How to remove the Freevent HME

the HME mode as much
as possible, which means
whenever you are not
speaking.
Combining a speaking valve with the strengths of an HME - with a simple twist
For maximum respiratory
care, an HME should be
used day and night.
During daytime with the
speaking valve and while
you sleep with the HME
DigiTop, that also allows
finger occlusion for
speaking.

How to attach the Freevent Connection Strap
DO NOT bathe or swim with the device. This could cause water to enter
the airways.
DO NOT use the Freevent Speaking Valve during sleep since the airway
could be blocked unintentionally. Use the HME DigiTop instead.
Please note: Freevent DualCare Speaking Valve can only to be used with tracheostomy tubes if you have free passage for air through
the upper airways.
