2WillADSLaffectthetelephoneconversationquality?Willmakingphonecalls
cause aslowonlinerate?
ADSLseparatesvoicesfromdatathroughthefrequencydivisionmultiplexing
technology.Therefore, voicesanddatarun indifferentpathswithoutmutual
interference. Neithertheaccessratenorconversation qualitywill fall evenifyou are
ina call andon line simultaneously.
3 Howtoproperlyinstall telephone extensionsorotherdevicesontheADSLline?
Itisrecommendedtofirstconnectthe ADSLsplittertothe incomingcustomerend of
thetelephonecable, andthenconnectthephonesetstothesplitterinterfaces.
Installing atelephonedirectlybeforethesplitterwill leadtoafailureofconnection
betweentheZXDSL831/831B/831II/831BIIandthedevice atcentraloffice side, or
afailureofaccessintotheInternet,oraslowconnection speed.Connecting some
otherelectronicdevicesbetweentheincomingcustomerendandsplittermayaffect
theADSLcommunications(since ADSLhasahigherrequirementfortheline

requiredtobeconnectedbeforethesplitter,youshouldseriallyconnectthefilter
MicroFilterbeforethephonesets(Generally,tominimize interference, onlyone
filterMicroFiltercanbe hangbefore thesplitter).
