User Manual
Read this manual carefully before using the instrument

Verify that the input voltage printed on the AC Adapter and the plug type matches the local AC power supply.
Make sure that the power cord does not pose a potential obstacle or tripping hazard.
Disconnect the scale from the power supply when cleaning the scale.
Do not operate the scale in hazardous or unstable environments.
Do not immerse the scale in water or other liquids.
Do not drop loads on the platform.
Use only approved accessories and peripherals,as available.
Operate the scale only under ambient conditions specified in these instructions.
Service should be performed by authorized personnel only.
It must not be bump against other items or overloaded with excessively heavy weights (The load must not exceed the
maximum capacity of the balance).
Give a warm-up for 30mins before using the scale.

KEY FUNCTION
1. ON/ZERO/OFF: Turn the scale on, zero or off. (The scale will zero when the weight in 20% of maximum
capacity).
2. TARA: Set the display to zero by storing the current weight in the tare memory.
3. UNIT: Select weight unit –kilograms, lb, and oz.
4. HOLD: Temporarily memory the weight. Place an item to be weighed on the platform. Press HOLD key,
the arrow of the left bottom will blink. The display shows the measured weight. After removing the item,
the display still shows the weight. Press HOLD or TARE button to disable HOLD function.
5. PRINT: Press this key to print weight value.

CALIBRATION
The process of calibration as follows:
1) Press and hold ON/ZERO/OFF key, and then press UNIT key 3 times, display show zero count.
2) Press TARE key, display shows “0”.
3) Press UNIT key to select calibration weight unit (kg/lb)
4) Load calibration weight. (10kg for VT15, 20kg for VT30, 40kg for VT60/VT1 60kg, 100kg for VT1 150kg,

200kg for VT2)
5) Display shows span count.
6) Press TARE key, display shows “CAL”, and then shows calibration weight. (ex: for VT2 will show
200.0kg)
7) Remove weight from platform when calibration is finished.
8) Re-power on, the instrument is in normal mode.
SETUP RS232 AND BAUD RATE
Operation
Display
When the scale is switched on, hold the TARE key pressed for
about 3 seconds until the display shows successively the “set” and
“Unit” symbols.
SETUP RS232 FUNCTION
Press UNIT key until the display shows “tran”.
Press HOLD key once.
Press UNIT key to select on or off.
Press HOLD key to setup transmission.

SETUP BAUD RATE
Press UNIT key once the display shows “tr”.

Press HOLD key once to setup baud rate.
Press UNIT key to select baud rate.

Press HOLD key to setup baud rate.
Press UNIT key repeatedly until the END symbol is display.
Press HOLD key finished setup auto off time.

Set parameters of the scale interface on the connected device. It is not possible to change the scale
parameters.

ERROR MASSAGE
LOW
This warning shows that the voltage of battery is too low to use. Please replace new batteries or plug the AC
adaptor for operation.
ERR
Overload or counting error (too high): The loading is over limit when power on,please reduce the loading and try
again. If the trouble still exists, please call your
local service partner.
ERRL
Counting error (too low): The loading is lower than limit when power on, please increase the loading
and try again. If the trouble still exists please call your local service partner.
ERRE
EEPROM Error:The program of the scale has error, please call your local service partner.
