Commissioning steps for wireless components
Abridged version
Safety instructions
Please follow these safety instructions closely to prevent accidents and
material losses.
Installation, initial start-up, inspection,
maintenance and repairs must only be
carried out by a competent person (heat-
ing engineer/installation contractor).
Before working on the equipment/heat-
ing system, isolate the power supply
(e.g. by removing a separate mains fuse
or by means of a mains isolator) and
safeguard against unauthorised recon-
nection.
When using gas as fuel, also close the
main gas shut-off valve and safeguard
against unauthorised reopening.
Repairing components which fulfil a
safety function can compromise the safe
operation of your heating system.
For replacements, use only original
spare parts supplied or approved by
Viessmann.

1. Outside temperature sensor RF 1. Remove the outside temperature sen-
sor from its packaging.
2. Position the outside temperature sen-
sor so it is facing a light source, to
allow the internal voltage supply to
build up (approx. 15 min).
2. Wireless base station
KM - BUS
1. Connect the KM BUS cable.
2. Start the control unit.
3. Note the PIN no. on the protective foil
of the wireless base station.
PIN no.: ... ... ...
3. All components 1. Site all components near the wireless
base station.
2. In the case of operation with wireless
repeater: site the wireless base sta-
tion at least 1 m away from the wire-
less repeater.

1. Press A on the wireless base sta-
tion:
■ Operation without wireless
repeater: 4 s
■ Operation with wireless repeater:
8 s
2. Briefly press B on the outside tem-
perature sensor.
5. Vitotrol 200 RF

1. Insert batteries C into the Vitotrol
200 RF D.
2. Press A on the wireless base sta-
tion:
■ Operation without wireless
repeater: 4 s
■ Operation with wireless repeater:
8 s
3. On the Vitotrol 200 RF C press OK.
4. Enter the three-digit PIN of the wire-
less base station (see above).
5. Assign a heating circuit.
