Der Aqua Medic Light Computer ist ein elektronisches Gerät zur Steuerung der Beleuchtung in
Aquarien und Terrarien Sein Kennzeichen ist das mondphasengesteuerte Mondlicht, das den
natürlichen Mondphasenzyklus simuliert und die Tiere und Pflanzen in einen natürlichen Rhythmus
bringt Oft wird hierdurch die Fortpflanzung stimuliert oder induziert

1. Grundlagen
Für nahezu alle Lebewesen ist Licht ein lebensnotwendiger Faktor So dient die Beleuchtung von
Aquarien nicht nur ästhetischen Gesichtpunkten, sondern in erster Linie der „Energieversorgung“
von Pflanzen - auch von Zooxanthellen, die in den Korallen leben
Neben der Energieversorgung hat das Licht für viele Tiere noch weitere Bedeutungen Steinkorallen
synchronisieren ihren Fortpflanzungszyklus mit den Mondphasen Auf diese Weise laicht eine große
Zahl von Tieren synchron, d h zur gleichen Zeit ab Dies erhöht die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass die
Eier im freien Wasser befruchtet werden, beträchtlich
Der Aqua Medic Light Computer steuert nicht nur das Tageslicht, sondern er simuliert den
natürlichen Mondphasenzyklus durch einen gedimmten Schaltausgang Die Intensität des
„Mondlichts“ variiert im 28 Tage-Zyklus zwischen Vollmond und Neumond
Die Anwendung reicht von Aquarienanlagen über Terrarien bis hin zu Vogelvolieren
2. Merkmale
Der Light Computer hat einen relaisgesteuerten sowie zwei triacgesteuerte Leistungsausgänge
Zwei Leistungsausgänge sind für die Tagesbeleuchtung und lassen sich wie eine gewöhnliche
Zeitschaltuhr einstellen Der dritte ist der gesteuerte Zyklus für das Mondlicht
ageslicht:
Kanal 1: mit je 1 Ein- und Ausschaltzeit für die Hauptbeleuchtung (z B
Metallhalogendampflampe), Belastbarkeit 6 A, 750 Watt, relaisgesteuert
Kanal 2: mit je 1 Ein- und Ausschaltzeit für die Nebenbeleuchtung (z B Leuchtstofflampen),
Belastbarkeit 1,6 A, 150 Watt
Mondlicht:
Kanal 3: für 230 V-Glühlampe, max 100 Watt Die Mondphasensteuerung ist an Kanal 1
gekoppelt
Zum Erzeugen einer natürlichen Dämmerung läuft das Mondlicht vor Abschalten der
Hauptbeleuchtung (Kanal 1) am Abend zunächst mit voller Leistung parallel Diese Zeit heißt
Vorlaufzeit
Nach Abschalten der Hauptbeleuchtung bleibt das Mondlicht für eine gewisse Zeit bei voller
Leistung (Nachlaufzeit) Nach Ablauf dieser Zeitspanne dimmt das Mondlicht auf Mondhelligkeit
herab, die bis zum Morgen beibehalten wird
Am Morgen läuft der gleiche Prozess ab: Das Mondlicht wird vor Einschalten der Hauptbeleuchtung
auf volle Leistung hochgedimmt (Vorlaufzeit) und bleibt noch nach Einschalten der
Hauptbeleuchtung für die Dauer der Nachlaufzeit eingeschaltet
Die Lampe wird geregelt: 75% der Leistung bei Vollmond, 12% bei Neumond (Restlicht zur
Orientierung der Fische)

4. Inbetriebnahme
Das Light Computer-Set umfasst das Steuerungsgerät und eine 3-fach Steckdose
ACH UNG: Beim Anschluss der Steckdose sind unbedingt folgende Symbole und
Anschlusswerte zu beachten:
1 = Hauptbeleuchtung Metallhalogendampf, max Anschlusswerte: 4 x 70 W
3 x 150 W
2 x 250 W
1 x 400 W
2 = Nebenbeleuchtung, Leuchtstofflampen bis 150 W
3 = Mondlicht, Glühlampen bis 100 Watt
Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes:
1 230 V-Anschluss herstellen
2 Einschalten: durch Drücken der ON/OFF-Taste wird das Gerät ein- bzw ausgeschaltet
5. Programmierung
5.1. Uhrzeit und Datum
Nach dem Einschalten wird zunächst die Uhrzeit in Stunde und Minuten im Display angezeigt (z B
14:49) Drückt man kurz die IME/DA E-Taste, wird das Datum in Tag und Monat angezeigt
(z B 19 05)
Einstellung:

• IME/DA E-Taste drücken und halten, bis die vorhandene Datumsanzeige blinkt

• Mit den + und -Tasten das aktuelle Datum einstellen
•

• Speicherung des eingestellten Datums durch nochmaliges Drücken der IME/DA E-Taste Jetzt
erscheint blinkend die Uhrzeit:

• Mit den + und -Tasten die aktuelle Uhrzeit einstellen
•

• Speicherung der Uhrzeit durch nochmaliges Drücken der IME/DA E-Taste Die Uhrzeit wird
jetzt ohne Blinken angezeigt
5.2. Beleuchtung
Bei der Programmierung von Tagesbeleuchtung und Mondlicht sind folgende Programmierpunkte/-
anzeigen zu berücksichtigen:
A1 Einschaltzeit von Kanal 1 (Hauptbeleuchtung, HQI)
A2 Ausschaltzeit von Kanal 1
A3 Einschaltzeit von Kanal 2 (Nebenbeleuchtung, Leuchtstofflampen)
A4 Ausschaltzeit von Kanal 2
II.1 Vorlaufzeit des Mondlichtes (gekoppelt an A1 und A2)
II.2 Nachlaufzeit des Mondlichtes

Die Tagesbeleuchtung (Kanal 1 und Kanal 2) wird mit Hilfe der Taste SONNE programmiert:
Drücken des Symbols SONNE:
- Es erscheint zunächst A1 im Wechsel mit der werksseitig gespeicherten Einschaltzeit von Kanal
1
- Durch Drücken der + und -Tasten kann die gewünschte Einschaltzeit eingestellt und durch
nochmaliges Drücken von SONNE gespeichert werden
- Es erscheint jetzt A2 im Wechsel mit der vorhandenen Ausschaltzeit für Kanal 1
- Auch sie kann mit + und - eingestellt und durch Drücken von SONNE gespeichert werden
- Anschließend erscheinen A3 und die Einschaltzeit für Kanal 2 sowie A4 und die Ausschaltzeit
von Kanal 2

- Auch sie können mit + und - eingestellt und mit SONNE gespeichert werden
Wichtig: Die Kanäle 1 und 2 müssen eine Mindestprogrammdauer von einer Stunde haben, da
Beleuchtungszeiten unter einer Stunde vom Computer nicht verarbeitet werden können!!! Eine
Programmierung über Mitternacht ist ebenfalls nicht möglich
Mondlicht:
Die Programmierung des Mondlichtes (Kanal 3) erfolgt mit Hilfe der MOND-Taste
Vor- und Nachlaufzeit des Mondlichtes (siehe auch Punkt 2) werden wie folgt eingestellt:
Drücken der MOND-Taste:
- Es erscheint zunächst II 1 im Wechsel mit der Anzeige der werksseitig gespeicherten
Vorlaufzeit
- Durch Drücken der + und -Tasten kann die gewünschte Vorlaufzeit eingestellt werden, z B
„0 30“ für 30 Minuten
- Durch nochmaliges Drücken der MOND-Taste wird die Vorlaufzeit gespeichert
- Anschließend erscheint II 2 im Wechsel mit der Anzeige der werksseitig gespeicherten
Nachlaufzeit
- Durch Drücken der + und -Tasten kann die gewünschte Nachlaufzeit eingestellt werden
- Durch nochmaliges Drücken der MOND-Taste wird die Nachlaufzeit gespeichert
6. Störungen
Sollte bei der Programmierung oder während des Betriebs eine Störung auftreten, kann das
gesamte Programm gelöscht und neu programmiert werden:
- Stecker ziehen
- Nach ca 10 Sekunden: IME/DA E-Taste drücken und halten
- Stecker wieder einstecken
Jetzt sind alle Werte auf ihre Ausgangswerte gesetzt; der Light Computer kann neu programmiert
werden
Wenn ein Schaltausgang z B nach einer Überlastung durch zu hohe Leistung der angeschlossenen
Lampen ausfällt, muss das Gerät eingeschickt werden
7. Garantie
AB Aqua Medic GmbH gewährt eine 12-monatige Garantie ab Kaufdatum auf alle Material- und
Verarbeitungsfehler des Gerätes Als Garantienachweis gilt der Original-Kaufbeleg Während dieser
Zeit werden wir das Produkt kostenlos durch Einbau neuer oder erneuerter Teile instandsetzen
(ausgenommen Frachtkosten) Im Fall, dass während oder nach Ablauf der Garantiezeit Probleme
mit Ihrem Gerät auftreten, wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Fachhändler
Diese Garantie gilt nur für den Erstkäufer Sie deckt nur Material- und Verarbeitungsfehler, die bei
bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch auftreten Sie gilt nicht bei Schäden durch Transporte oder
unsachgemäße Behandlung, Fahrlässigkeit, falschen Einbau sowie Eingriffen und Veränderungen,
die von nicht-autorisierten Stellen vorgenommen wurden

1. Basics
For nearly all living organisms, light is an essential factor Therefore, the lighting in aquaria is not
only for aesthetic viewing, but the primary energy provision for plants - and zooxanthellers living in
corals
Apart from being an energy provider, the light has further implications for animals Stone corals
synchronize their reproduction cycles with the phases of the moon In this way, a large quantity of
animals synchronize their spawning This increases the probability of successful fertilization
The Aqua Medic Light Computer is able to regulate not only the daylight, it also simulates the
natural cycles of the moon The intensity of the simulated moonlight varies during the 28 day cycle
from full moon to new moon
2. Features
The Light Computer has three adjustable channels The first two are for daylight and can be set like
a standard timer The third is for controlling the moon light cycles
Daylight:
Channel 1: For every single on- and off-time for the main lighting (i e metal halide lamp) is a
load requirement of 6 Amp, 750 Watt
Channel 2: For every single on- and off-time for the secondary lighting (i e fluorescent lamps)
is a load requirement 1 6 Amp, 150 Watt
Moonlight:
Channel 3: For 230 Volt light bulbs, maximum 100 W This channel is dependent on channel 1
In order to generate a natural twilight, the moonlight works before the switchoff of the main
lighting (channel 1) initially parallel with full output for a certain time This time is known as „intro-
time“
After switching off the main lighting, the moonlight remains on at full power for a limited time
(diminishing time) After completion of this time, the moonlight generates the required brightness
until the next morning
In the morning, the same procedure follows: Before main lighting is switched on, the moonlight
increases to full intensity (intro-time) After the main lighting starts, the moonlight remains on for
the continued (diminishing) time
The light is adjusted as follows: 75% of power by full moon, 12% of power by new moon (fishes
need some light for their orientation)

4. Starting
The Light Computer Set contains the control unit and a triple socket
NO E! For the connections pay attention to the following symbols and values:
1 = Main lighting metal halide lamp, maximum values: 4 x 70 W
3 x 150 W
2 x 250 W
1 x 400 W
2 = Secondary lighting, fluorescent lamps up to 150 Watt
3 = Moonlight, light bulbs up to 100 Watt
Starting:
1 Connect to 230 V power source
2 Turn unit on by pressing the ON/OFF button
5. Programming
5.1 ime and Date
After the unit has been turned on, the display indicates the IME in hours and minutes (i e
14 49) By briefly pressing the IME/DA E button, the DA E is displayed in day and month (i e
19 05)
Adjustment:

indicator indicates the need to adjust the current time

5.2 Lighting
For programming/adjustment of day and moon light consider the following displays:
A1 On-time of channel 1 (main lighting, metal halide lamps)
A2 Off-time of channel 1
A3 On-time of channel 2 (secondary lighting, fluorescent lamps)
A4 Off-time of channel 2

II.2 Diminishing-time of the moonlight
Daylight:
The daylight (channel 1 and channel 2) is adjusted by using the button SUN
Press the SUN symbol:
- Initially, A1 is alternately displayed with the on-time of channel 1
- Press + or - button to adjust the desired on-time and press SUN again to store it
- Now, A2 is alternately displayed with the off-time of channel 1
- Press + or - button to adjust the desired off-time and press SUN again to store it
- Follow the same programming procedure for A3 (on-time channel 2) and A4 (off-time channel
2)
- Press + or - button to adjust the desired off-time and press SUN again to store it
Important: The difference between A1 and A2 must be more than one hour!!! A programming of
A2 past midnight is not possible

Moonlight:
The programming of the moonlight is done by using the MOON button
Intro- and diminishing time of the moonlight (also refer to item 2) are adjusted as follows:
Press the MOON symbol:
- Initially, II 1 is alternately displayed with the current intro-time
- Press + or -button to adjust the desired on-time, i e „0 30“ for 30 minutes
- Press MOON to store the intro-time
- Afterwards, II 2 is alternately displayed with the diminishing time
- Press + or -button to adjust the diminishing time and press MOON again to store it
6. Failures
In case of failures during the programming procedure, the complete program can be deleted and
re-started:
- Pull out the plug
- After 10 seconds, press and hold the IME/DA E button
- Put in the plug
- Now, all values are set to 0; the Light Computer is ready for re-programming
- If one channel fails, i e because of an overload caused by lamps with a too high wattage, the
unit has to be sent in
7. Warranty
Should any defect in material or workmanship be found within 12 months of the date of purchase
AB Aqua Medic GmbH undertakes to repair or, at our option, replace the defective part free of
charge – always provided the product has been installed correctly, is used for the purpose that was
intended by us, is used in accordance with the operating instructions and is returned to us carriage
paid The warranty term is not applicable on the all consumable products Proof of Purchase is
required by presentation of an original invoice or receipt indicating the dealer’s name, the model
number and date of purchase, or a guarantee card if appropriate This warranty may not apply if
any model or production number has been altered, deleted or removed, unauthorised persons or
organisations have executed repairs, modifications or alterations, or damage is caused by accident,
misuse or neglect
We regret we are unable to accept any liability for any consequential loss Please note that the
product is not defective under the terms of this warranty where the product, or any of its
component parts, was not originally designed and / or manufactured for the market in which it is

1. Principe
Pour quasi tout organisme vivant, la lumière est une nécessité absolue Par conséquent, l'éclairage
des aquariums n’est pas seulement présent pour le plaisir des yeux mais absolument nécessaire à
la croissance des coraux et en particulier à zooxanthelles
Outre l’apport d’énergie, la lumière a d'autres implications pour des animaux Les coraux durs
synchronisent leurs cycles de reproduction avec les phases de la lune Beaucoup d’organismes se
synchronisent ainsi pour se reproduire Ceci augmente la probabilité d’une fertilisation réussie
Le Light Computer d’Aqua Medic permet non seulement de gérer l’éclairage du jour mais il simule
également le cycle de la lune L'intensité du clair de lune simulé change pendant le cycle de 28
jours de la pleine lune à la nouvelle lune
2. Fonctionnement
Le Light Computer dispose de trois canaux réglables Les deux premiers gèrent la lumière du jour
et peuvent fonctionner comme un minuteur standard Quant-au troisième, il sert à la gestion de la
lumière lunaire
Jour:
Canal 1: Gestion de l’allumage et de l’extinction de l’éclairage principal (par ex HQI) sous 6
A, 750 W maxi
Canal 2: Gestion de l’allumage et de l’extinction de l’éclairage secondaire (par ex tube bleu
actinic) sous 1 6 A, 150 W maxi
Nuit:
Canal 3: Pour un éclairage incandescent 230 V de 100 W maxi Dépend du canal 1
Afin recréer un crépuscule lunaire naturel, avant l’extinction de l’éclairage principal (canal 1)
Allumez l’éclairage crépusculaire afin qu’il acquière son rendement optimal Ce délai est appelé
«intro-time»
A l’extinction de l’éclairage principal, l’éclairage crépusculaire acquière son rendement maximum
pour ensuite diminuer en intensité (diminishing time) Après ce laps de temps, l’éclairage
crépusculaire demeure ainsi jusqu’au matin suivant
Le matin la procédure est la suivante: Avant que l'éclairage principal ne soit allumé, le
crépusculaire monte jusqu'à sa pleine intensité (intro-time) A l’allumage de l'éclairage principal,
l’éclairage crépusculaire décroît
La lumière est réglée comme suit: 75% de puissance pour la pleine lune, 12% pour une nouvelle
lune (Les poissons ont besoin d'une certaine lumière s’orienter)

4. Mise en marche
Le Light Computer dispose d’une unité de commande gérant les trois prises électriques
Attention! Pour les connexions, être attentifs aux symboles et aux valeurs suivants:
1 = Eclairage principal ex HQI valeurs maxi 4 x 70 W
3 x 150 W
2 x 250 W
1 x 400 W
2 = Eclairage secondaire tube de 150 W maxi
3 = “Clair de lune”, éclairage incandescent de 100 W maxi
Mise en marche:
1 Brancher l’alimentation sur le 230 V
2 Mettre en marche l’unité en pressant sur le bouton ON/OFF
5. Programmation
5.1. Date et heure
Alimenté, l'affichage indique l’HEURE en heures et minutes (c -à-d 14 49) En appuyant sur
brièvement le bouton de IME/DA E, la DATE est affichée en jour et mois (c -à-d 19 05)
Mise à jour:
•

• Appuyez et maintenez le bouton de IME/DA E enfoncé jusqu’au clignotement de la date
•
••
• Appuyer sur le bouton +/- afin d’afficher la date du jour
•
••
• Appuyer sur le bouton IME/DA E afin de mémoriser cette date
•
••
• Maintenant le clignotement des heures et minutes indique que vous pouvez régler l’heure
•
••
• L’heure se règle de la même manière que la date
•
••
• Appuyer sur le bouton IME/DA E afin de mémoriser cette heure
5.2. Ecalairage
Pour la programmation de l’éclairage jour et nuit vous disposez des écrans suivants:
A1 Allumage du canal 1 (Eclairage principal HQI)
A2 Extinction du canal 1
A3 Allumage du canal 2 (Eclairage secondaire, tube)
A4 Extinction du canal 2
II.1 “Intro-time” de l’éclairage lunaire (couplé avec A1 et A2)
II.2 “Diminishing-time” de l’éclairage lunaire
L’éclairage du jour:
L’éclairage du jour (canal 1 et canal 2) est réglé à l’aide du bouton SUN
Appuyez sur le symbole SUN:
- D’abord, A1 est affiché avec la période active du canal 1
- Appuyez sur le bouton + ou – pour régler la période d’activité désirée puis appuyez sur SUN
pour la mémoriser
- Maintenant A2 est affiché avec l’extinction du canal 1
- Appuyez sur le bouton + ou – pour régler l’extinction désirée puis appuyez sur SUN pour la
mémoriser
- Utilisez la même procédure afin de régler et mémoriser les données A3 et A4
Important: La différence entre A1 et A2 doit être supérieure à 1 heure! Une programmation de
A2 après minuit est impossible!

Eclairage de nuit:
La programmation de l’éclairage de nuit s’effectue avec le bouton MOON.
“Intro-time” et “diminishing time” se règlent comme indiqué ci-dessous:
Appuyez sur le symbole MOON:
- D’abord, II 1 est affiché avec la valeur actuelle d’«intro-time»
- Appuyez sur le bouton + ou – pour définir le «on-time» par ex 0 30 pour 30 minutes
- Appuyer sur le bouton MOON pour mémoriser l’ “intro-time ”
- Maintenant, II 2 est affiché avec le «diminishing time»
- Appuyez sur le bouton + ou – pour régler le «diminishing time»
- Appuyer sur le bouton MOON pour le mémoriser
6. Disfonctionnements
-En cas de problèmes durant la programmation celle-ci peut être effacée et remise à zéro:
-ébranchez l’alimentation électrique
-après 10 secondes, appuyez sur le bouton IME/DA E
-rebranchez l’alimentation électrique
-les valeurs sont maintenant à zéro et la programmation peut recommencer
-Si un canal pose problème, par exemple en cas de surcharge électrique, l’unité doit être
renvoyée
7. Garantie
AB Aqua Medic GmbH assure une garantie de 12 mois à partir de la date de l’achat sur tous les
défauts de matériaux et d’assemblage de l’appareil Elle ne couvre pas les pièces d’usure comme le
tube UV-C ou la gaine de quartz Le ticket de caisse original sert de preuve d’achat
Durant cette période l’appareil est remis gratuitement en état par échange de pièces neuves ou
rénovées (hors frais de transport) Si durant ou après la durée de la garantie des problèmes
apparaissent avec l’appareil adressez vous à votre revendeur
Cette garantie n’est valable que pour le premier acheteur Elle ne couvre que les défauts de
matériaux ou de fabrication, qui peuvent apparaître dans le cadre d’une utilisation normale Ainsi
ne sont pas couverts des dommages liés au transport, à une utilisation inadaptée, à la négligence,
à une mauvaise installation ou des manipulations et des modifications effectuées par des
personnes non autorisées
