Item Button
6On/Off or Home button
The main function is switching the CPG1200 on and off.
If the digital pressure gauge is already in menu mode, a short press on
the [On/Off] button brings up “HOME”. A long press (at least 2 seconds)
switches the CPG1200 off.
7MENU button
Calling up the menu
By pressing the [MENU/◀▶] button, menu mode will be selected. If the
CPG1200 is already in menu mode, the operation of “◀” or “▶”will depend
on the display. If the button is pressed for longer, after 2 seconds the cursor
switches (left ◀ or ▶right).
If the arrow is pointing to the left (◀), releasing the [MENU/◀▶] button
immediately jumps back one menu level.
Inputs are confirmed with the [MENU/◀▶] button.
8LIGHT button
Turning the backlighting on and off
By pressing the [LIGHT/▼] button (short press or long press), the light will
be switched on.The duration of the light is dependent on “LIGHT OFF” in
“Setting”.
■1 x press of the [LIGHT/▼] button (Light = On)
■Pressing [LIGHT/▼] button again (Light = Off)
If the CPG1200 is in Menu Mode, with a short press on the [LIGHT/▼]
button, the cursor can be moved downwards.
9ZERO button
The current pressure value will be set to “0” (gauge) or reference pressure
(abs.).
By pressing the [ZERO/▲] button, the current pressure value is set to “0”.
A maximum of 5 % of the measuring span can be corrected.
If the CPG1200 is in menu mode, with a short press on the [ZERO/▲]
button, the cursor can be moved upwards.
For gauge pressure measuring instruments, in the range of ±5 % of the zero
point, the measured value will be set to “0”.
With absolute pressure sensors, on pressing the [ZERO/▲] button, an input
window appears. Here, the current reference pressure must be entered.
The reference pressure must also be within ±5 % of the initial absolute
pressure of the instrument, then the measured value will be set to the
reference pressure entered.

5.2 Voltage supply
Three AA alkaline batteries are used as the voltage supply for the instrument. These
are included in delivery. Alternatively, the instrument can be supplied with power via the
USB interface. A USB power supply unit can be ordered as an accessory, see chapter
12 “Accessories”.
The battery life time is up to 4,000 hours for continuous operation (without backlighting
and with Bluetooth®deactivated).
In the upper right half of the display there is a symbol for the battery capacity. For the
explanation of symbols, see chapter 5.1 “Front foil”.
The battery status display lights up
Replace the battery to avoid data loss when logging or general downtime,
see chapter 9.2 “Battery replacement”.
5.3 USB interface
The Micro-USB, type B interface is located under the side cover and is marked with the
USB symbol. It can be used to read out data, configure the instrument via software and
supply it with power.
Do not hold the instrument by the rubber USB cover.
The CPG1200 cannot be charged via the USB interface.
Used rechargeable batteries are not charged.
5.4 Process connections
The CPG1200 is available with all industry-standard process connections, as standard
G ½ B is specified.
When screwing the NPT thread of the CPG1200 to an adapter or a pressure connection,
it is necessary to use additional sealant between the threads, e.g. PTFE tape. The hose,
lines and fittings etc. must always be approved, at least, for the operating pressure
which corresponds to the maximum pressure or the measuring range of the instrument.
In addition, there must be no leaks during calibration process - if necessary, seal using
PTFE tape.
The process connection is permanently connected to the case and cannot
be aligned freely.

5.5 Equipotential bonding
The instrument must be included in the equipotential bonding / grounding of the
application via the process connection. The sealing, e.g. for NPT process connection,
must be conductive to avoid potential differences caused by isolated mounting.
5.6 Options
5.6.1 Instrument protective cap
Optionally, the CPG1200 can be fitted with an impact-resistant instrument protective
cap.
5.6.2 Integrated data logger
The CPG1200 can, optionally, be configured with an integrated data logger.
This data logger can be switched on and set via “MENU” / “Logger” (respectively).
If the log rate time is longer than the measuring rate, the CPG1200 will take the average
pressure value instead of the current pressure value.
Example:
The average value should be measured over 60 seconds.
▶Setting log rate: 60 s
▶Measuring rate: ≥ 10/s
⇒Every 60 seconds 1x P_ave., 1x P_max, 1x P_min and 1x Temp. will be
recorded
The data logger can be enabled/activated on-site subsequently.
For further process, see chapter 5.6.3 “Subsequently activating/enabling
the data logger”.
