1 SAFETY INFORMATION
1.1 SAFETY WARNINGS
NOTE!
Only use the remote serial HMI
(CFW100-KHMIR) on WEG CFW100
series inverters.
It is recommended reading the CFW100
user’s manual, as well as the installation,
configuration and operation guide of
the RS485 (CFW100-CRS485) before
installing or operating this accessory.
The content of this guide provides
important information for the full
understanding and proper operation of
the remote serial HMI.
NOTE!
In order to check the firmware version of
this accessory, press and hold the “P” key
for over three seconds.
1.2 PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATIONS
ATTENTION!
Always disconnect the general power
supply before connecting or disconnecting
the accessories of the CFW100 frequency
inverter.
Wait for at least ten minutes for the full
discharge of the inverter.
2 GENERAL INFORMATION
This guide provides directions for the installation,
configuration and operation of the Remote serial HMI
(CFW100-KHMIR).

3 CONTENT OF THE PACKAGE
Upon receiving the product, check if the package
contains:
Accessory in anti-static package.
RS485 (CFW100-CRS485) module.
3-m mini USB cable.
Installation, configuration and operation guide.
4 INSTALLATION OF THE ACCESSORY
The CFW100-KHMIR accessory is easily connected
to the CFW100 frequency inverter by means of the
plug-and-play concept. The procedures below must
be observed for the proper installation and start-up:
1. With the inverter de-energized, remove the front
cover of the inverter shown in figure A.1 (a).
2. Connect the CFW100-CRS485 accessory (RS485
module) to the inverter as shown in figure A.1 (b). For
further details, refer to the Installation, Configuration
and Operation Guide of the CFW100-CRS485
module.
3. Connect the cable to the CFW100-KHMIR and
CFW100-CRS485 as indicated in figure A.1 (c).
4. Energize the inverter and check that the display of the
remote serial HMI shows the same indication as the
inverter HMI. Otherwise, repeat items 1-4, checking
the cable connections.

5 CONFIGURATIONS
It may be mounted outside the inverter on the panel
door (figure A.2) or command panel.
For connections that require distances over 3 m,
use connection of the remote serial HMI via RS485
interface connection (see figure A.3) and use an
external power supply (see table 1).
When the remote serial HMI is connected to the
inverter, the inverter HMI only shows what is being
displayed on the remote serial HMI, and no changes
can be made on the inverter HMI.

1.2 RECOMENDACIONES PRELIMINARES
¡ATENCIÓN!
Siempre desconecte la alimentación
general antes de conectar o desconectar
los accesorios del convertidor de
frecuencia CFW100.
Aguarde por lo menos 10 minutos para

3 CONTENIDO DEL EMBALAJE
Al recibir el producto, verificar si el embalaje contiene:
Accesorio en embalaje antiestático.
Módulo RS485 (CFW100-CRS485).
Cable mini USB de 3 m.
Guía de instalación, configuración y operación.
4 INSTALACIÓN DEL ACCESORIO
El accesorio CFW100-KHMIR es fácilmente conectado
al convertidor de frecuencia CFW100 utilizando el
concepto “plug-and-play”. Los procedimientos de abajo
deben ser seguidos para la correcta instalación y puesta
en funcionamiento:
1. Con el convertidor desenergizado, retire la tapa
frontal del mismo, figura A.1 (a).
2. Conecte el accesorio CFW100-CRS485 (módulo
RS485) en el convertidor conforme la figura
A.1 ( b). Para más detalles consulte la guía de
instalación, configuración y operación del módulo
CFW100-CRS485.
3. Haga la conexión del cable en la CFW100-KHMIR
y en el CFW100-CRS485 conforme la figura A.1 (c).
4. Energice el convertidor y verifique si la HMI remota
serial presenta, en el display, la misma indicación de
la HMI del convertidor. En caso contrario, repita los
ítems 1-4 verificando las conexiones del cable.

5 CONFIGURACIONES
Puede ser montada externamente en los
convertidores en la puerta del tablero, figura A.2 o
en la mesa de comando.
Para conexiones que exijan distancias mayores
a 3 m, utilizar la conexión de la HMI remota serial
vía conector de la interfaz RS485 (ver figura A.3) y
alimentar con una fuente externa (ver tabla 1).
Cuando la HMI remota serial sea conectada al
convertidor, la HMI del mismo solamente indicará lo
que está siendo mostrado en la HMI remota serial,
no siendo posible ninguna alteración en la HMI del
convertidor.

4 INSTALAÇÃO DO ACESSÓRIO
O acessório CFW100-KHMIR é facilmente conectado
ao inversor de frequência CFW100 utilizando o conceito
“plug-and-play”. Os procedimentos abaixo devem ser
seguidos para a correta instalação e colocação em
funcionamento:
1. Com o inversor desenergizado, retire a tampa frontal
do inversor figura A.1 (a).
2. Conecte o acessório CFW100-CRS485 (módulo
RS485) no inversor conforme figura A.1 (b). Para mais
detalhes consulte o guia de instalação, configuração
e operação do módulo CFW100-CRS485.
3. Faça a conexão do cabo na CFW100-KHMIR e no
CFW100-CRS485 conforme a figura A.1 (c).
4. Energize o inversor e verifique se a HMI remota
serial apresenta no display a mesma indicação da
HMI do inversor. Caso contrário, repita os itens 1-4
verificando as conexões do cabo.

5 CONFIGURAÇÕES
Pode ser montada externamente aos inversores na
porta do painel figura A.2 ou mesa de comando.
Para conexões que exijam distância maiores que
3 m, utilizar a conexão da HMI remota serial via
conector da interface RS485 (ver figura A.3) e
alimentar com fonte externa (ver tabela 1).
Quando conectada a HMI remota serial ao inversor,
a HMI do inversor apenas indica o que está sendo
mostrado na HMI remota serial, não sendo possível
qualquer alteração na HMI do inversor.
