Thank you for urchasing an ADE digital scale. Please read this instruction manual carefully
before first use. Kee these instructions for future use.
Initial Setup and Battery Replacement
•This scale o erates on two CR2032 batteries (included).
•To activate the batteries for initial use: o en the battery cover on the
bottom of the scale and remove the safety stri . Ensure the correct
olarity of the batteries (+/-).
•To re lace the batteries: o en the battery cover, slide the batteries
down until they can be easily removed. Be careful not to bend the
contact. Insert the new batteries (2 x CR2032) and close the battery
cover.
Powering On/Off
•Place the scale on a flat surface.
•Turn on the scale by ressing the ON/OFF button.
•Scale will be ready for use when 0g or 0.0lb/oz is dis layed on the screen.
•This scale is equi ed with an auto-off feature to conserve battery ower. The
unit will turn off automatically after being idle for 2 minutes.
•Turn the scale off manually by ressing the ON/OFF button.
Weight and Volume Measurement
•Press the kg/lb button to change the desired unit of measure
(kg/g= kilogram/gram to lb/oz= ound/ounce)
Tare unction
•Place a bowl on the scale and ress the TARE button to set the scale to 0
•Weigh your first ingredient
•Press TARE button again to reset to 0, then add and weigh your next ingredient
•Re eat for additional ingredients
•This rocess can be re eated until the max. ca acity of the scale has been
reached
•The dis lay will show a negative number after the bowl is removed from the scale
Care Instructions
•Clean the outside of the scale with a dam cloth, do not immerse.
Only the measuring cu is dishwasher safe.
•To remove the measuring cu : ush the button below the handle and
lift the measuring cu u wards.
•Avoid contact with citric acid, solvents and abrasive cleaning agents.

Error Messages
Lo = low battery indicator, re lace with new batteries (2 x CR2032).
Err = the scale is overloaded. Immediately remove weight from the scale to revent
damage.

Li = Battery contains Lithium
Al = Battery contains Alkali
Mn = Battery contains Manganese
CR (Li); A (Al, Mn); AA (Al, Mn); AAA (Al, Mn)

Warranty
ADE warrants for a eriod of 3 years from the date of urchase that it will remedy any
defects due to faulty material or workmanshi free of charge by re air or re lacement.

(or 704.329.5100) between 9:00 a.m. and 4 .m. Mo - Fri EST before returning the scale.

Note: The dis layed value may be adversely affected under extreme electromagnetic
influences, e.g. when using a radio unit in the immediate vicinity of the device. Once the
interference has been rectified, the roduct can once again be used for its intended
ur ose. The device may have to be switched on again.


