes thelastcharacter of aninput inthe
menu mode suchas registering Station name.
Transfer/PGM button: Transfers thecurrent active call or
to enter programmingmode.
Directory button:Accessesyour private orpublic directory
for speed dialing.
DND (Do Not Disturb)/FWD button: Useto activate DND
so thatyour phonewill not ring. Use to allowyouto forward
all calls to another number by settingthecall forward type
(1~4).
Call Back button:WhentheMWI LEDindicatesyou have
a message, use to accessyourVoice Mailbox.
Mute button: Toggles audio from the microphoneto the
connectedparty on andoff.
Hold/Save button: Use toplace acall on Hold. Also, use to
access a held call. In menumode, itsaves your inputs.
Ear Mic. Headset button: Whenusinga EarMic. headset,
this buttontoggles the EarMic. headsetstate.Whenthe
EarMic. headset is active, thebuttonLEDilluminates
red.Or, press [PGM] +19andthenset ON.
1.3 DSS Console
The available DSS (Direct Station
Selection)console shows in figure
and described as follows:

StationSelection(DSS) has 48
flexible buttons with tri-color LED.

Edge 9200 series have 3 connection ports (refer to following figure).
Each port is for connectingto: Handset, Ear Mic. headset, andthe
linecable.
1) Connect thetelephonecord (curlycord) to the handset and
the other endtothe handset jack at thebottom ofthe
telephone.
2) Connect the linecableto the port at the bottom of telephone
and theotherend to the wallsocket.
3) Connect theEarMic. headset to the jack at thebottom ofthe
telephone. To useEarMic. function, press [PGM] +19and
thenset ON.

Information about compatibility headset
Wecan't guaranteeotherheadsets except the headset list
postedonthewebsite.
Regarding Headsetcompatibility, refer to"Headset list for IP
phone" onthe web site.
Wewill updatethecompatibility list if we finish testing the new
one anytime.
2.1 Wall Mount

LDP-9200 series phonescan bemounted onthewall as needed.
The following instructions describethe wall mount installation. Note
the foot-standmust be removed.
1. If installed, remove the
foot-standfrom thePhone
and DSS.
2. Connect all wiringto the
phone as describedin
“Phone connection”.
Connect the phoneside
wiring only.
3. If required, install the DSS
console.
4. Alignthewall-mount bracket (orderedseparately) over the
back ofthe phone, thenpress thebracket ontothephone
applyingsteady pressure until it clicks into place.
5. Install theDSSconsole wall-mount bracket if required, in the
same way as thebracket forthe phone.
6. Mark and drill two7mm holes for plastic wall anchors (not
included).
7. Insert thetwo anchors into the holes, andinsert andtighten the
twoscrews (not included) leaving about 2.5 mm (1/8-inch)
exposed.
8. Alignthekey holes in thebracket over the screws andslidethe
phone down assuringthephone is secure.
9. Remove, reverse and re-install the handset hooksothat the
hook catches thegroove in the handset receiver.
10. Hang thehandset up on the handset hook.
11. Complete all wiring connections as described in “Phone
connection”.
NOTE
It may be necessary to remove the phone and tighten or
loosen the screws for a secure mounting.

2.2 DSS (Direct Station Selection) Console
Installation
A DSSconsole can beinstalled with Edge9200 series phone.
As we described the available DSS for each phone, the available
DSS is as below:
Edge 9200 8-Button Phone: noDSS
Edge 9200 24-ButtonPhone: Edge 9200 48-ButtonDirect
StationSelection
Edge 9200 40-ButtonPhone: Edge9200 48-ButtonDirect
StationSelection
The DSSconsole should beinstalled on the phonepriortomaking
any connections tothe phone. This simplifies theinstallation.
To install DSS console:
1. First, assurethe
phone is NOT
connectedto
power. For
convenience,you
may wish to
remove the
handset andfoot-
stand; this
simplifies the DSS installation.
2. On theright sideof the phone, remove the DSS cover.
3. AligntheDSS and phone as showninthedrawing.
4. Push the DSS
into thephone
until the DSS is
fully engaged.
5. Insert thescrews
provided through
thescrewtabs in
theButton kit
and tightenthescrews into thephone. Donot over-tighten.
