2.Entertheusernameandpassword.Ifyouaccessthedeviceforthersttime,youmustsettherootpassword.SeeSeta

Setanewpasswordfortherootaccount
Important
Thedefaultadministratorusernameisroot.Ifthepasswordforrootislost,resetthedevicetofactorydefaultsettings.
1.Typeapassword.Followtheinstructionsaboutsecurepasswords.SeeSecurepasswordsonpage4.
2.Retypethepasswordtoconrmthespelling.
3.ClickSave.Thepasswordhasnowbeencongured.
Securepasswords
Important
Axisdevicessendtheinitiallysetpasswordincleartextoverthenetwork.Toprotectyourdeviceaftertherstlogin,set
upasecureandencryptedHTTPSconnectionandthenchangethepassword.
Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforyourdataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasthey
maybeusedinvarioustypesofinstallations.
Toprotectyourdatawestronglyrecommendthatyou:
•seapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.
•Don’texposethepassword.
•Changethepasswordatarecurringinterval,atleastonceayear.

2.GotoAudio>Systemsettings.
3.Edittheleaderaudiodevice:
3.1Clickthepencil.
3.2Enteraudiodevicenameandenterusernameandpassword.
3.3ClickApply
4.Ifpossible,changetoMulticast.
5.Addaudiodevicestotheaudiosystem:
5.1nderAvailableaudiodevices,clicktheplussigntoaddanaudiodevicetothezone.Ifyourdeviceisnot
listed,clickAdddevicemanuallytoaddthedevice.
5.2Foreachaudiodevice,settheaudiodevicenameandenterusernameandpasswordforthatdevice.

Calibrateandrunremotespeakertest
Thespeakertestisatestthatcanbeinitiatedfromaremotelocationtoverifythatthespeakerisworkingasintended.Formore
information,seeSpeakertestonpage16.
Note
Duringcalibration,itisrecommendedthatsomeoneisphysicallypresentattheinstallationsitetolistentothetesttonesand
ensurethatthetesttonesarenotmufedorblockedbyanyunintendedobstructionsinthespeaker’sacousticpath.
Calibratetheaudiodevice:
1.GotoAudio>Devicesettings.
2.ClickCalibratetocalibratetheaudiodevice.
OncetheAxisproductiscalibrated,thespeakertestcanberunatanytime:
1.GotoAudio>Audiosettings.
2.ClickTesttorunthespeakertest.

TherearetwotypesofsetupsforSIP.APBX-serverisoneofthem.seaPBX-serverwhenthecommunicationshouldbebetweenan

emailtoadenedrecipientwhenaspeakertestfails.Thespeakertestisconguredtobeperformed18:00everyday.

•AudiosentfromAXISCameraStationtoanAXISnetworkaudiodevicecannotberecorded.

2.Associatetheaudiodevicewithacamera:
2.1InAXISCameraStation,gotoDevices>Streamingprolesandselectthecamerathatyouwanttoassociate
theaudiodevicewith.
2.2Inthedevice’sstreamingprole,selecttheaudiodevicefromtheSpeakerdrop-down.
2.3ClickApply.
2.4Totesttheassociation,gotothecamera’sLiveviewinAXISCameraStationandclicktheSpeakbutton.When
youspeakintothecomputer’smicrophone,theaudiodeviceplaystheaudio.
3.Prepareaudiocliplink:
3.1GotoAudio>Audioclips.
3.2Clickthelinkiconforanaudioclip.
