Recent apps key
Touch to see recently used applications.
Volume key
Press or hold to turn the volume up or down.
Starting Up
Switch off your phone before installing or
replacing the battery or the nano-SIM card. The
microSDHC™ card (not included) is optional
and can be installed and removed while the
phone is turned on. Unmount the microSDHC
card before removing it.
1. Place your finger in the slot at the bottom of the
back cover to lift and remove the cover.

2. Hold the nano-SIM card with the cut corner
oriented as shown and slide it into the card
holder.
WARNINGS!
To avoid damage to the phone, do not use
any other kind of SIM card, or any
non-standard nano-SIM card cut from a SIM
card. You can get a standard nano-SIM card
from your service provider.
This device uses a nano-SIM card only.

3. Hold the microSDHC card (not included) with
the cut corner oriented as shown and slide it
into the card slot.
NOTE:
Some applications may require a
microSDHC card to work normally or may
store certain data on it. Therefore, it is
recommended that you keep a microSDHC
card (sold separately) installed and not
remove or replace it randomly.

4. Insert the battery by aligning the metal
contacts on the battery with the metal
contacts in the battery compartment. Gently
push down on the battery until it locks into
place.
5. Align the back cover with the back of the phone
and press the cover back into place. Ensure
that all the tabs are secure and there are no
gaps around the cover.

Charging the Battery
1. Connect the adapter to the charging jack.
Ensure that the adapter is inserted with the
correct orientation. Do not force the connector
into the charging jack.
2. Connect the charger to a standard AC power
outlet.
3. Disconnect the charger when the battery is
fully charged.
NOTE:
If the battery is extremely low, you may be unable
to power on the phone even when it is being
charged. In this case, try again after charging the
phone for at least 10 minutes.

Powering On/Off Your
Phone
Ensure that the battery is charged before powering
on.
Press and hold the Power key to turn on
your phone.
To turn it off, press and hold the Power key
to open the options menu. Touch Power off.
Getting to Know the
Home Screen
The home screen is the starting point for your
phone‟s applications, functions, and menus. You
can customize your home screen by adding
application shortcuts, folders, widgets, and
more.

NOTE:
Your home screen extends beyond the initial
screen, providing more space for shortcuts,
widgets, and folders. Simply swipe left or right to
see the extended home screens.
Opening Applications
1. Touch the Home key if the current screen is
not the home screen.
2. Touch .
3. Slide left or right on the screen and touch an
app to open it.

Adding Shortcuts
1. Touch the Home key > .
2. Touch and hold an app icon and drag it tothe
home screen.
Adding Widgets
1. Touch and hold a blank part of the home
screen.
2. Touch WIDGETS.
3. Touch and hold a widget and drag it to the
home screen.
Removing Shortcuts or Widgets
1. Touch and hold a widget or shortcut on the
home screen.
2. Drag it to to remove it.
Organizing Shortcuts With
Folders
1. Touch and hold a shortcut on the home
screen.
2. Drag the shortcut icon over another and
release your finger. A new folder is created
and both shortcuts are added into the folder.
3. If needed, drag more shortcuts and drop them
into the folder.

Applying New Wallpapers
1. Touch and hold a blank part of the home
screen.
2. Touch WALLPAPERS.
3. Choose the image or animation you want to
use as the wallpaper and touch Set
wallpaper.

Sound

Sound
1. Touch the Home key > > Settings >
Sound & notification.
2. Touch Phone ringtone or Default
notification ringtone.
3. Select the ringtone you want to use.
4. Touch OK.
Setting System Tones
1. Touch the Home key > > Settings >
Sound & notification > other sounds.
2. Turn on the types of sound you want to hear or
turn off those you do not need.

Adjusting Volume
To adjust call volume, press the Volume key while
on a call. To adjust other types of volume, follow
the steps below.
1. Touch the Home key > > Settings >
Sound & notification.
2. Drag the sliders to adjust the volume for media,
the ringtone volume, and the alarm volume.
Setting a Screen Lock
You can protect your phone by creating a screen
lock. When it is enabled, you need to swipe the
screen, draw a pattern, or enter a numeric PIN or
password to unlock the phone‟s screen and keys.
1. Touch the Home key > > Settings >
Security > Screen lock.
2. Touch None, Swipe, Pattern, PIN or
Password.
Touch None to disable the screen lock
feature.
Touch Swipe to enable unlock with a
„swipe‟ or „drag‟ gesture.
Touch Pattern to create a pattern that you
must draw to unlock the screen.
Touch PIN or Password to set a numeric
PIN or a password you must enter to
unlock your screen.

Checking Voicemail
1. Touch the Home Key > > .
2. In the dialer tab, touch and hold 1 key. If
prompted, enter your voicemail password.
3. Follow the voice prompts to listen to and
manage your voicemail messages.
Making a Call
1. Touch the Home Key > > .
2. In the dialer tab, enter the phone number
with the on-screen keypad. Touch to
delete incorrect digits.
3. Touch below the keypad to place the
call.
NOTE:
To call a contact, touch the Home Key > >
and touch a contact or a number.

Wi-Fi Calling
Wi-Fi Calling allows you to make and receive
phone calls and messages over Wi-Fi
connection.
Adding Contacts
Creating a New Contact
1. Touch the Home Key > and touch the all
contacts tab ALL CONTACTS.
2. Touch .
3. Enter the contact name, phone numbers, email
addresses, and other information, as shown.
4. Touch More Field to enter other information
5. Touch to save the contact.

Importing Contacts in Batches
1. Touch the Home Key > .
2. Touch > Import/export > Import from
SIM card or Import from .vcf file.
3. If prompted, select an account in which to
save the contacts.
4. For importing from the SIM card, touch all
the SIM contacts you want to import and
touch OK.
For importing from .vcf file, select the vCard
file(s) and to begin importing.
Sending a Message
1. Touch the Home Key > .
2. On the Messaging screen, touch at the
bottom.
3. Add recipients by one of the following ways.
Touch the To field and manually enter the
recipient‟s number the contact name. If
the phone presents a few suggestions,
touch the one you want to add.
Select recipients from your contacts by
touching .
4. Touch the Send message field and enter the
content of your text message.
5. Touch to attach a file to the message
(such as pictures, videos, audio files, etc…).

Connecting With a
Bluetooth Headset
1. Touch the Home key > > Settings >
Bluetooth.
2. Touch the Bluetooth switch if it is off. When
Bluetooth is on, the icon appears in the
status bar.
NOTE:
Your phone automatically scans for and
displays the IDs of all available Bluetooth
devices in range. Touch > Refresh if you
want to scan again.
