2.3 ABOUTTHE CFW-08 The CFW-08isahighperformanceVariable FrequencyDrivethatpermits
thecontrol of speedandtorque ofathree-phaseACinduction motor.Two
typesof control are available in the same product:
Programmablescalar(Volts/Hz)control;
SensorlessVector Control(VVC: VoltageVectorControl).
Inthe vectorcontrolmode, themotorperformanceis optimizedrelatingto
torqueandspeed regulation.
The"Self-Tuning"function,availableinvectorcontrol,permitstheautomatic
settingof theinverterparameter fromtheidentification (alsoautomatic)of
theparametersofthemotorconnectedattheinverteroutput.
The V/F (scalar) mode is recommended for more simple applications
such as pump and fan drives. In these cases one can reduce the motor
and inverter losses by using the "Quadratic V/F" option, that results in
energysaving.
TheV/Fmodeisalsousedwhenmore than one motor should be driven
simultaneouslybyoneinverter (multimotor application).
Thereare two CFW-08versions:
Standard: it has 4 digital inputs (DIs), 1 analog input (AI) and 1 relay
output.
CFW-08Plus:compared to thestandardversionit has one additional
analoginput and one additional relay output. It has also an analog
output(AO).
