Toimplementpiece-counting,thespecifiedsamplesareloadedonthebalance,andtheiraverageunit
weight(hereinafter,simplythe"unitweight")isenteredandsaved.Theprocedureforsavingunit
weightsiscalledsampling.
Thecountingprocedureconsistsofloadingarticlesthathavealreadybeensampledontothebalance.
Thenumberofpiecesisthencalculatedbydividingthetotalweightoftheloadedarticlesbytheunit
weightsavedinmemory.Piececountingcannotbeimplementedunlesssamplinghasalreadytaken

1. While the samples are beingsaved, the valueindicationdisappears and only [M] flashes to
indicatethatmemorysaving is underway. Ifthe balance is affected by wind or othervibrations
duringthisprocess, the savingtime maybe prolonged.
2. If[L - E r r ] appears, it indicates oneofthe followingstates:
(1) The weight ofone sample(measurableunitweight) is insufficient.
For the range of unitweightsthat canbe measured and saved,pleaserefer to "11.
Specifications," on page 30.
(2) Inthe sampling of OperationStep 3, press the| Set| key with the samplesloaded onthe
balance.
2K If[L ~Err] appears, the sampling is interrupted andthe data in progress isnot saved.
3. The operation for increasingcountingaccuracy is referred toasthe MemoryUpdateMethod.
Thisprocedureupdates the memorywith a unitweightthatrepresents a morepreciseaverage
bygraduallyincreasing the samplingnumber.
Thisoperationimprovescountingaccuracy andis recommended forthe followingcases;
(1)When the samples tobe counteddeviatewidely in weight orthe number of samples
displayeddeviates.
(2)Whengreateraccuracy is desired.
4. If[R d d] appears in MemoryUpdateMethod, it indicatesthat a countingerror is likely dueto
thesmallnumber ofthe samplesloaded onthe balance. [M] willlight upatthe judgment
indication "LO."Asthe memoryupdatecontinues,countingaccuracyimproves andthe above
indicationdisappears.
5. Ifyou change the samplingnumber,subsequentsamplingwillstartfrom thenew samplingnumber.
