eveniftheproductisoutofwarranty.Iftheequipmentis
abused,ormodiedtochangeitsperformancebeyondthe

Warranty
Terms:Unlessotherwisestated,WaratahNewZealand
Limited(‘Waratah’)warrantseachnewattachmenttobe
freeoffailurecausedbydefectivematerialorworkmanship
foraperiodofone(1)yearortwothousand(2000)hours,
whicheverrstoccurs,followingdateofdeliveryofthe
producttotheoriginalretailcustomer(user).
WarrantycoverageforpartsonWaratah’sforestry
attachmentsisfor12monthsfromthedateofinstallation
byaWaratah-approveddealer,or180daysfromthedate
ofdeliveryifthecustomerbuysthepartoverthecounter.
Interruptions:Onlyonewarrantyinterruption,lastingno
morethansix(6)months,willbeacceptedduringthe
warrantyperiod.
Validity:T ovalidatethiswarranty,attachmentinstallation
mustbedonebyanauthoriseddealeronacarrierthat
meetsWaratah’sspecications,prescribedpre-delivery
andstart-upinspectionsmustbecompleted,andthe
customermustcomplete,sign,andsubmitaWarranty
RegistrationFormtothesellingWaratahDistribution
Centre(WDC).
Obligations:Waratah’ssoleobligationunderthis
warrantyislimitedtorepairsoffailuresduetofaulty
workmanship,ortherepairorreplacementofdefective
parts.Theseactionsarewithoutcharge,whetherinthe
eld,oratWaratah’sfactory,warehouse,oranapproved
repairshop.Returnfreightofpartsmustbepre-paid
bytheuser.Waratahisnotresponsibleforanycosts
associatedwiththedeliveryofanattachmentoritsparts
forrepairs,oranycostsassociatedwiththedeliveryof
partstomakerepairs.
Exceptions:Thiswarrantydoesnotapplytosoftware.
Itdoesnotapplytomaintenanceitemsusedinservice
(suchaslubricatingoilsandlters)andconsumableparts
(suchasbladesandsawchains).Itdoesnotapplyto
productsthatshowevidenceofneglect,overload,abuse,
accident,orunauthorisedalteration.Itdoesnotapply
toproductsthatareinadequatelymaintainedorused
forotherthantheirdesignatedpurposes,asdenedin
Waratah’stechnicalandmarketingpublications.
Annulment:ThiswarrantyshallbevoidifWaratah
determinesthattheattachment’sperformanceorreliability
isadverselyaffectedby1)repairsoralterationstothe
productmadebypersonsorrmsnotapprovedby
Waratah,or2)installationoftheproductonamachine
orbypersonsorrmsnotapprovedbyWaratah,3)
replacementpartsthatarenotgenuineWaratahparts,
or4)failuretofollowprescribedprocessesinWaratah
manualsoronWaratahproductsafetylabels.
Waratahherebydisclaimsliabilityonitspartfordamages,
whethergeneral,special,orarisingthroughnegligence,
andexpresslyincludinganyincidentalandconsequential
damages.Waratah’sobligationtorepairorreplaceisthe
limitofitsliabilityunderthiswarranty,andtheuser’ssole
rightandremedy.
Thiswarrantyisexpresslyinlieuofallother
warranties,expressorimplied,writtenororal,and
including,withoutlimitation,anyimpliedwarranties
ofmerchantabilityortnessforpurpose.
Thiswarrantymaynotbechanged,altered,ormodiedin
anywayexceptinwritingbyWaratah.
AvoidUnauthorisedMachineModications
ChangesofanykindtothisWaratahproduct,including
thettingofanyunauthorisedattachments,couldaffect
theintegrityoftheproduct,oritsabilitytoperformas
designedorintended.
NochangesshouldbemadetoanyWaratah
product,includingdeletionsoradditionsotherthana
Waratah-approvedoptionttedinthefactory-approved
manner.
Optionsorchangesareonlyofciallyapprovedinthe
followingform:
•Standardoptionsforthatproductshownorlistedon
acurrentprintedspecicationssheet,pricelist,parts
manual,orproductliteratureissuedbyWaratah.
•Nootherpersonisauthorisedtogivesuchapproval.
Waratahdisclaimsresponsibilityforanysituationarising
asaresultofunauthorisedchangetoitsproduct,suchas
theuseofanon-approvedsawbarorchain-tensioner
installedonaWaratahharvesterhead.Ifanypersonor
organisationmodiesorcontributesinanywaytoan
unauthorisedmodication,thepersonororganisationwill
bedeemedtohaveassumedtheriskinvolvedwithsuch
modication,andmaybedeemednegligentincreatinga
dangeroussituationresultingfromsuchaction.
WherechangesaremadewithoutWaratah’sofcial
approval,andWaratahbecomesinvolvedinasuitarising
outofsuchchange,Waratahwillprotectitsinterestby
takingappropriateaction.
Failuretoadheretothispolicynulliesandvoidsthe
product’swarranty,aswellasthecerticationonanysafety
itemsinstalledonthemodiedmachineorattachment.
Non-approvedproductchangesalsonullifywarranties
giventoWaratahbyitscomponentmanufacturers.

thecarrierandharvesterhead.
IMPORTANT:Theharvesterheadcanfall

theengine,lowertheharvesterheadtothe

Ensuretheworkzoneisclearbeforefellingatreeor
processingastem.
Checkwithlocalauthoritiesregardinglocalsafety
regulations.Anticipateasafetyzoneofatleast5meters
(16feet)betweenpowerlinesandthenearestpointof
contactoftheharvesterhead.
Whenworkinginarestrictedarea,checkforinterference
withcylinderrods,hydraulichoses,andelectricalcables,
etc.
Alwayslowertheharvesterheadanditsloadtotheground;
leavingaloadsuspendedcouldresultininjuryordeath.
Passingaloadoveranothervehicle,evenifitappears
empty,couldcauseinjurytosomeoneoutoftheoperator's
lineofsight.
IMPORTANT:Usecautionwhenmanoeuvring
theharvesterheadclosetothecarrier.
Failingtodosomayresultindamageto
thecarrierandharvesterhead.
Alwaysallowenoughdistancebetweenthestemandthe
harvestercab.
When(re)movingalogfromoronastack,avoidmaking
