Before using this Thermometer, place your thumb on the ribbed area on the back of the unit and slide the
battery cover off. Remove the red tab so that the battery will make proper contact at the terminals. Replace
the battery cover.

OPERATION
1. Turn the thermometer on by inserting the battery. To insert the battery, slide the Battery door located on
the back in the direction of the arrow. Insert the battery as directed by the polarity symbols (+ and -).
Replace the Battery Door.
2. The external probe may be used to monitor temperatures in air/gas, liquids, and semi-solids. Both the
probe and cable may be totally immersed in water.
3. Select Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C) by sliding the switch on the back of the unit to the desired setting.
4. Press the RESET button. All segments will be displayed for 3 seconds then the unit will display the
current °F or °C temperature.
MEMORY
1. Press the MIN or MAX button once to recall both the ambient and probe minimum/maximum
temperature. “MIN” or “MAX” will appear on the display.
2. Press the MIN or MAX button once again to return to the current temperature display. “MIN” or “MAX”
will no longer appear on the display.
3. With “MIN” or “MAX” on the display, press the RESET button to reset either the minimum and maximum
temperatures. All segments will be displayed for 3 seconds and the minimum or maximum temperatures
will be set to the current temperature.
DISPLAY MESSAGES
HHH (Flashing)—Indicates that the temperature being measured is above the range of the unit.
LLL (Flashing)—Indicates that the temperature being measured is below the range of the unit.
MOUNTING
A wire holder is provided with the external probe for permanent mounting. To mount the probe, place a screw
or nail through the hole of the wire holder and secure the holder to the wall. The unit is provided with a
receptacle for wall mounting. Set a screw into the wall at the location desired. The head of the screw will
need to slip into the receptacle on the back of the unit. Do not set the screw flush to the wall. Once the
screw has been set properly, hang the unit in place by sliding the receptacle on the back of the unit over the
head of the screw. The unit may also be mounted by using the Velcro™ supplied.
BENCH STAND
The unit is supplied with a bench stand that is a part of the case. To use the bench stand, locate the small
rectangular opening on either side of the battery cover. Place your finger nail into the opening and flip the
stand up. To close the stand, simple snap it shut.
TRACEABLE® CERTIFICATE
To assure accuracy, the unit is supplied with an individually serial-numbered Traceable® Certificate provided
from an ISO/IEC 17025 calibration laboratory accredited by A2LA. The recommended recalibration date is
noted on the certificate that is included with the product. Annual recalibrations should occur thereafter.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Erratic readings, a faint display, or no display are all indicators that the battery is low and must be replaced.

To replace the battery, slide Battery Door located on the back in the direction of the arrow. Insert a new 1.5V
AAA alkaline battery, NOT a regular or heavy duty battery, as directed by the polarity symbols (+ and -).
Incorrectly installed batteries may damage electronics. Replace the Battery Door.
ALL OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES
If this thermometer does not function properly for any reason, please replace the battery with a new high
quality battery (see “Battery Replacement” section). Low battery power can occasionally cause any number
of “apparent” operational difficulties. Replacing the battery with a new fresh battery will solve most
difficulties.

period of two (2) years from date of delivery. If a defect is present, VWR will, at its option and cost, repair,
replace, or refund the purchase price of this product to the customer, provided it is returned during the
warranty period. This warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse,
or misapplication, or from ordinary wear and tear. If the required maintenance and inspection services are
not performed according to the manuals and any local regulations, such warranty turns invalid, except to the
extent, the defect of the product is not due to such non-performance.
Items being returned must be insured by the customer against possible damage or loss. This warranty shall

Funcionamiento
1. Encienda el termómetro mediante la inserción de la pila. Para insertar la pile, deslice la tapa de la pila
situada en la parte posterior de la unidad, en el sentido indicado por la flecha. Inserte la pila de la
manera indicada por los símbolos de polaridad (+ y -). Vuelva a colocar la tapa de la pila.
2. La sonda externa puede ser utilizada para controlar las temperaturas en el aire/gas, los líquidos y los
semisólidos. La sonda y el cable pueden ser totalmente sumergidos en agua.
3. Seleccione Fahrenheit (°F) o Celsius (°C) deslizando el conmutador en la parte posterior de la unidad a
la posición deseada.
4. Pulse el botón RESET. Todos los segmentos aparecerán durante 3 segundos y la unidad mostrará la
temperatura actual en °F o en °C .
MEMORIA

MENSAGES VISUALIZADOS

MONTAJE
Se proporciona un soporte de alambre con la sonda externa para un montaje permanente. Para montar la
sonda, coloque un tornillo o un clavo a través del orificio del soporte de alambre y fije el soporte sobre la
pared. La unidad está provista de un receptáculo para el montaje en la pared. Coloque un tornillo en la
pared, en el lugar deseado. La cabeza del tornillo debe deslizarse en el receptáculo en la parte posterior de
la unidad. No coloque el tornillo de manera que quede a ras con la pared. Una vez que haya ajustado
correctamente el tornillo, cuelgue la unidad en su lugar deslizando el receptáculo en la parte posterior de la
unidad sobre la cabeza del tornillo. La unidad también puede montarse utilizando el Velcro® suministrado.
SOPORTE DE MESA
La unidad viene acompañada de un soporte de mesa que forma parte de la caja. Para utilizar el soporte de
mesa, localice la pequeña abertura rectangular en ambos lados de la tapa de la pila. Coloque la uña del
dedo en la abertura y levante el soporte para abrirlo. Para cerrar el soporte, simplemente empújelo hacia
abajo para cerrarlo.
Solución de problemas
REEMPLAZO DE LA PILA
Lecturas irregulares, una visualización débil o la falta de visualización indican que la pila es débil y debe
ser reemplazada. Para reemplazar la pila, deslice la tapa de la pila situada en la parte posterior de la
unidad, en el sentido indicado por la flecha. Inserte una nueva pila alcalina AAA de 1,5V, y NO una pila de
servicio regular o pesado, de la manera indicada por los símbolos de polaridad (+ y -). Las pilas mal
instaladas pueden dañar los componentes electrónicos. Vuelva a colocar la tapa de la pila.
TODAS LAS DIFICULTADES OPERATIVAS
Si este termómetro no funciona correctamente por cualquier motivo, reemplace la pila con una pila
nueva de alta calidad (consulte la sección "Reemplazo de la pila"). Una pila débil a veces puede causar
cierto número de dificultades operativas "aparentes". El reemplazo de la pila con una pila nueva permitirá
resolver la mayoría de las dificultades.

Fonctionnement

MONTAGE
Un support en fil métallique est fourni avec la sonde externe en vue d'un montage permanent. Pour monter
la sonde, placez une vis ou un clou dans le trou du support en fil métallique et fixez le support au mur.
L'unité est fournie avec un socle pour le montage mural. Installez une vis sur le mur à l'endroit désiré. La
tête de la vis doit se glisser dans le socle à l'arrière de l'appareil. Ne serrez pas la vis de façon qu'elle soit
complètement contre le mur. Une fois que la vis a été installée correctement, accrochez l'appareil en faisant
glisser le socle à l'arrière de l'appareil sur la tête de la vis. L'appareil peut également être monté en utilisant
le Velcro™ fourni.
SUPPORT DE TABLE
L'appareil est fourni avec un support de table qui fait partie du boîtier. Pout utiliser le support de table,
localisez la petite ouverture rectangulaire de chaque côté du couvercle de la pile. Placez votre ongle dans
l'ouverture et soulevez le support pour l'ouvrir. Pour fermer le support, appuyez simplement dessus pour le
fermer.
Dépannage
REMPLACEMENT DE LA PILE
Des indications irrégulières, un affichage faible ou pas d'affichage indiquent que la pile est faible et doit être
remplacée. Pour remplacer la pile, faites glisser le couvercle du compartiment de la pile situé à l'arrière de
l'appareildans le sens indiqué par la flèche. Insérez une nouvelle pile alcaline AAA de 1,5V, et PAS une pile
de service régulier ou lourd, de la façon indiquée par les symboles de polarité (+ et -). Les piles mal
installées peuvent endommager l'électronique. Remettez le couvercle de la pile.
TOUTES LES DIFFICULTÉS OPÉRATIONNELLES
Si ce thermomètre ne fonctionne pas correctement pour une raison quelconque, veuillez remplacer la pile
par une pile neuve de haute qualité (voir la section « Remplacement de la Pile »). Une pile faible peut
parfois causer un certain nombre de difficultés opérationnelles « apparentes ». Le remplacement de la pile
par une pile neuve permettra de résoudre la plupart des difficultés.

Bedienung

TISCHSTÄNDER
Das Gerät ist mit einem Tischständer ausgestattet, der Teil des Gehäuses ist.Um den Tischständer zu
verwenden, suchen Sie nach einer kleinen rechteckigen Öffnung auf einer der Seiten der
Batteriefachabdeckung.Ziehen Sie mit dem Fingernagel den Ständer aus der Öffnung heraus.Um den
Ständer zu schließen, klappen Sie ihn einfach zu.

BATTERIEWECHSEL
Fehlerhafte Messwerte, ein blasses Display oder überhaupt keine Display-Anzeige sind Indikatoren, dass
die Batterie ausgewechselt werden muss.Schieben Sie, um die Batterie zu wechseln, die hinten befindliche
Batterieabdeckung in Richtung des Pfeils.Legen Sie eine neue 1,5 VAAAAlkali-Batterie, KEINE
herkömmliche oder Hochleistungsbatterie, entsprechend den Polaritätssymbolen (+ und -) ein.Nicht korrekt
eingelegte Batterien können zu Schäden an den elektronischen Teilen führen.Schließen Sie die Abdeckung
des Batteriefachs wieder.
BETRIEBSPROBLEME
Wenn dieses Thermometer aus irgendeinem Grund nicht richtig funktioniert, wechseln Sie die Batterie mit
einer hochwertigen Batterie (siehe Abschnitt “Batteriewechsel”) aus.Geringe Batteriestärke kann

Funzionamento
1. Accendere il termometro inserendo la batteria. Per inserire la batteria, rimuovere lo sportellino del vano
batteria che si trova sul retro facendolo scivolare nella direzione indicata dalla freccia. Inserire la batteria
come indicato dai simboli di polarità (+ e -). Riposizionare lo sportellino della batteria.
2. La sonda esterna può essere utilizzata per misurare la temperatura di aria/gas, liquidi e componenti semi-
solidi. Entrambi la sonda e il cavo possono essere completamente immersi nell’acqua.
3. Selezionare i gradi Fahrenheit (°F) o Celsius (°C) agendo sull’interruttore posizionato sul retro dell’unità,
in modo da ottenere l’impostazione desiderata.

4. Premere il tasto RESET. Tutti i segmenti saranno visualizzati per 3 secondi e successivamente l’unità
visualizzerà la temperatura effettiva in °F o °C.
MEMORIA
1. Premere una volta il tasto MIN o MAX per richiamare la temperatura ambiente e la temperatura
minima/massima registrata dalla sonda. Il display visualizzerà le diciture “MIN” o “MAX”.
2. Premere nuovamente il tasto MIN o MAX per tornare alla visualizzazione della temperatura effettiva. Le
diciture “MIN” o “MAX” non saranno più visualizzate sul display.
3. Quando le diciture “MIN” o “MAX” vengono visualizzate sul display, premere il tasto RESET per
ripristinare la temperatura minima e massima. Tutti i segmenti saranno visualizzati per 3 secondi e le
temperature minima e massima saranno impostate in funzione della temperatura effettiva.
MESSAGGI VISUALIZZATI SUL DISPLAY
HHH (Lampeggiante) –Indica che la temperatura misurata è superiore all’intervallo predefinito dell’unità.
LLL (Lampeggiante) –Indica che la temperatura misurata è inferiore all’intervallo predefinito dell’unità.
MONTAGGIO
La sonda esterna viene fornita con un fermacavo per consentirne il montaggio permanente. Per montare la
sonda, inserire una vite o un chiodo nel foro del fermacavo e fissarlo alla parete. L’unità è fornita con
un’apposita scatola per il montaggio a parete. Posizionare una vite sulla parete nella posizione desiderata.
La testa della vite dovrà rientrare nella scatola posta sul retro dell’unità. Non avvitare la vite a filo della
parete. Una volta posizionata la vite, montare l’unità facendo scivolare la scatola posta sul retro dell'unità
sulla testa della vite. Per il montaggio dell'unità è inoltre possibile utilizzare il Velcro™ fornito in dotazione.
SUPPORTO DA BANCO
L’unità è fornita con un supporto da banco integrato nella cassa. Per utilizzare il supporto, localizzare la
piccola apertura rettangolare posta su ciascun lato del coperchio della batteria. Intervenendo sull'apertura
con un'unghia della mano, sganciare il supporto. Richiudere il supporto con uno scatto.
Manutenzione
SOSTITUZIONE DELLA BATTERIA
Letture sbagliate, un display poco luminoso o un display spento sono tutti segnali che indicano che la
batteria è scarica e che occorre sostituirla. Per sostituire la batteria, rimuovere lo sportellino del vano
batteria che si trova sul retro facendolo scivolare nella direzione indicata dalla freccia. Inserire una nuova
batteria alcalina 1,5V AAA come indicato dai simboli di polarità (+ e -). NON utilizzare batterie standard o per
l’alto carico (heavy duty). Le batterie non installate correttamente possono danneggiare i componenti
elettronici. Riposizionare lo sportellino della batteria.
PROBLEMI OPERATIVI
Se, per qualsiasi motivo, il termometro non funziona correttamente, sostituire la batteria con una nuova
batteria di alta qualità (vedere la sezione “Sostituzione della Batteria”). L’utilizzo di una batteria scarica può
occasionalmente causare una serie di problemi operativi “apparenti”. La sostituzione della batteria con una
nuova batteria consentirà di risolvere la maggior parte di questi problemi.

Operação
1. Ligue o termômetro, inserindo a bateria. Para inserir a bateria, deslize (na direção da seta) a tampa do
compartimento dabateria localizado na parte de trás. Inserir a bateria conforme indicado pelos símbolos
de polaridade (+ e -). Recoloque a tampa do compartimento dabateria.
2. A sonda externa pode ser usada para monitorar temperaturas em ar/gases, líquidos e semi-sólidos.
Tanto a sonda como o cabo podem sertotalmente imersos em água.
3. Selecione Fahrenheit (°F) ou Celsius (°C), deslizando o comando na parte traseira da unidade para a
marcação desejada.
4. Pressione o botão RESET. Todos os segmentos serão exibidos durante 3segundos e então a unidade
exibirá a temperatura atual em °F ou °C.

MEMÓRIA
1. Pressione o botão MIN ou MAX uma vez para que o visor mostre a temperaturamínima/máxima,tanto a
ambiente como a medida pela sonda. Aparece "MAX" ou "MIN" no visor.
2. Pressione o botão MIN ou MAX mais uma vez para voltar a exibir a temperatura corrente. "MIN" ou
"MAX" não aparecem mais no visor.
3. Com "MIN" ou "MAX" no visor, pressione o botão RESET para redefinir as temperaturas mínima e
máxima. Todos os segmentos serão exibidos por 3 segundos e as temperaturas mínima ou máxima
serão definidas em relação à temperatura corrente.
MENSAGENS DO VISOR
HHH (intermitente) —Indica que a temperatura que está sendo medida está acima da faixa de temperatura
da unidade.
LLL (intermitente) —Indica que a temperatura que está sendo medida está abaixo da faixa de temperatura
da unidade.
MONTAGEM
É fornecido um suporte de arame com a sonda externa para a sua montagem permanente. Para montar a
sonda, colocar um parafuso ouprego pelo furo do suporte de arame e prender o suporte na parede. A
unidade é fornecida com um receptáculo para montagem naparede. Coloque o parafuso na parede no local
desejado. Lembre-se de que a cabeça do parafuso terá que deslizar para dentro do receptáculo na parte
traseirada unidade. Depois de introduzido, o parafuso não poderá estar nivelado com a parede. Depois do
parafuso colocado corretamente, pendure a unidade na posição, deslizando o recipiente na parte traseira
da unidade sobre a cabeça do parafuso. A unidade também pode ser montada usando o dispositivo
Velcro™ fornecido.
SUPORTEPARAUSO SOBRE A MESA
A unidade é fornecida com um suporte que faz parte do estojo e que permite a colocação da unidade sobre
uma mesa de trabalho. Para usar o suporte, localize a pequena abertura retangular de cada lado da tampa
do compartimento de bateria. Introduza o dedo (unha) na abertura e levante o suporte. Para fechar o
suporte, basta encaixá-lo de volta na abertura.
Localização de falhas
SUBSTITUIÇÃO DA BATERIA
Leituras erráticas, visor esmaecido ou visor apagado são sinais de bateria fraca, que deve ser
substituída.Para substituir a bateria, deslize a tampa do compartimento debateria na parte de trás do
instrumento, na direção da seta. Ponha uma nova bateria alcalina AAA de 1,5 V –e NÃO uma bateria
comum ou de serviço pesado –conforme indicado pelos símbolos de polaridade (+ e -). As baterias
instaladas incorretamente podem danificar o funcionamento eletrônico. Reponha a tampa do compartimento
de bateria.
TODAS AS DIFICULDADES OPERACIONAIS
Se este termômetro não funcionar adequadamente por qualquer razão, substitua a bateria poruma bateria

nova e de altaqualidade (ver acima a seção "Substituição da Bateria"). Uma bateria fraca ou descarregada
pode provocar várias dificuldades operacionais "aparentes". Asubstituição da bateria por uma bateria nova
resolverá a maioria das dificuldades.
Garantia
A VWR International garante que este produto está isento de defeitos de material e de fabrico por um
período de dois (2) anos a partir da data de fornecimento. Caso seja detectado um defeito, a VWR irá, a
seu crédito e custos, reparar, substituir ou reembolsar o preço de compra deste produto ao cliente, desde
que o produto seja devolvido durante o período de garantia. Esta garantia não se aplica se o produto tiver
sido danificado devido a acidente, uso indevido, se tiver sido aplicado incorrectamente, ou se os danos
