Xtracycle Longtail CargoBay X3 Series User manual

Clip each of the two side buckles around the corners of
the V-Rack. The forward buckle should loop below the
Wedding Rings (shown in Step 5). Do not tighten yet.
Position the four Ladder Locks facedown as shown. For
EdgeRunners use the #2 position for the two outside
Locks and #3 potition for the two inside. On Stoker and
Leap models you may have to adjust these at Step 5.
Install the hook-and-loop straps through the two outer
ladder loops. On EdgeRunner models, use the #1 opening.
On Leap & Stoker models use the loop at the center of
the V-Rack depending on the height of the V-Rack

Thread pointed end of webbing through each Ladder
Lock and cinch down tightly.
Make sure side buckle webbing is not binding at the top
of the V-Rack. Pull webbing attached to side buckles as
far down as you can. Cinch strap on the backside of the
CargoBay to tighten.
Go back and tighten all straps until the bag is firmly
tensioned around the V-Rack and lower bike frame.
Tie o any extra webbing.
Attach the two middle Ladder Locks around bottom
tubing of the bike frame and cinch down snug.

Center the CargoBay on the V-Rack and pull the hook-
and-loop straps taut around the two uprights of the
V-Rack. Note: The forward strap should attach below the
Wedding Ring on an EdgeRunner model
Wrap the nylon webbing attached to the forward and
rear Ladder Locks around the back side of the lower bike
frame. Note: If you are installing on a Leap the front nylon
webbing will feed through a gap on the kickstand plate.
